Although our Comfort Control is a young company, our team of technicians has been involved in the heating and air conditioning industry for over 30 years. Our founder Josh Garst proudly served in the armed forces for six years, seeing combat in the Iraq war. Upon finishing his military service, Josh decided to begin a career in heating and air conditioning business. Applying the same principals of disciple and dedication that he learned in his military service, Josh has worked with multiple companies growing his expertise in the heating and air conditioning industry. Had a really positive experience with them. Furnace quit working in the middle of a cold snap. They sent someone out within 3 hours of my call. The technician was the owner of the company. He fixed the furnace quickly, explained how and why it had broken, and charged a fair price. I will definitely call again whenever my old furnace finally does for good.

We noticed that one of our units was not working properly, of course in the middle of the summer. We called the next morning, and Comfort Control had a technician out the same day. They clearly explained the problem, and were out the following day to complete the repair (due to having to order a part). From the office staff to the gentleman doing the work, they were professional, friendly, and very reasonable in price. I recommend keeping their contact information handy should an A/​C problem arise. These are the folks to trust.

I would give Comfort Control more than five stars if possible! They have been taking such good care of us for nearly two years now, in both our current and former home before we sold it. Our realtor referred us to Josh initially and now he’s the only person we call, and we would (and do!) recommend him/​Comfort Control to anyone! They are prompt, knowledgeable, courteous and fair. And, after having used countless other a/​c companies in the past and waited around all day for them, I am always pleasantly surprised and delighted when Comfort Control makes and keeps an appointment *time* (as opposed to a window) and regularly even arrives early! They have given us their prompt attention and excellent service consistently regardless of the size of the job (everything from replacing entire units and ductwork to just a contactor sizzled by ants that had incapacitated the unit). Josh, the owner, also makes a point to come out personally and check on things. He, Mandi (who runs the office/​schedule), Steve, Trevor et all are a great team! Can’t say enough good things about them!

Background: an old 700 sq ft house poorly cooled by noisy, ugly and inefficient window units. We started looking into high-​efficiency mini-​split systems to heat and cool the house instead.
Process: very Goldilocks-​esque. First contractor seemed very smart and competent, but never delivered a quote or returned our calls. Second contractor was very slimy, and the price seemed rather steep. The third, Josh here at Comfort Control, was just right. Smart, competent, super professional, and very competitive in the price point.
The Experience: excellent from start to finish. Both appointments (initial consultation and then the install itself) started exactly on time. Josh and his employees were super efficient (about four hours start to finish) and respectful in our house, which was much appreciated as I was on a few important conference calls while they were working. The install — inside and outside — looks great and functions great.
These folks deserve your business. I’d happily give them more myself, but I don’t foresee any issues in the HVAC department for quite some time thanks to their quality work.

We bought a twenty year old house with an HVAC system that’s just as old. After being in this house for one year the system needed to be serviced (as we expected) so we used our home warranty service. Needless to say all they did was barely patch the issue and the system shut down not even a month later. I didn’t want to use them again so I asked my friend for a recommendation. He told me about comfort control and they came the same day I called (which was on a Sunday)! Which was great because we also have a newborn in the house. Trevor was our technician and he completely rehauled our unit and thankfully we won’t have to buy a new system yet. The coil and fan looked like they hadn’t been cleaned for twenty years!!! Why didn’t the other guy see fix or even tell us that! Aghhh. I am so grateful for finding these guys!!! 5 star service all around!

Over the years I have used many ac and electric companies for both residential and commercial. Some were great and others were, well lets just say I did not use them again! I have used comfort control for both ac and electric and will continue to as they are quick to answer and respond, fair and honest on the price. The knowledge and level of professional service is out of the park, thank you guys for keeping our power on and temperature regulated!!!

This is my second scheduled visit with them and again, the work is top-​notch and the rate very reasonable. I am once again recommending this business without hesitation. Having them back in February for my HVAC systems spring tune-​up.

Recommended by Mickey the Pluminator. They did a great job for the money on the first call for just basic maintenance and service of two systems at my house. Used them just recently after 1 year and while the work was done right and competent, charges were excessive. $ 90 for a start/​run capacitor and $ 90 for a start relay. These are $ 25 parts. I don’t mind having a markup, but this is too much! The service tech did adjust the price of the capacitor down $ 30 to $ 90 after I complained.

They came recommended to us by our fantastic plumber, Mickey the Plumbinator — came out to deal with an AC condenser drain issue, checked and confirmed my DIY fix was indeed all good, and at my request checked the AC electronics and found four fried geckos had toasted a bit of the system. Did the fix, showed me what and where the issue was, were prompt and not expensive… I highly recommend Josh at Comfort Control. They drove all the way out from Buda to help us in Cedar Park on an early Sunday, and I was glad to have their help!
