Established in 1985.

Pacific Dental Care opened its doors in 1985 and has been in operation ever since.

I can not begin to express how thankful and appreciative both me & my hubby are to have Dr. Sellick as our ONE & ONLY DENTIST!!! We’ve moved from Pleasanton out to the Oakley farm country & there is NO WAY we’re gonna try another Dentist… been there, done that… horrible experience. Dr Sellick and his ENTIRE CREW are hands down THE BEST Dental experience I’ve ever had in my 58 years… and I’ve been horrified of all dentists since I was a kid :(I’d always wait till I was in the worst pain b4 going to a dentist (ask Doc Sellick!). From the first visit with him 10 YEARS ago up to about 10 days ago when I had my first deep cleaning with him, I can only say, if you’re looking for a STEP ABOVE THE REST Dentist Dr. Tom Sellick is the man! I went from avoiding a dentist visit for 5+ years to looking forward to seeing Dr. Sellick and his staff (for the multiple visits I need due to neglecting my teeth for awhile.)
Dr. Sellick immediately put me at ease and did not once chastise me or make me feel guilty that I had bad dental hygiene, etc. Instead he encouraged me by telling me the steps that we needed to take together and explained that with both of our hard work I could get the teeth and gum health that I want.
Wendy did a deep gum cleaning on me and turned a procedure I was dreading into something that was a breeze! She was so friendly and fun and made someone who is afraid of dental work totally calm.
My next step with Dr. Sellick is bleaching and veneers and I’m so excited and trust in him and his awesome staff. That said, he explained all the pre-​work (getting teeth and gums healthy first) before I could get a «quick fix.» Pretty refreshing to meet a doctor like this.
In short, could not recommend this office enough.

First of all, they are not closed Saturdays like it says here. They have one of the dentists in for cleanings on Saturdays.
I’ve been going to Dr. Bueno for about two years and I’m not too fond of him as a dentist, to be honest. The fillings I’ve had with Dr. Bueno have needed to be refilled and have cracked and come out in the time I’ve been going to him. I’ve had issues with my teeth my whole life and Dr. Bueno would assume that I don’t take care of my teeth because of how they looked. Today I saw Dr. Sellick for a cleaning and he told me the things that contribute to weakening of teeth and we figured out why my teeth are how they are. I wish my schedule was more flexible so I could see Dr. Sellick instead!

Dr Bueno and his staff are amazing. My family and I have been going there for years. They are very professional and do great work. My son recently had to have a dental appliance put in his mouth. He was very unhappy about it to say the least. Dr Bueno took an incredible amount of time talking to my son, entertaining him because he’s a very funny guy, and just making my son feel very at ease with the procedure. That type of care given is rare theses days and is very much appreciated.

I would never recommend to see Dr. Bueno to my friends. Why? — 2 of 2 of my crowns have to be redone in just 1 year after I got them! Disappointed…

I am the queen of bad dental experiences. A friend told me to go to Pacific Dental (and specifically recommended Dr. Sellick), after I admitted to spending years avoiding the dentist.
All of the staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They use updated and amazing new equipment (yes I realize I was out of the loop for a few years, but even I know their stuff is all top quality). I know Dr. Sellick is hands down the best dentist I have ever been to. He is not only a kind, patient, and a funny man, but he can also relax you with not only his personality, but the fact he knows what he is doing and he does it well. You can immediately tell this man loves what he does for a living, but he also keeps up to date on new technology, he knows it and uses it. I wish I had met him years ago, but I sure am thankful to know him now. He is a great dentist and his staff are great too. He really does care for his patients and he does great work. He is gentle, he knows his stuff, and he is a perfectionist. What more could you want in a dentist. And his staff reflect the same values.

I’ve been coming here for over 12 years and frankly I am surprised at any review less than 4 stars. I find the care to be excellent and the staff friendly. If not I would have stopped coming here long ago. Maybe some of the people who aren’t able to quite afford it should try going to a dental school. It’s a lot less money there.
I believe you get what you pay for and when it comes to my health I’ll gladly pay a little more to get great care. I used to hate going to the dentist before coming here. I have recommended Dr Bueno to anyone who tells me they are not happy with their dentist or are new to the area.

I haven’t been to the dentist in 10 years (yes I know, shame on me) and Dr. Bueno and Vicki (sorry if I misspelled it) made me feel comfortable and not at all ashamed of my poor dental hygiene. They let me know what needs to be done and were so kind about explaining everything. Thank you!

