History

Established in 2011.

Puddin’ is a serious sweets shop serving up a rich, decadent, high-end version of the classic childhood treat. Puddin’ makes its all-natural puddings, toppings and cakes fresh daily, with love!

We use the highest-quality goods for our signature treats, including milk, eggs and butter from the organic Battenkill Valley Creamery (just a few hours north of New York City), and unique 70% dark chocolate from Icelandic confectioner Noí Síríus. Guests can mix-and-match from a selection of standard and seasonal flavors and numerous housemade toppings – including crushed graham crackers, salted caramel sauce, dried cherry compote and sprinkles – or indulge in one of Puddin’s specialty parfaits. Fresh-baked cookies and cakes are also available, as well as Stumptown Coffee, Harney & Sons teas, and Puddin’s very own addictive hot chocolate.

Meet the Business Owner

Clio G.

Business Owner

Born in London and raised in Ohio, Clio’s lifelong passion for food and pastry was nurtured at the Culinary Institute of America. There, she split her time between classes and internships in the kitchens of some of New York’s most celebrated restaurants, including DB Bistro Moderne, Café Boulud & Bar Boulud. After graduation, Clio joined the pastry team at Union Square Café before setting off on her own as a personal chef.

The idea for a pudding-centric dessert shop took shape after a client requested she prepare one of his favorite childhood treats, butterscotch pudding. As a child, Clio also relished the simple pleasures of a delicious batch of homemade pudding, and as a pastry chef, she was excited by the idea of taking this nostalgic dessert to a whole new level. Clio began experimenting with ingredients, flavors and textures, and soon everyone (clients, friends, family and friends of family) was clamoring for spoonfuls of her insanely good creations.
