I still refer people to Randy all the time and it’s always a positive experience. Randy is one of a select group of contractors I believe are at the top of their profession. When you look at his crew, they’ve worked for him loyally for years. That speaks volumes. Neat, clean, perfection and what a nice bunch of people. You own’t be let down by this contractor. Randy is also a heck of a nice guy and extremely well-​regarded in his community for his work with youth.

R & R Drywall just completed a project in 4 areas of my home: living room, dining room, entry and a hallway. There were holes in the plaster from electrical line replacement, wall and ceiling water damage, cracks that had been repaired previously and had problems, and miscellaneous edge dings. All the major cracks were strengthened with mesh and a durabond overlay. All the electrical holes and water damage disappeared and the surfaces near the outlets, sconces, switches and lights were repaired. My walls and ceiling are textured. All the repair work matches the existing surface perfectly!
Randy warned me that the crew starts early and Carlos, Omar, and Rubin were there by 7:30 each day. They completely covered the floors with that heavy paper and plastic and practically gift-​wrapped any furniture remaining in the work area. They were very respectful of my antiques and cleaned the work area at the end of the day. Randy came to show the crew the extent of the work at the beginning and came at the end to see whether everything was to my satisfaction. He answered email immediately when I had questions. A very easy company to work with and a very satisfactory end product.

Promising start, but communications slowed and then went totally quiet. Probably too busy.

We have high lofted ceilings and they were able to repair the drywall and match our existing texture perfectly. We had a very large hole from water damage. I was told by other companies that it was almost impossible to get an exact match.
They also matched missing crown molding and they did beautiful trim work and left our house spotless!

Randy’s team was hired by condo to do work and he made it seamless to help me paint several rooms with only a day’s notice. Without any experience of my own, he walk ed me through every step.
His staff was very professional and efficient too — they helped me replace the paint that I bought by mistake and didn’t charge me for it! Out of curiosity, I observed every step and his team proved to be very clean cut in their approach.
Randy is so friendlyand helpful — such a delight!

I hired R & R Drywall to completely smooth out and re-​finish every interior wall of a 1600 square foot condo that was originally covered in horrendous «orange peel» texture. When I walked into my home to see the finished product, I almost started to cry because it was so stunningly beautiful. Randy and his crew are true masters of their craft. In addition to the flawless work, Randy was incredibly kind, patient, responsive, honest and professional. He answered all of my emails immediately and never seemed annoyed by all of my questions and requests. He tells his people to treat the home like it is their own, and I will tell you, that is exactly what these guys did. I was very surprised how clean they left my home. The job took exactly as long as he estimated and came in exactly on budget. He coordinated with my painter (who he works with from time to time) for a seamless handoff. I would recommend R & R without hesitation and only wish I had another home for him to work on.

I had a very small job — a ceiling patch job where we had to open our kitchen ceiling up to fix some upstairs plumbing. But Randy didn’t blow me off like some did — in fact, he wasted no time in setting up an appointment within the week. And exactly on time, Pedro showed up. And I can’t say enough good things! Pedro was friendly, considerate, and above all, extremely professional and he did excellent work! I can’t even see where the hole was now. I was warned by other drywallers that it was likely they wouldn’t be able to exactly match the texture of the rest of the ceiling, but that was never brought up by Randy or Pedro, and the reason is because they can, and do, perfectly match the textures. I’m just blown away.
R&R was recommended to me by a guy housesitting next door, and I thank the stars for both him and R&R Drywall. If, God forbid, I ever need drywall services again, I know EXACTLY who to call. Thanks, Pedro and Randy!

Responsive and friendly, explained job thoroughly and each time showed up promptly. Did a beautiful job, and MIRACULOUSLY neat/​clean afterward! I have had plastering done before and it was a totally different experience. I’d never use anyone else but R & R in the future!

In the complex that I live in there is a lot of work done by R&R Drywall. They have such a good reputation that the association doesn’t let anyone other than R&R Drywall make any repairs especially in the common area. They do such good work that when the job is complete, you can’t even tell that there was any work done. These guys do it all. I have a very odd color on my walls and ceiling, they even take a paint chip to match the color perfectly. They get in and out in one day– in my case anyway, The guys working there are nice, friendly, polite people that do great work. I would definitely rexommend R&R Dryawall to friend’s, family and colleagues.