I have TMJ disorder and I am in the last few months of my orthodontic treatment.
Originally I had been seeing another doctor that sadly passed away in the middle of my treatment. The doctor that took over his practice caused my condition to regress, so I fired him and tried out Dr. Sellick. Not only did he immediately know what the previous doctor had done wrong, he was able to fix it and create a new treatment plan that has me on the doorstep of finishing my main treatment.
I won’t sugarcoat it. TMJ disorder is tough condition. Progress is slow and the treatment isn’t fun. I have often wanted to quit, because sometimes the cure feel harder than the disease, but that isn’t true. I’ll never be 100% due to the damage done to the joint before I started treatment, but I have less headaches, neck aches, joint pain and generally discomfort than when I started.
Dr. Sellick and his staff are knowledgeable and sympathetic (and empathetic — as some of the staff have similar conditions as I do). They answer my myriad of questions and bottom line it with no bullshit. I even moved my general dentistry over there.
I can’t imagine going somewhere else. Thanks for my life back.

I had many problems with dentists earlier in life and that made me hesitant to go to dentists. My family and I have been going to Dr. Bueno since 1996 and it has been a great experience. I am thrilled that my children have no dental phobias and think that dentists will take care of them, as their childhood experience here has been so good. Dr. Bueno walks us carefully through anything that has to be done and explains it in detail and I appreciate that. All the staff treat us very well and make us feel comfortable and welcome. Dee was a gem on the front desk and now Brooke is a wonderful replacement. That being said, I always insist on Ellen because she is so warm and caring and i know the cleaning will fly by instead of being something to dread.

I came here 6 years ago when seeking consultations for Invisalign; turned out to be my last stop. It was the only estimate that told me Invisalign would not fix everything — while other practices promised the sun, moon and stars.
I’ve been very happy with the personnel too friendly, they explain things, you can ask random questions and get a straight forward answer. Bonus: I’m a bit of a wimp when it comes to dental work — all stressed out! They understand and don’t rush me and are as gentle as can be.
The appointment flies by and I go on my way feeling well cared-​for.

let me first tell you i have not been to a dentist in over 7 years. due to my huge hate for needles and grinding and all the good stuff that comes from having a sweet tooth. i made an appointment here reluctantly because i had a tootah ache that would not go away. making the appointment was easy, i spoke to a nice young lady named brooke. brook was very nice and comforting and made my appointment for the following day. upon arrival i noticed this place was verry clean and a cool fish tank inside. A nice women named pam met me in the lobby and escorted me back to do some xray work. Pam and brooke being so friendly and comforting have made me comfortable abouting seeing the dentist on a regular bassis. i can also say the proce was fair seeing that i do not have insurance. I left the dentist office happy for the first time in my life and for that i say THANK YOU.

I recently changed dental providers and moved my business to Pacific Dental Care. I was fortunate to find Dr. Bueno who talked with me about my overall dental situation and made sure he had appropriate dental records for review. He was personable, professional, and extremely knowledgeable and he took time to talk with me about my hopes and expectations. New diagnostics and x-​rays were taken. I didn’t feel at all rushed.
Then I worked with Sean Vanderbilt, dental hygienist. Sean did a very thorough job cleaning my teeth and explaining procedures and about the status of my teeth and gums He recommended continued use of an electric toothbrush. He took time and never rushed the procedures. I felt he did a very thorough job and that he was very gentle, very knowledgeable, and was able to answer all my questions and went beyond to explain things to me so that I would understand the reasons behind his suggestions.
Going to the dentist can be a scary experience. But this office made me feel welcome and cared about, They respected my need to get a good perspective on my personal dental needs and always explained procedures and answered questions to my satisfaction. The work was thorough and professional. The personnel were kind, attentive, knowledgeable and respectful. I plan to stay with Pacific Dental Care and am very happy I found them!

Sooo, I believe everyone starting with Dee at the front desk, she totally sweet and usually goes above and beyond to make my visit comfortable and pleasant. Dr. Bueno and his staff are very professional. I have been going to Dr. Bueno since he started. He makes me feel at ease and is very gentle. I like how he continually takes courses to keep current with what’s out there. If you are looking for a dentist who is caring and GOOD, I highly recommend Dr. Bueno and his hygienist, Ellen.

My family went to Dr Sellick for a couple of years. Nice guy, very patient and gentle. However, the office was one of the most expensive dental experiences we have ever had. The office manager needed some help with client relations skills. This has been several years ago, but, I hear pretty much the same stuff from people I know that still go there.
If I was to review just Dr Sellick, I would give him 5 stars. Its the practice as a whole that I give only 3 stars too.
