The Working Artists Studio Educational Collective is a group of artists who teach art lessons and work out of the Working Artists Studio. When taking lessons with the collective you will receive instruction from an artist who is currently working in the medium that they teach in a professional artist’s studio. Our teaching philosophy is to give students solid foundational tools and practices to help them find their own creative vision. The Educational Collective provides group lessons on Sundays and private lessons any time. We are also currently offering an Artist’s Way 12 week work shop. Meet the Manager

Leah H.

Manager

Leah teaches both acrylic painting and mixed media lessons. Leah has a BS in Studio Art, has been painting for over 13 years, and has been a working artists for the past seven years. She has shown at over 20 venues since she has moved to Portland 3.5 years ago. Leah gained teaching skills by leading large groups of teens overseas for volunteer work and working as a trainer at a large coffee company for several years. While working with her students, Leah’s goal is to help them actualize their creative self whether they are a beginner or have had a long standing art practice. Her lesson are fun and tangible while equipping students with the necessary tools for free self expression.
