I got my professional headshots through Jeanne and I have to say that I was quite nervous before doing so. I have a reputation for having a «fake smile» and all my photos usually cause any ounce of self-​confidence I have to dissolve away lol. I needed to update my LinkedIn profile and it was suggested by a colleague that I contact Jeanne.
At first I was shy being that she is a professional photographer she must come across tons of people with fantastic smiles and so when I told her about how I dont have a very good smile she immediately made me laugh and said «see you have a great smile!»
Jeanne made me feel comfortable and truth be told by the end of it I wanted to keep taking more photos when usually I dread when someone wants to take a picture with me in it. Not only did she make me feel confident and relaxed but the photographs came out fantastic. I couldn’t imagine having a better experience with a photographer and I will certainly be coming back to her whenever I need a professional photographer again.

Jeanne is the most passionate, professional, and dedicated photographer I have ever had the pleasure of working with. My family came to Oahu in 2015 and after seeing her work I knew that I wanted her to capture our time together in Hawaii, and I was not disappointed at all. The location we shot at was stunning, but the photos were she took were utterly breathtaking. When my mother opened up her metal prints she called me crying because she was so overwhelmed by the moment and the high quality of art. Jeanne truly captures memories that will be cherished forever.
She was very professional throughout the whole experience. From giving us turn by turn directions to the location, to staying out longer than expected to get the right moment, and delivering the photos to us so quickly. I cannot imagine working with anybody else. Her knowledge of lighting and getting the right angle or pose in a picture is so apparent when you see the results. I am getting married in Hawaii in April and choosing JeanneMarie Photography to capture those moments is the easiest decision I have made. Thank you so much!

Jeanne and her team did a WONDERFUL job on our engagement, ceremony and reception photos. Very professional, helpful, and organized. Great communications. I had the pleasure of working with Jeannemarie last August on a double location wedding. She was extremely professional, organized, and prompt (Everything a wedding coordinator dreams of!) She was able to capture the lengthy list of family shots given by the bride and groom in a timely manner as to not affect the overall timeline. Jeannemarie’s photos speak for themselves. They are beautiful, creative pieces of art and any bride and groom would be lucky to hire her for their special day! Any wedding coordinator would be smart to! I look forward to working with Jeannemarie on many future events!

We used Jeannemarie for our wedding in 2011. Was a bit nervous beforehand as l didn’t want our special day messed up with a poor photographer.
However, she couldn’t have been more professional and the quality of her work was fantastic. What l particularly liked was her knowledge of how to get the best photos and was blown away once l got to see the pictures afterwards.
So if you looking for a really good photographer with very competitive pricing then l would recommend you use her.

We recently hired Jeannemarie to photograph a very important outdoor event for us. Her photographic eye is truly amazing! We found her through a national wedding magazine that her work was featured in, and while this event wasn’t a wedding, we couldn’t have been more pleased with the results. We received everything we had discussed in the pre event meeting and she was amazingly prompt in providing us the photos. Our event actually went a bit long and she got some shots that we weren’t even aware were being taken. A couple of those photos ended up being some of our favorites! A true professional in every sense of the word! If you’re in Hawaii and need to have a memorable moment captured in photos, she is definitely THE one to call. (I might also mention that her prices were very reasonable too!)

I wanted an amazing photographer for my daughter’s Ho’ola’a ceremony. The event was scheduled for Kualoa Beach — a very sacred place for Hawaiians. Researching photographers in Hawaii is quite a task given there are a zillion. Came across Jeannemarie’s website. She had great photos and even credits in national magazines. Seemed like a perfect choice.
We also hired a video crew (Thank, God). The ceremony was beautiful and we were excited to get the photos. Sadly, the photos were not so beautiful. They were overexposed, poorly composed, and missing the most important parts of the event. The beautiful background of Mokoli’i might as well have been nonexistent. There were lots of photos of people around a picnic table — but hardly any of my daughter during the ceremony. There were NO photos of the Kahu and my daughter clearly seen during the blessing.
When I asked Jeanne about this, she admitted the exposure was bad. She said that she would re-​touch all the photos and fix the backgrounds to resemble the photographs she so proudly displays on her website. One month, 2 months, 3 months — nothing. Excuse after excuse of being busy — crazy weekend — lots of weddings, etc. I was pretty easy going about it at first, but then it got ridiculous. I guess her business motto must be, «I’ll decide who’s photos are more important.» Or maybe she prioritizes based on how much money you spend with her?
I asked her for a disc of the RAW photos so I could hire another photographer to work on them in Phoenix, she refused. When she finally posted some ‘re-​touched’ photos, she said she worked on the ones SHE felt were necessary.
Guess what? As the customer, I MAKE THAT DECISION. No one should have to wait 4 months for photographs to be completed.
Sadly, after many emails and certified letters (with no response), I’m forced to resort to using the legal system to get my money returned. Unfortunately, that doesn’t make the photos any better.
Here’s the bottom line: Jeannemarie may be a good photographer when she controls the setting, the subjects, the timing, etc. She’s NOT qualified to shoot an event that requires quick decisions, anticipation, and LIVE action that cannot be re-​created. I suggest she may want to concentrate on shooting buildings — they don’t move.
Be very careful if you decide to hire this photographer and DON’T pay her the entire fee until AFTER you see your photos.
