History

Established in 2010.

Blessed with creativity from early childhood, Janelle Williamson attended the Fashion Institute of Technology and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh where she Studied design.

Janelle’s apartment eventually became a canvas for her vision,

And let fly a passion for interior design. Inspired by her creative and comfortable

space, girlfriends began to «pick Janelle’s brain,» until one suggested that she start her own company. Novia — aptly meaning «girlfriend» in Spanish — was born!

At Novia Design Studio, Janelle works to meld lighting, color, fabric, texture and personal style to create a room that is worth living or working in-​a warm, meaningful space. Janelle believes it all starts with listening to her client’s needs and then creating a design that is inviting, yet clean and simple.
