Our belief in the need for modern day craftsmanship was the inspiration for this company. There are many companies that install or repair windows in the San Diego area. Many are well intentioned but have decided that windows are something that can be quickly introduced to a structure with the sole intent of reducing energy demands and providing a bit more comfort. We, on the other hand, believe windows are architecturally one of the most important and intriguing components of your home. They can turn the ordinary into the extraordinary and the plain into spectacular!

At Custom Engineered Openings we do not simply slip a new window into your existing opening and rely on silicone to protect your home, we go back to the original framing, correct any damage that may exist then install your new windows in a fashion that, once completed, will enhance the beauty of your home and perform beyond your expectations.

History

Established in 2005.

10 years in the distribution industry, 15 years manufacturing residential aluminum clad wood, vinyl, composite, commercial, heavy commercial and architectural aluminum windows and doors. This was the foundation for Custom Engineered Openings.

Our founder decided it was time to put his 25 years of experience into offering San Diego the highest quality products installed in a manner that will insure weatherproofing, improve aesthetics, save energy and provide a high return when selling the home. Many talk about this but at CEO it is our passion.

We will only replace windows by going down to the original framing so we can confidently install a new window system that will not look like an after thought. It will always look like it was designed as part of the structure. We embrace the art of craftsmanship and deliver it on every project we touch.

Business Owner

Steve started in the window/​door business 25 years ago as a representative in the distribution industry. 10 years there taught him the importance of customer relationship and consistency in service. He then moved into the window and door manufacturing industry both, residential and commercial.

While in manufacturing, he had the opportunity to help design new products; worked closely with R&D and developed a passion for high performance, energy efficient products. Throughout his time manufacturing, he trained window dealers around the country on proper selling and installation methods which was what finally drove him to start Custom Engineered Openings. He simply grew tired of the poor installs and misleading sales tactics he was seeing in the marketplace and finally decided to do something about it.

Custom Engineered Openings’ commitment to the marketplace is to build relationships by correctly installing the highest quality, most energy efficient windows and doors produce.
