Neal was very knowledgeable and helpful. We locked ourselves outside the house with our baby inside. He showed up in 30mins and quickly unlocked the door (in few seconds). He also gave us some suggestions for more secured lock. His rate is reasonable. We appreciated his help. Highly recommended.

We were impressed with Neal’s quick response time and great service. In fact, Neal beat us to the house and was very relaxed when we said we were a few minutes away. We appreciated the service. My only issue was we thought it was too much money. Don’t know if that was because it was a weekend, but we would have waited for a weekday if that were the case.

Neal was such a great help! Believe it or not I had been calling locksmiths for 2 hours and these folks are the only ones who
A. called back promptly and
B. actually arrived in time
Everyone else called while Neal was already unlocking my car. Mind you, that was an hour after my last calls!
Great rate too, just $ 70.

Neil was great! Very kind and helpful. I am frustrated by how much they charge but maybe it is comparable to other places, I am not sure. But in my opinion it was way to much money for the service. However, I am very grateful that Neil could help.

I’ve had to have my car unlocked an embarrassing number of times. .. I want to remark on the fact that the locksmith who came out was clean and presentable, very friendly, and he was in a nice car. Like, I’ve had some super sketch people come and unlock my car before in super junky cars with stains on their shirts looking like total slobs! I just appreciated that for at least this one fucking time I felt safe and comfortable with the guy opening my door. Presentation matters, especially when it’s at night and I’m in a creepy dark parking lot! (I’m looking at you, Pop-​a-​lock. :-P) I hope Neal stays with this company for forever. Or, at least until I can learn to stop locking my keys in the car. :-/

Jerry Podawiltz is a slimy, cowardly con artist. He is a scammer, a liar, a thief, and an all around grifter. Do not ever let this shop service you unless you want to be robbed blind. Stay away from this lock smith as possible. This operation is crooked. Stole my card number, fraud, theft, all because I took a chance on this place. Everything they told me was a lie. If you want your info sold, stolen, etc this is the place for you. Lets help this place go out of business as fast as possible. Echo Echo!

Awful «business». Rude and seriously unprofessional workers. I had some floozy little girl take an hour to come after I was told 20 minutes. AND she was high or on something. I was quoted $ 45, and then when she finally shows up she charges me $ 120. Wtf? I laughed and told her to leave because I would NEVER pay that. She had this dumb look on her face and took a few seconds to slur up a reply. She tries to bargain me on a price, but I said I’ll only pay $ 35, and that was doing HER a favor! She used the jankiest tools I’ve ever seen, and got the door open. This place is a SCAM. Don’t take the chance. Trust me and all the other reviewers. I’ve had plenty of locksmiths who do a good job and are honest people. Not these guys.

DO NOT USE!!! My daughter accidentally locked her keys in the car while it was running and we called Locksmith Plus. We were told it would cost $ 19 for the service call and $ 35 (and up) depending on how difficult of a job it was to open the car. Our total was $ 124!!! $ 29 for service call and $ 95 to open car. I watched the guy use a slim Jim and pop open the car in 2 minutes. After complaining we got a $ 10 refund for the incorrect service charge. This is ridiculous. And the guy was late to top it off. The lady at the office told me to check with my insurance to see if we could get it reimbursed. I believe that is the reason they PAD their bills. Bad business!

I am 79 years old and I have purchased millions of dollars of goods and services in my working career. I have never felt so violated and ripped off as in my experience with Locksmith Plus. This is also the first time I have ever posted a negative review about anything.
I was charged $ 472 to cut two keys for my Ford Expedition. The same service at the Ford dealer would have cost $ 169.
I could describe in detail the obfuscation that was involved, but the bottom line is I was charged $ 472 for two keys that the dealership could have provided for $ 169.
When I called the next day to ask for an explanation the person answering the phone said she was not involved in setting prices but she would have the tech call me. I never received the courtesy of a call.
I called back a couple days later and was again advised that the tech would call me. Six weeks have elapsed and I still have not been contacted, three weeks after emailing this to Locksmith Plus!
May I call your attention to your own Customer Satisfaction Policy,
of which it is entirely possible the Medford office is unaware:

Horrible customer service.condescending.and rude. lies about inventory. avoid them.

