I Unilocal-​reviewed them about two and half years ago and I was the first one to review them on Unilocal.The five star explained why we called them again when our water heater and sump pump broke down.
So Kevin was dispatched to fix the problem. He and other guys who later come to help were awesome. When installing the new tank, Kevin encountered some problem and stayed way past 6:00 pm, trying to fix it. We exchanged the text messages at night to trouble shoot the potential problems. Meanwhile he was doing research on the internet late into the night trying to figure out what went wrong. He and other guys from the Plumbing & Sewer Solutions worked over the entire weekend to make sure that we could get the hot water as soon as possible. He did a wonderful job replacing the dysfunctional sump pump. He went above and beyond to clean the drain and to ensure that the pump won’t be clogged by dirt and leaves.
We are happy to see that Carlos’s business has been expanding since last time we used the service. We are even more delighted to see that he has people like Kevin working with him who are competent, skillful, responsible and eager to solve problems. We highly recommend their service to anyone who has the plumbing and sewage problems.

Our tankless water heater wasn’t producing hot water. We called PSS and Dave G, their tankless water heater specialist, was scheduled to come out b/​6 and 7pm the following day. He hadn’t made it by 7:30 so we called and were told that he’s on his way. He came b4 8 & apologized for the tardiness. Was a very busy day. At least he came; altho he didn’t call. Hence the 4 stars, instead of 5. It was a dark and cold night. Dave explained the problem to us and told us what to do if it happened again. He exudes confidence & is very patient in using layman’s terms in his explanations & suggestions. Highly recommend this company & Dave for your plumbing problems.

I had a major clog in the pipes that go to my washing machine and dishwasher. I called plumbing and sewer solutions and they set something up for that day.
The two gentleman came out promptly at the beginning of the windowed time. Both were friendly and fast working. They fixed the problem and it has been working great since!
I would highly recommend them for any plumbing issues you may have.

Very satisfied with the service Kirby provided. He was very prompt, polite, courteous, and customer focused. He provided me the option to reduce the price which I greatly appreciated. They called me first thing in the morning to let me know what time they were coming which allowed me to plan out my day.

These guys are great. Called on a Sunday morning and within 15 minutes I had someone at my door to fix the problem. Kirby was informative and helpful and I would definitely recommend him.

I usually don’t write reviews because let’s be honest half of the so called « Unilocalers» are just wanna be critics and they get their ego stroke either by giving a bad review and taking out their anger on a small honest family business. I just want to give my honest opinion … I called the first plumbing company that popped up I searched for a plumber in my area, they quickly gave me a service window and they got the job done. They explained, in detail, the different options I had in order to repair a leak and their prices were very reasonable, after all you get what you pay for so I chose to pay a professional company vs a massive corporation or chain where they put no personal care into the service they provide. I highly recommend this company but don’t go by my word just try them out yourself!

1. I seem to be an outlier here which makes me wonder about the validity of these Unilocal reviews.
2. Here’s my situation:
a: I had a very basic job; leaky bathroom faucet (Moen Brand).
b: The guy came out and my wife relayed that he didn’t have a clue as to what to do; spent like 1 – 2 hrs fiddling with the thing and then eventually went home without fixing it but noted that we needed to purchase a new faucet and noted that he would come back to install.
c: Since this sounded odd, I called to cancel and went with another Plumber (Barnett in Livermore). The Barnett guy came out, fixed it efficiently and quickly, did not have to utilize a new faucet. Furthermore, the Barnett guy said that the Plumbing and Sewer Solution «plumber» almost ruined the existing faucet.
d: Obviously there may be very competent plumbers at this place, but it still doesn’t speak too highly of a place that would hire such an incompetent.
3. Bottomline: two thumbs down from my point of view.

Upon finding my hose had apparently leaked enough water overnight to fill my several-​inches-​from-​full rain barrel to overflowing, I called Plumbing & Sewer Solutions and within minutes – half hour at most – Kirby arrived to assess and solve the problem for me.
It turned out to be far less of a problem than I had feared, and Kirby was so polite and professional – and sweet – it made my whole day better. I will most definitely call Plumbing & Sewer Solutions whenever I need help in the future.

I was somewhat disappointed in Plumbing and Sewer Solutions.
First, their technician was supposed to show up between 11a-​12p; he wasn’t there until nearly 12:30p.
Second, he had trouble diagnosing the problem at first. Because we bought our home recently, we had a sense of what the problem was, and the most likely fix it required. Initially, the technician suggested that the problem was our water heater, and that it should be replaced. I knew this wasn’t the problem (because we got lots of hot water EVERYWHERE else but the shower). So my «radar» for detecting up-​sells was already on high.
Third, the technician charged us an additional $ 200, simply because the repairs were in a crawlspace under the house. Apparently, this is an extra fee that wasn’t included in the flat rate estimate.
Fourth, despite running water through all the lines/​pipes, he didn’t originally notice a hole in a major drain pipe. When he was finishing the job, he said that this hole wasn’t included in his original estimate. He wanted an additional $ 450 to fix that hole. We will go with another plumber for that repair.
He did fix a leak under our toilet (caused by a bad wax seal). He charged $ 150 for this, but because it resolved a serious issue, I was OK with that.
He also fixed the main leak under the house. At this point, I’m hoping this resolved that issue.
Two final concerns: 1) he spent a long time fixing the leak — nearly 6 hours; and 2) he spent a lot of the time on his phone, talking to a (presumably junior) plumber with his company. He was explaining to his co-​worker how to provide estimates for jobs, including marking up all parts by 100% if the cost of the part was less than $ 100. Perhaps this is standard practice, but its not the best thing for your customers to hear.
I’ll finish with two positives: he helped ensure my water heater got turned back on, and he helped adjust the temperature in our shower (yay for actual hot showers!)
All in all, he did most of what I needed him to do, and even though his estimate seemed high, he stuck to it. Unfortunately, I think I’ll be going with another company to finish the work.

