New York Carpets

We’ve been coming here for some time now and we really like their selections but more importantly, they prices. They have wide range of prices and can always find awesome carpets for discounted price. Highly recommended.

This man is up to no good. Put in padding under our carpet that was defective. He knew it was defective. Was rude and obnoxious and difficult to deal with. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE

We walked in, helped right away, picked out 2 different kinds of carpet for our two rooms, paid deposit and had people come measure and install two days later! Great price for nicer carpet! The installers were polite and helpful, they came early at 8:30 and were done at 2:30. They helped move furniture too. Great easy experience! Will recommend!

After finishing a room addition, I went to try and match my existing carpet to carpet the new room. Patti helped me in selecting a carpet within my budget and matched it, to the best of her ability, without seeing the existing flooring. Home Depot want double what New York Carpet asked. New York Carpets is excellent!

We had such a great experience with New York Carpets! Alison was absolutely wonderful. She was knowledgeable, honest, not pushy and had fabulous customer service. We purchased both laminate and carpet for our house and the quality and price of both were exceptional. The crew that installed the flooring did a wonderful job and our home looks fabulous! I would recommend them in a heartbeat!

I got a good deal. But the two rooms they installed the carpet in was literally falling apart in less than a year. I guess you get what you pay for. But now it looks so bad, I have to replace everything they did. They install to begin with was pretty horrible, but the install guys were great, it was the carpet that was falling apart. They told me it was «first quality» too. What a waste of time, energy and money.

Just bought flooring after shopping a few other stores on Tile Mile. Great experience working with Tom. NY has very reasonable pricing. Material was ready for pick up same day. Will highly recommend to family and friends!

The prices are decent but the staff is unprofessional. I had to search out assistance even though I was one of three customers in the building at 11:30 on a Saturday.
In 10 minutes, I figured out what I wanted.
The staff was too busy ordering lunch and playing on the intercom to promptly run my credit card.
After finally completing the purchase, I was told to pull around the side of the building to have them place the roll of carpet in my truck.
I waited 10 minutes and thought maybe I better tell them I’m out there. I was told they were on the way, even though the roll of carpet hadn’t budged.
15 more minutes and they came out to tell me the size of order, because they wrote it down incorrectly.
10 minutes later they finally came out with the carpet.
The only good customer service was when I started to drive off without the padding and they ran after me.

Very helpful sales people on the floor, and not pushy at all about buying. John was very knowledgeable about the types of carpets they had in stock, and we got a good quality carpet with no visual imperfections for a good price. The measuring and install process were arranged without problems.
The only reason I take off a star is for the installation process… the workmen were punctual and very efficient, but there were quite a few nails left over on the floor after they left AND they damaged a tile on my staircase during the installation of the carpet and never pointed it out to me. The tile popped off the floor and the grout was cracked, and now the tile is loose. I wouldn’t have demanded a discount or anything, but when you damage something in a customer’s home they do need to be told about it. If I hadn’t been watching them I wouldn’t have known, since the foreman never mentioned it at all.

Very impressed with the service! Tommie Thomas was/​is great working with. Our carpet goes in our new home in June. We’ve been using New York Carpet for years and will definitely recommend it to other and Tommie as well.

Went in recently to look for flooring for our new house, it’s nice to know they have knowledgable staff! Tommie Thomas was so sweet and helpful, she went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and confident with our new flooring. We didn’t purchase anything yet, but when we make a purchase we are definitely going to purchase through Tommie.

Hands down the very best place to purchase flooring in Orange County. Best selection, best prices, best service and professional installers. You do not need to buy second quality carpet. They carry first quality carpet, as well as tile, wood and vinyl flooring. Ask for Alison for amazing service.

Just make sure that you are home while these guys install your carpets. They had good prices but customer service is seriously lacking. The installers spoke English and were diligent; however, moving furniture and reinstalling the closet doors proved to be too challenging for the crew. I called back to voice concerns that a desser had its door ripped off and the closet doors no longer opened and closed. The call was fielded by ‘Joe’, and after reviewing pictures I texted him, Joe’s response was that I needed to shave down my doors and it was my responsibility. I explained that it was as simple as removing a shim but he had no interest. After 2 hours of labor with the closet doors where I needed to take out a shim on the bottom to align them well to open and close… I was alerted by my phone to a charge for the balance which I had yet to approve. This meant that immediately after my complaint phone call that Joe turned around to charge my card in spite. I call Joe back and told him to get approval from customers before charging your card and he mentioned he felt that I wasn’t going to call back so he went ahead with the charge. It’s refreshing when you find a vendor who takes pride in their craft, this is not that vendor. It should have been a red flag for me when I saw people complaining when I was walking the showroom floor; in fact, two ladies walked out after nearly closing a deal. I found the prices too tempting and carried on however I am now debating if that was a smart move. This place is crawling with shady individuals, buyer beware.

Professional, courteous, punctual, excellent communication and high integrity.
I needed carpet in a rental property, I was able to handle all this over the phone & email.
I’ve used NYC on several occasions and they’ve always exceeded my expectations.
I can’t say enough good things about Mandy, and the install guys for making it a stress free transaction.

I am very pleased with my flooring that I ordered through NY carpets. Allison was very helpful and knowledgeable about the different types of porcelain tile. She also helped me pick out the right carpet for my house. They were very accommodating with my schedule.
The carpet was installed in one day and they installers were very friendly and did a great job.
Our porcelain tile took 5 days for the install. The workers were there every day on time. My only complaint was that they didn’t cover my baseboards with anything such as tape to protect them.
The pictures don’t do the floors justice, they look amazing in person.

Great selection of EVERYTHING you need for your flooring needs.
Carpet seems to be their specialty, but they have great selections of tile, porcelain tile, wood & laminate. No pressure or any attempts of up-​selling at all.
We had came a week or two before and spoke to John but today we were greeted and helped by Alison. She was very helpful and gave us a good price and was very patient. She also told us about a place that sells Italian Beefs: P
I’m glad I came here and will send anybody I know that needs flooring done to go here with confidence.

Had an excellent experience with the team at New York Carpets. They had affordable pricing and great service. Alison and Lisa were very helpful in choosing my tile combination for my bathroom remodel. Mike checked up on me to make sure I was taken care of.
They had my order ready for me to pick up once I told them how much tile I needed. The process went smoothly from beginning to end. I will definitely be back for any tile, flooring, and carpet needs in the future.

I don’t ever write reviews on here but I figured if I could prevent just one person from having to deal with this company, it would be worth it.
To make a long story short — We ordered carpet and had it installed, the installers broke a mirror, we called Joe, the installation manager, to discuss it with him and he basically laughed and stated that it wasn’t their fault. He was so extremely rude that we had another order already placed with them and immediately cancelled and went next door to DELTA carpet. WOW — talk about night and day. Such wonderfu, friendly service… Go to Delta and you won’t be disappointed.

Overall a good experience. Derrick was our measurement guy. He was in and out and even bought some Girl Scout cookies from us.
A few weeks later I called to have carpet installed. The guy on the phone was not pleasant to deal with. He was short and gruff but he did ultimately get in touch with Derrick who figured out what we had ordered. Derrick remembered the Girl Scout cookies and then was easily able to identify who we were.
The installers were 10 minutes early. Ten minutes late would have been better for me but good job anyway. The installers were done in about six hours and did a great job. A couple of times they informed me of issues they didn’t cause.
Bottom line: this is a great company to do business with and I’d recommend them 100%. Thanks guys. I LOVE my new carpet. It’s heaven under my toes.
