Long Beach Segway Tours by Wheel Fun Rentals

This was sooooomuch fun! Took my husband as a suprize for his 30^th birthday, he loved it!
Oh and ask for Landon! He’s the best tour guide! He’s funny and friendly!

My wife and i just returned from an amazing adventure on our Segways through the Long Beach waterfront! What a unique way to experience this beautiful city!
Our guide, Vincent, was extremely professional and thoughtful throughout our journey. We were hesitant about jumping on Segways for the first time, but Vincent’s thorough explanation made us feel completely comfortable. In no time, we were speeding along the bike paths and roads of the Long Beach waterfront. We covered more territory then we ever would have on bicycles. Vincent pointed out both historical and tourist attractions using amplified headsets throughout our two-​hour tour.
My wife and I had never done anything like this before and we were thrilled with every part of the experience. I recommend Long Beach Segway Tours by Wheel Fun Rentals and their staff highly for being organized, courteous and fun!

My family and I had a wonderful time! After the safety video, I was a bit intimidated to let my teen ride– but after a few practice runs, she said she felt confident to continue. It turned out to be a lot of fun and everyone enjoyed the tour. Our tour guide was DJ and he was full of energy and fun facts about the city.

We had such an amazing time with this tour. DJ was a great guide! I would recommend it to anyone.

I started my Long Beach artist date a few weeks ago with a segway tour, thanks to Groupon. I was supposed to have accompaniment, but he flaked. It didn’t matter because I was determined to get my Paul Blart on!
We started with a training that kind of freaked me out. The video showed the worse case scenarios — I can be very clumsy so all I could think of was my face on the pavement and the segway running me over. I like that we had «hands on» training in the training room so I could get a feel for the segway (which doesn’t stop unless you balance right or rest it against a wall). TIP: for those ladies who wear high heels (like me), you will have a better time learning to keep your segway from moving around!
Coco (she has about three other names) was an AWESOME guide! She described her humor as dry, but she was cracking me up! She sang and referenced old movies and musicals. She has one of the most fabulous resumes of which I’ve ever heard — and I’m a recruiter! She is a very well-​rounded and entertaining young lady. If you have the chance to request her, do so!
You can’t lose with this tour. You will get a mix of lookey-​lous gazing at you — some in awe, some in jest. But you won’t care as you glide along the coast line learning about Long Beach and enjoying the sights!

Colleen was a great guide. She knew alot about our lil town and was funny, too. She was patient and gave us good instructions.. . Not a scrape or scratch just smiles and laughs. Gonna try to plan a family segway event. Colleen look out we will be back.

The tour guide Ray was awesome! We started the day at the building that’s green. We are reminded to bring the water sunscreen and sunglasses which I didn’t bring. We were given a few minutes to collect the items in the local board walk shop, and then we began our training with a safety video display and a live demonstration by Ray. With his clear instructions, we quickly learned how to ride the Segways.
The tour began by leaving the harbor and going down the boardwalk talking about the buildings built along the beach and the celebrities who had lived there. We then went to rainbow Park and talked about how the area changed over the years and the development of the boardwalk. Next we rode over to where the Queen Mary was and talked about its history and the WW II as a troop transport ship and its ability to destroy other ships. The tour wound around to the lighthouse. Throughout the tour we had a good time experiencing a new mode of track for the first time. Ray was easy going, knowledgeable and experienced. His stories making us feel more connected with the area.

I found them through Groupon, and it was my first time doing a segway, so I didn’t know what to expect.
It was a Valentine’s Day, and the reservation over the phone was so easy and smooth, but you really have t9 make a reservation since they get booked up easily. My husband and I arrived on time, and the tour guide, Chanel, was so friendly. We sat through the safety instructions training with a DVD and in person demonstration. At first, we thought there would be just two of us (it would be a bonus for a private tour), and then the other party showed up 30 mins late. Since we got time, we were ok to start the tour late.
The thrill began when we followed Chanel to hit the road. It was so great. Chanel talked and explained the scenary the entire 1^st hour. You certainly won’t get bored at all.
Then, the other tour guide, DJ, switched with Chanel and continued the tour. DJ was so friendly and humorous. He knows so much about LB pier and downtown area. At the end, we learned a lot from Chanel and DJ, visited the spots we would never have seen by ourselves, and had so much fun driving the segway. Also, both of them told us where to take best pics and even offered to help us take pics. Even though we started the tour late, they did not shorten the time on the segway. We spent 1.5 hours on the segway tour after having spent 30 mins on the instructions.
Overall, the tour was so worth it!!! At first, I thought touring LB would be boring, but I was so wrong. I highly recommend anyone who wants to tour the entire LB downtown and pier without hurting your legs and getting sweaty in 1.5 hours with Wheel Fun Rentals!