Super professional, came in on a Saturday when other companies flat out dropped the ball on us.
Took the job, came on time, clean and fast repair, good advice on what happened, etc.
Highly recommended.

Kevin was right on time (10 am) and was very courteous and knowledgeable. He ensured that he did a thorough check of what needs to be done, gave very reasonable estimates and did the work with utmost professionalism.
Would highly recommend them and will be using their services in the future.

A follow-​up re Plumbing & Sewer Solutions. I decided to not roll the dice and get a new water heater to the replace the old one (15 years old!). With the usual competence and courtesy, the technician (David) got the job done and also fixed a water leak at no additional cost.
Great company! They will be my first choice, when I need a plumber in the future.

Great services! I have a kitchen sink problem. I spent couple days trying to unclog the sink. I try different plumbing solutions and a plumbing snake and none of them work. I called them Saturday morning and I got an appointment in the afternoon.
Sergio and Kirby are great and very professional. They explained the plumbing system to me. I am a engineer and I feel comfortable having them to do the job.
I should have call them earlier!
I would recommend them to my friends. Good jobs guys!

We just completed a project with Plumbing & Sewer Solutions and were very happy with them.
David was our technician. Carlos’ father, Jose (gotta be the hardest working man in the plumbing business!), helped him with all phases, and Kirby helped on day 1.
We replaced the sewer lines under house, running from the bathroom (toilet, bath, shower, sink) to the sewer lateral cleanout – i.e. up to where that section then meets up with the city sewer line. They also replaced a portion of the ktichen sewer line, to create a clean connection to the other part.
David arrived when promised, performed the work agreed upon, was clean, personable, responsive, and respectful. All 3 of the guys put in a crazy long first day to be sure we had running water and could use our toilet before they left.
We definitely will use P&SS again, but hopefully will not have the need to do so any time soon! :)

Carlos took call late at night around 11. Offered to have someone out at 2 am or first thing in the morning at 8 am.
Sergio, showed up minute before 8 and gave me a call outside the door. After fumbling with plunger I had slept late and didn’t wake up with phone on vibrator. Finally at 8:25 realized and called them back both Carlos and Sergio had left vm.
He had left but turned around.
Snaked out the line and got camera to check it out.
It cost me good money but I am satisfied with the professional attitude, competence and result.
Would recommend them to anyone.

Great service.
Had an emergency situation where PG&E actually broke our gas line pipe, but said they couldn’t fix it because it was on the «house side» of the meter.
We normally use another local plumber, but they don’t have after hours service.
First time with Plumbing and Sewer Solutions.
Carlos and his crew came out after hours, and then again the next morning and had our business back up and running. Very appreciative, and a new customer.

Awesome service! I had to have a refrigerator water spigot recessed in hurry for a new refrigerator delivery. Carlos answered the phone immediately and scheduled the appointment in less than 24 hours on a Holiday weekend. Only one other plumbing service I called even called me back.
The crew showed up 3 minutes early, provided me a very fair quote, completed the work on-​time and without a mess and were a pleasure to work with. They made sure to test everything out completely before they left so I had peace of mind.
What an awesome experience. I will definitely use their service in the future if I have any plumbing needs.

Call Carlos!!!
We had a leak outside, where our main house shut off valve/​plumbing is. Given the horrible drought, we were quite concerned it was leaking steadily (and not onto at least the grass!). It was a busy Saturday (for us and Carlos) but it all worked out and Carlos fixed it quickly. We will call him again.
I’ve used other Pleasanton companies before, and their fees (especially on a weekend or after hours) were much MUCH more. And as others said, you get a real person on the phone! :)

A few days after Christmas and exactly 18 hours before we were leaving for vacation our plumbing backed up. Calling our home warranty yielded very little help other than «we’ll try to expedite and get someone out there by Monday». Since our house was basically uninhabitable without running water and toilets, I took matters into my own hands and called Plumbing & Sewer Solutions. Other than the fabulous Unilocal reviews, this was a proverbial stab in the dark. It was 3:30 on a Saturday, after a major holiday, so I didn’t actually believe I would find anyone. Very fortunately for me, a real live person answered when I called. She said she would check the schedule and give me a call back, which she did within minutes. Even better, she told me Carlos would be at our house within an hour. He arrived 45 minutes later.
Carlos was super professional and was able to clear the blocked pipe. He showed us via camera that we did not have any collapsed pipes (thank goodness) and would likely remain clear for many years to come. Almost as good was how reasonable a last-​minute Saturday afternoon visit cost ($ 165).