Those red 5 star reviews should be viewed as red flags. I needed extra keys for three vehicles and asked for prices (the keys are programmed fobs). They first wanted to charge me $ 25 to come out and tell me the prices, but finally called back with quotes. After checking dealer prices, their quotes seemed odd — too high or too low. I then called them back to ask about one of the quotes, but then found out that the quotes over the phone might not be honored. I went to AA Express to get the keys made (they deserve their 5 stars, from my experience) and found out that it was very unlikely that they could have made a key for one of the vehicles since it was a very new model and the 3^rd party key software/​hardware was not yet available.

Called, they quoted me $ 70. They said a tech would call me in 5 minutes. 20 minutes later, I get a call saying they’d be here in 25 minutes. 20 minutes later I get a call from another tech saying that the first guy wasn’t coming and he’d be here in 25 minutes. An hour later, he shows up, says its going to be $ 120. Two minutes, he was done. He said that its their company policy that they’re not allowed to say they’re going to be more than 25 minutes wait, no matter how long they’re going to be. Liars and thieves.

I suppose that if you have something simple to do they can handle it. I had Locksmith Plus come to my home to cut and program a new smart key for my 2013 Ford. They were not prepared to cut the key and ended up going to a local hardware store to cut it (at least that what I was told). I was charged $ 49 to cut my key but they were never able to program it. I was left with a key that would turn my ignition but would not start the car. After 2 hours of attempts, I finally asked them to stop and I would pay for what had been done. I ended up going to All Points Locksmith on Clearwater. They were able to program not one but two keys in about 15 minutes (they were already cut). The charge…$ 85! I would not recommend Locksmith Plus and I certainly will not call them again.
I do need to say that the charge of $ 147 included an additional key (not a smart key) which they also cut BUT could NOT program that either.
The van that you see in this picture is not what came to my house. It was a young lady in a blue Nissan sedan she was not dressed professionally, seemed to know what she was doing but was not able to accomplish more than stated above.
If you could give zero stars, that’s what I would have given.

Great, reliable locksmith! My wife and I were locked out of our home after getting home from a late flight when our key broke inside the lock. This was at about 1:00am. We must have called at least 10 other locksmiths over 4 hours listed on Google and Unilocal.Including Precision Locksmith, Atlasta and Locksmith Monkey. All of which either did not respond to our messages or their dispatcher could not get ahold of anyone.
Finally we got to Locksmith Plus’ listing. We called and Kyle was at our door and got us in the door within 30 minutes. This is the only locksmith I will ever call in the Portland area. So great to have someone reliable when you need them!

I had an emergency in a rental property in Salem. I needed all the locks changed immediately. I called Locksmith Plus, Inc. They gave me a quote and found it was the most competitive of all the other locksmiths I called. Sean Stevenson the Salem technician went to the property and looked over the job. He told me it would be less than originally quoted because there were less locks to be changed. I told him to get started. He got started and when he was done he called me and took payment over the phone. I forgot to get a lockbox for the property. I asked him if had one and sure enough he did. He put the lockbox on the property with the key in it.
Now we’re good to go. He got the job done as soon as possible. he was honest about what locks needed to be changed. And he saved me from having to go get a lockbox myself and take it to the property! Time saved and money well spent.
I definitely recommend Locksmith Plus Inc and if you’re looking for a locksmith in Salem ask for Sean!

Eduardo and DJ just got me into my house in record time. I called at 8:45 and was in by 9:15!!! Super cool and very personable. Thank you. I hope I never need a locksmith again but if I do I’m calling you guys. Awesome.

So, there’s no sign on the building that tells you that Locksmith Plus, Inc. is inside, and that’s the ONLY negative thing I can say about Meier and his team.
I’d been to two different locksmiths that day. One was closed (when they said they’d be open… GRRR!) and the other was open, but couldn’t help me because they said my locks were so old, they didn’t have blanks that would work. (Double GRRRR). I was in the neighborhood, running a different errand, looked up the positive reviews on Unilocal and thought I’d give Locksmiths Plus a try.
I made the right choice. Meier looked at the two keys I was duplicating, and was able to match up the first key right away. The second key was a little more tricky. He spent time showing me the different parts of the key blanks and how he thought they might or might not match before consulting with another locksmith and deciding on a blank that he was relatively confident would work. However, because he wasn’t 100% certain it would be perfect match, he made three copies for me and didn’t charge me for them. What service! When I got back to the office, all three keys were perfect matches and opened that darn old lock without problems. I’ll definitely make Locksmiths Plus my FIRST stop next time I need keys made.

