Best diner burger around hands down. Great chicken fingers also but the new honey mustard is terrible… Tastes like a cup of mustard. Not sure why they changed it but it’s gross. Get the cheeseburger!

Meh, was not impressed at all. Service was good, though.
I usually go to Jimmy’s down the street but I wanted to give this place a chance. The menu wasn’t as extensive as most diner menus, but it was okay.
I started with the Manhattan Clam Chowder (cup). I didn’t taste any clams… it tasted like canned soup. I didn’t finish it.
Then I ordered coffee — diner coffee, They were good at refilling it.
For my entrée I got fish and chips. My mistake. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t impressive. You can tell the fish is just frozen fish sticks… it tasted like really cheap fish. Fries are fries. $ 10
My boyfriend got the beef tenderloin sandwich. $ 15…why is this $ 15? I don’t know. It was white bread with beef on top, a little coleslaw and some fries. The meat was ok (I had a bite).
We also got a slice of cheesecake. The cheesecake was good! I didn’t like the crust, though. ($ 5)
I just felt like a lot of their menu was overpriced.
Most likely, I won’t be back.

food is vey tasty all the time and comes out very fast. The service is good here as well and you pay at the counter when the bill comes.

The food here is usually very good, the only issue I have is they seem to close when they feel like it especially on weekends. The hours say open until 8pm on Sunday’s but I went by there at 6:35pm on a Sunday & they were already closing so I ended up going to Jimmy’s a few blocks down & they were still open.

First off I wanna start by saying I was an excellent customer for years until last night! I placed my order at 7:15 PM and the food did not arrive until almost 8:40 (I live 1 avenue and 1 block over). Normally, I would pick it up but I was hot and tired from a long commute home and decided to have it delivered. The food arrived cold, the fries were soggy and there was no feta cheese in my husbands Greek salad. Almost every time we order there is a problem, whether we pick it up or have it delivered. Either there is cheese on my hamburger, no gravy, no salad dressing, wrong cheese on cheese fries, etc, I have to repeat myself every time. Is the gravy in there? No cheese on the burger right? It’s always something! So when I called last night to tell guy they forgot the feta he was VERY Nasty! I went on to tell him (calmly) that this is an ongoing problem and I am a good customer. He was unapologetic and after realizing that I was annoyed offered to «credit» me. I paid in cash! What are you crediting? I told him we would no longer be ordering from Parkway. He didn’t seem to care… NOTE: You are in the customer service business. People are ordering from you because they don’t want to be aggravated with cooking on a hot day. Be a little more considerate and a little more careful!!! I will spend my money else where from now on! It’s a shame because I usually enjoyed the food (when they got the order right) and they are close by.

Food is not bad, but waiting an hour and a half for a delivery is just insane, they are only 3 avenues away from me and I ordered at 6:30 and it is now 8:15 and no food… I understand busy, but this is just ridiculous… and when I called, the first response I get is «its on its way» I didn’t even tell him the order… So how do you know its on the way??? I’m done with this place and I suggest you stay clear away!
*update* I contacted grubhub @ 8:20 where I placed my order through, they contacted the restaurant and the person there said it just left… and grubhub then proceeded to tell me that I was the only order placed tonight for their restaurant through grubhub, so there is literally no excuse for this… its insane. I must iterate, stay away… especially if you plan on eating this anything the same night you order… and as I post this still no order yet… I will keep you guts updated

Delivered at 8:30…two hours later…

I liked this diner until this morning. The burgers are great, fries are good but unfortunately the staff is rude and I refuse to spend my money in a place that the staff replies with «uh ugh no» to asking if the oj can be strained. When I asked if they have a strainer he goes «no, we don’t do that here» when I informed him I placed an order last week and it was strained he says «idk who did that, we don’t do that». Sorry, that’s bs. And the «uh ugh no» completely unprofessional and beyond rude. I canceled the entire order and do not plan on eating from this diner again. Sucks bc they had potential. Thanks parkway for the amazing customer service!
BTW WAY OVERPRICED NOT WORTH IT

I just moved to the area and found this diner. Its a great place for breakfast and brunch. Food is perfect, exactly what I want in diner. It’s a family place since you can see people bring their kinds on the weekends. will be back more often.

