Delicious, I’m going to go with delicious. Twice in one week delicious. Yup, it’s no Fresh Local Wild(same truck, sold to Vera’s and rebranded), but it’s a wonderful place. As the intro says, I’ve been twice this week and it was great both times. Had the same order, classic burger + chili cheese fries, and it was wonderful. The truck is parked a block away from my work, and at this point, I regret not having visited earlier(since its close and the food is great). I get what the previous reviewer said about value, my order came up to $ 12.60 for a simple burger + chili cheese fries, but I was full enough to last until 8PM before having dinner. I was stuffed. Did I mention the chili cheese fries, they are amazeballs, the container is filled all the way to the top. This could be a meal onto itself($ 6.30 — how’s that for value), they are that filling. I very much enjoy Vera’s restaurant, and this is a nice addition to the neighbourhood — it also saves me the walk over to Gastown for a Vera’s burger indulgence.

It’s nice to get a fresh, meaty burger on the street. Vera’s burger features a clean tasting patty, on a perfectly toasted sesame bun, topped with a slice of tomato and leafy green lettuce(not the bland iceberg kind). I tried the day’s special which included bacon and real cheddar. It was delish. One complaint is that the daily special cost $ 9.5 after tax, which would have made this quite expensive street food if I had sprung for fries and pop. A basic burger combo is about $ 11. I’ll give 4 stars for the well presented burger, but for the price, I don’t think I’ll be a regular.