Had a small project at a rental condo I own. The homeowner association preferred I use this company since the repair had to do with a common area. I called Randy, who seemed like a very reasonable man. He quoted me a small amount ($ 375) to repair a hole in the wall and I agreed. Later a few more holes had to be done as well as there was a leak that was difficult to detect. I received a bill for $ 1515 now, which was apparently directly paid by the homeowner association, and now they were billing me to reimbursed. I called Randy and he did confirm his first estimate to me and then told me that he wasn’t aware that I would be the one paying the bill, so he told me he would give me a discount, as a homeowner courtesy. He told me to just pay $ 840, flat. I thanked him for his consideration towards me and told the homeowner association about our agreement. The homeowner assoc. insisted that I still owed the $ 1515.00. I left Randy a message again and asked him to explain to the association that he had agreed to a reduced price for these few holes in the wall. (The holes were not really significant in size, just large enough for the plumber to check the pipes). He did not respond. I waited a few more days and called again to see if he had spoken to the management office and explained our conversation to them. Once again no answer. I thought that strange since we had a very nice rapport and a clear understanding. Today I called the homeowner association and was told he doesn’t want to talk to me and will not return my calls!. I am so disappointed with this change of professionalism from Randy, who I would have gladly given a great review except that he would never give me the estimates in writing, and is clearly backing off from our verbal agreement which was completely clear and concise on the phone: «$ 840 flat».
I find this behavior unprofessional.

We’ve had Randy do repairs on our townhouse over a 28 tear span and just recently his crew did a great job repairing drywall for our bathroom remodel. As everyone else has found, R&r is professional and reliable with easonable pricing.
Randy is really a nice guy and easy to work with; as you can guess he is the only drywall specialist we call!

We used R & R drywall to frame and build a wall in our unit along with some other patching work. After contacting several contractors, we chose Randy because he was the most reliable, reasonable, and responsive. Pedro and his crew showed up on time everyday, worked hard, and were so trustworthy. Will definitely be using them again if we need work done.

Randy and his crew did an exceptional job on our house project, which was to replace an entire panel of wet drywall/​insulation and rotted wood siding in the front of our house. They also patched up some electrical cut-​outs from recessed lights. Randy is a very solid, focused contractor who obviously knows his trade extremely well– I was very confident in his plan for our project. I am amazed at the magic the crew performed — the repair, painting, and texturing were flawless. I am a very detail-​oriented person, and I like things done well. They surpassed my expectations. The result is as perfect as it could get. For this particular project, I researched the 4 top-​rated drywall companies on Unilocal and Angie’s list and received a plan and quote from each one. I decided that R & R had the best approach. I would hire them again in a second.

Randy Romriell, who runs R & R, is one of the nicest guys around. But better yet, he is reliable and does excellent work.
Our project was a challenge: a major plumbing line replacement left cuts in walls in 7 apartments in a vintage San Francisco building. Although some walls were drywall, others were the original 1925-​era lath-​and-​plaster. R & R won the bid, with a reasonable price and a good work plan. Randy called in a plaster specialist for an assist, and did superb work on both kinds of walls. When we had to re-​do a second plumbing line, the next year, we called only R & R to bid.
And if I have more work, I will call them again.
I rarely do «rave» reviews, but this business deserves it.

The R&R Drywall crew recently provided me with the most amazing quality service ever! The entire process «far exceeded» my highest expectations.
Randy’s crew repaired ceiling and wall cracks in 5 rooms of my 1930 home. The work was done in a timely manner, without fuss, and most importantly, «no» mess. The crew members were meticulous in caring for my antique furniture, covering and taping everything to insure nothing would get dusty in the process.

A significant amount of work was done in the bedroom. The workers had completely covered everything in the bedroom, with the exception of my cat. Rather than disturb him, they carefully covered the area, leaving a round open space with him sound asleep in the center!

Randy and his crew are AWESOME! They came to my home and ensured that my hardwood floors, etc., were covered well before beginning their work. They worked very efficently and completed the job well. My home was left imaculate. I will definitely use them in the future!

Randy and crew are very trustworthy, old fashioned, and honest hard workers. Full 8 hrs a day of hard work with only one short lunch break was really impressive.
Small job demo of 2 bedroom walls, add R-​13 insulation, and drywall was 1.5 days, on time, exact estimate price.
Communication was some phone tag, all e-​mails replied to, really zero negative comments.

We usually ask our family and friends for referrals when it comes to home projects. This job required more specialized skill. After reading numerous Unilocal reviews, we found R & R Drywall best fits our needs.
Randy was quick to respond. He gave us several options on our plaster ceilings which developed cracks over time. All options were reasonably priced. We went with the better option of installing drywall over the plaster. We requested the textural ceiling instead of the flat finish. They matched the color to our other existing ceilings. Excellent job!

We called R & R to repair drywall after having our dryer duct replaced. R & R was recommended by Innovative Mechanical (see my review). We called them on the day that Innovative was working on the duct, and got a message. Randy called us back very quickly, and we asked if they would be able to come by the next day to handle the work. He said no problem.
Randy came by with his Foreman Pedro, looked over things quickly, and gave us the estimate on the spot. As soon as we agreed, he was out the door, and Pedro and his mates went to work. They kept everything covered and clean, and the work quality is top notch. They matched the light texture we have in the kitchen, and the smooth texture in the hall. After we painted, you would not know that we ever had any work done.
