History

Established in 2006.

Alpine was started by Cliff after many years working in the Heating and Air Conditioning business. We are focused on providing high quality work for a fair price. Our goal is to address your issue in a timely manner, and provide you with accurate information so we may recommend the most appropriate solution. Alpine was started in 2006 by Cliff Holden. He has been in the HVAC industry since the 90’s, and since then Cliff has grown a very loyal following. In February 2014, he decided it was time to enter a new era, taking advantage of modern A/​C technology and energy/​cost efficient methods for Heating and Air Conditioning. This is when Corey joined forces to leverage their combined skill sets and make Alpine a known entity in Austin, Texas. We have been changing the way business is done in the HVAC business ever since.

Wow. Chose Alpine because of their stellar Unilocal ratings and was not dissapointed. Were able to come repair my heater same day for a great price, without any lectures about how old (1980s) my system is. Will never use another company. Thanks Alpine!

I had to have my HVAC ducts replaced and found Alpine through a recommendation on the Crestview neighborhood listserv. I got an estimate from them and from another company and Alpine came in lower (though, admittedly, the other company was proposing more extensive insulation work). I went with Alpine and the guys there were great to work with — they were efficient, got the job done in the time they said, and really went out of their way to make sure I was happy with the work. I highly recommend them!

Our AC went out during the hottest time of the year — and we had a newborn less than a week old at home. Cory at Alpine was very sympathetic and sent out a tech immediately to fix our problem. We were so grateful for the fast service and the very reasonable price we were charged. We will definitely call Alpine in the future and highly recommend them.

Called in this morning because my ac was short cycling. They walked me through how to properly clean and maintain the ac unit. They arrived with in an hour of contacting them. Very knowledgeable and courteous. I would highly recommend their service.

I have used Alpine in the past and was very satisfied. As luck would have it, my compressor died and needed replacement. Cory from Alpine gave me an excellent price, his crew showed up as promised, and the job was done perfectly. The Alpine crew was extremely polite and professional. The finished up and were on their way in a few hours, with my house cool again. Anyone who needs an honest, reliable AC contractor should contact Alpine.

When my thermostat went completely blank, Alpine Heating & Air Conditioning could not have been any more helpful! They walked me through trying to fix the issue on the phone, and when that didn’t work, the owner personally stopped by and fixed it free of charge. There was just a wire loose, but of course I barely knew my HVAC from my breaker box, so I would never have figured it out. The company was recommended by a neighbor, and I’m very glad I listened to the suggestion. If I ever have any real AC or heating problems, I will absolutely be giving them a call.

Made a service call to b*** air since they were my usual ac guys.
It was during the summer when the temps were in the 100s and extremely hot. My ac unit stopped blowing cold air and with 2 kids that was unacceptable. I called b*** air to come take a look. The tech took a look at the capacitor and said it needed to be replaced but that the real issue is with the coils since the unit was older. Made sense. He gave me a quote within 10 minutes after being on the phone with his office/​boss. Wanting to do my homework on the units i told him i would think about it. To make a long story short i called alpine to get a second opinion. They told me that i did NOT need a new unit and that replacing the capacitor is sufficient when b*** air told me the coils were bad. My unit lasted through the fall and into winter and going strong.
Alpine was willing to lose $$$ to be honest. They will get my business in the future.
Honesty is rare in the ac business and i am so glad i found alpine.

Only four reviews with five stars for an AC repair place?! Just can’t be true, can it? Well, it is true! My wife and I are totally blown away with the awesome service we received from Alpine.
We noticed that our outside condenser unit would only switch on intermittently when the air came on during the week, then it stopped working completely one Thursday evening. I called up Alpine Friday morning and spoke to Cliff (one of the owners) and he was able to send his tech, Juan, before noon. Cliff quoted around $ 120 bucks. Other places we called that morning were quoting $ 150 to $ 300 for the same symptoms.
Turns out all that was wrong was a blown relay switch that was fixed in under five minutes. Juan was very helpful and showed us the old and new parts. He looked over our entire unit and checked the freon level all with a big smile and great sense of humor.
We cannot express how pleased we are with Juan, Cliff, and Corey over at Alpine. Parts and service charges totaled under their estimate of $ 120 bucks!!! We’ve already recommended them to a few of our friends.

I came home from work Friday evening to a house that was about 86 degrees. The AC was blowing but it was not cold. With a pregnant wife, AC is an absolute MUST! I immediately began calling around. After speaking w/​3 different places, they all wanted to charge me overtime because it was «after hours» and it was a weekend. One of them wanted to charge me $ 110 bucks just to come diagnose the problem. My buddy referred me to Cliff at Alpine. Cliff had a technician at my house within 20 minutes of our call. He diagnosed the problem at no charge and came the next morning (Saturday) to install the new part. I have pretty handy friends so I looked up the part needed and planned on installing myself but after hearing Cliff’s quote, it was so reasonable that it was just easier to have them do it. I didn’t get ripped off and my AC is working better than ever. Most importantly, my pregnant wife is cool and comfortable.

I can not say enough kind things about Alpine Heating and Air! I called at 4:45 pm with a nonfunctioning A/​C and was all taken care of 2 hours later. Cliff and Corey were so friendly. They walked me through ruling out my thermostat as the source of the problem over the phone and them immediately send over a technician to have a look at my unit. The technician was super friendly and very knowledgable. The price was very fair and no extra charge for after hour service! If you are looking for a honest, friendly, local business, look no further! I would definitely recommend Alpine to any friends or neighbors.

We have used Alpine Heating and AC for three years, without complaint. Cliff, the owner and main technician, is honest, professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and prompt. If it sounds like I’m singing his praises, it’s because I am! Cliff has mad skills and he’s not afraid to use them. If your AC needs a simple, inexpensive repair (which ours usually did), he’ll tell you. If your AC is shot to pieces (which happened to us once), he’ll tell you that, as well.
Alpine is a small, local company. I’ve met one of his employees (he may have more), but it’s usually going to be Cliff that you’re dealing with. This is fine by me!

Alpine Air is the best! After meeting with 10+ A/​C contractors for a new unit installation, Cliff was my first choice based on the thoroughness of his explanations and availability to answer all my questions. The pricing was beyond fair and the work was excellent. His crew was very friendly and courteous, cleaning up well at the end of the day. I have no hesitation with recommending Alpine air to all my friends and family.

Yes 5 stars for as good as it gets! Cliff at Alpine is the guy who makes it all happen, having been a landlord for years I have used sone AC guys who are okay but the service and expertise al Alpine is unsurpassed.