I use to order from here more. But as time went on they became worst and worst. There food just isnt the same anymore. I gotten my burger cold before.

This diner is pretty close to where I live. Just a few blocks away. It’s not that bad. Not one of my favorites but it’s good for a last minute meal. It’s also good when your parents are treating. Lol.

Very quiet and comfortable. Service is fast and friendly. The breakfast is very satisfying

Parkway resturant has good food and service. The only reason I didn’t rate it higher is because of the prices. Some prices are very high for items that shouldn’t be that pricey. The resturant is pretty clean inside and has fast delivery. I highly recommend the cream of turkey soup! I will be back!

I love this place, it’s just a 2 minute ride from my house. The place is clean and the food is good. We love their burgers which are charbroiled and you get it how you ask for it. I saw another review and they said they had soggy fries… Never had a soggy french fry here. They also make a pretty decent egg cream, which I really miss having a decent one at a diner. Usually they’re awful, no on knows how to make one. I get hot open turkey sandwhich that is very moist and delish. I’ve had that in other places with dry overly thick cut turkey and awful. Whatever we have had here has been very good and so has the service, no complaints. It’s our go to when I don’t feel like cooking. Decent prices and portions.

Awful awful coffee– just terrible. Poor service but surprisingly good wraps. I had the chicken florentine wrap and while it was a little greasy, it was really really good. My friend had the balsamic chicken wrap and she liked it. The French fries were bad though, cold and kinda wilted. I don’t think the wraps were enough to bring us back to Brooklyn though. Oh well

I only have ever come here for breakfast on weekends but each time the service has been great and the food is cooked exactly how I order it.
This is normally frequented by the local senior citizens but that doesn’t deter me from coming here. I usually order one of the omelets with whole wheat toast. The waiter brings water right away and always asks if we want coffee. The coffee is fresh too.
Nothing really special about this place but its a great neighborhood place for some decent Diner food.
Each time I have been here has been a good experience.

Nice little neighborhood place that has been there for a pretty long time. Looks like a luncheonette, but is really a diner. Have only had breakfast there, but it has always been good. Good coffee too!

Ate here a couple of times the food was way over priced for what they served. Not large portions and not too good on the tasty side. Over all it was ok

Just your average Greek diner to me. Nothing special really overall. The food was decent, but service seemed lax; no one refilled my water or even bothered to ask how it all was. My boyfriend also killed a small kind of fruit fly bug that was on our table — kinda gross.
My boyfriend got the beef gyro platter and I got the Virginia ham omlette. Came out to a $ 20 bill or so. Not bad.

I’ve lived around the corner from this place my whole life, but I have only came here to eat a couple times. I have to say, I was happy with the prices of breakfast. They weren’t over inflated, and worked with my budget. The breakfast I ordered was great, two sunny side eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast, orange juice and coffee for like $ 6. I was very ok with that. The bacon wasn’t that great but aside from that, I liked this atmosphere very much. Cute hostess too.

First of all, I always thought this place was called «New Parkway.» Secondly, it’s really a very decent diner on 13^th Avenue in an area where there aren’t very many similar establishments.
It can get crowded on weekends, but you usually get a seat rather quickly, and I think that it’s kind of a neighborhood favorite since you always see a lot of older people in here having a meal. The menu consists of very standard diner fare, but the prices are good and the portions are generous — I am a big fan of their breakfast stuff which is served all day. There is even a counter where you can sit and eat if you want a «real» diner experience.
Overall, I think this place is consistently good and their friendly and endearing wait staff make it a fun place to get a meal.