My 5 year old locked our cat in my bedroom, which has no key. After 5 desperate hours we called a locksmith. Eduardo came all the way to our house in Orchards and got the door open. He was polite, prompt, and showed my how to use a milk carton to get the door open on my own if it happens again.
10/​10, would call again if I had to.

I locked my keys out of my car at the post office, and I’m from out of town so I really didn’t know who to call. A friend of mine called around for me and decided on locksmiths plus. The gentleman arrived very quickly and he was incredibly courteous, even when it turned out that I had misunderstood the quote given to me regarding the price. Because of the misunderstanding I didn’t have quite as much cash on me as it was going to cost. Surprisingly they were very willing to work with me with the money that I had on hand and opened my car door in return for referring business to them which I am more than happy to do because of the wonderful service I received. I would definitely call them if I’m absent minded enough to lock myself out of anywhere again!

I would like to start off by saying that prior to requesting services from Locksmith Plus, Inc, I have never needed or inquired about a locksmith so I was completely unaware of the process or price range. I found a link on Google that offered a coupon code stating their service was $ 19… When I called I was told it would be $ 50… I agreed and the dispatcher told me someone would be to my location within 20 minutes to open my car. (I locked my keys inside) I stood outside in the rain for almost 2 HOURS before anyone got to me. The man who finally arrived at my location worked for an entirely different company and told me that Locksmith Plus, Inc employees were busy at the moment so they sent him. He told me that it was going to cost $ 110 plus the «service fee» of $ 19… Now if I would have originally been told that I wouldn’t have had an issue but when you are told you are paying a certain amount, that’s exactly what you are expecting to pay. When I told the gentleman I was told the price was going to be way lower he told me that I needed to call Locksmith Plus, Inc and take it up with them… Once I called them and hung up, the dispatcher called the gentleman who was there with me and they began speaking a different language that I couldn’t understand when they had been speaking English just fine. Also, I called ONE locksmith and I started getting calls from locksmiths with area codes from Colorado, Arizona, and California… I’m not exactly sure how that happened but it was really shady and sketchy… The entire experience was just absolutely horrible. I ended up only paying $ 20 in cash because that’s all I had and I was extremely uncomfortable giving them my credit card information. Scary situation!

I locked my keys in my jeep about a week ago, and these guys showed up almost immediately! Super professional and efficient. Would definitely recommend them!

HIGHWAY ROBBERY. This company contracts with local technicians, and if you get an unethical tech, you are in trouble. We were charged $ 235 for a service that, as I have learned from calling around, should have cost less than $ 100.
Our situation was that while we were away visiting family, our neighbor and house sitter accidentally messed up the door lock, which needed to be drilled out. When I called to arrange the service, I was quoted $ 54 for the service, which was a straightforward lock drill, without replacing the lock.
Because I was needing to arrange the details from a distance, and did not want to put my neighbor out more than necessary, I didn’t refuse the tech’s $ 235 fee because that would have involved having the neighbor deal with another complicated logistic of meeting a new locksmith at the house, and already he had been late and rude, and caused her to deal with his BS on a weekend morning.
The tech showed up late, got lost, had the wrong address, was rude to our neighbor, spent 10 minutes drilling out the lock, left a huge mess (metal filings a over the floor), charged me $ 235, and left. When I disputed the fee with him by phone, he claimed to have «a stack of invoices that would prove this was the going rate.» I called back to dispute the charges with management after I had called around and learned this was highway robbery, and was told that they were «sorry» for his rudeness, lateness, and mess, but they would not reimburse any of the fee, and then they blamed me for not sending him away after he gave me the quote.
Please don’t use this company. Perhaps some of their techs provide good service, but the guy who came to our call robbed us, and then the company refused to stand by any reasonable ethics of good business. We have a family, and that extra $ 150 or so that they overcharged us would have been useful as we try to get kids ready for back to school. Instead, we gave it away to this unprincipled company. Darn.

Not sure if they are the best locksmith company, but when you are in a pinch any single one of them would be your favorite. They came and helped me quickly and easily. I would right them a google review also but I only have yahoo haha.

This happened a week or two ago, my girl friend locked herself out of her place late at night, and she called this company to let her in. It went great and fine. I would write more, BUT I had already written more.
Except it was another locksmith company pretending to be these guys. I discovered I was wrong when the number later when I came back and checked and called. Wow, shady, locksmiths pretending to be other businesses and just changing the phone number. No wonder there are so few locksmiths with offices in portland. This is one though!
