Poway Smog

Would have loved to experience the greatness that everyone who has reviewed this place experienced, but couldn’t even get someone on the phone. Literally called in three different times, only to have someone pick up, then hang up on me. Called back a 4^th time (thinking that perhaps they were having phone issues), and someone actually answered the call, placed me on hold, then hung up the phone after about two minutes. WTF?

We have been coming here for a few years now, and I must say, this place is the best! Edith, is especially pleasant and kind. Although, from what I understand, this place is not family owned, but it might as well be! They are very hospitable and welcoming! I will continue to come here, and I highly recommend you come here too! You will not be disappointed! I promise!

Outstanding! Not only did Dave exemplify customer care in how he interacted with a positive attitude, despite a huge line. He went above and beyond by giving us a discount we did not even ask for and giving a quarter to my daughter for toy from the machine when I had no quarter on me. This truly is as good as it gets.

Just smogged my 05 Acura with ease. Friendly quick pro service. Price is reasonable and was in and out in less then 15 mins. Double thumbs up

Quick, Easy and they open at 9am on Sunday!!. We had to take our Infiniti in for a smog I was there at 845am they got me in and out in less than ten minutes. It was 48.00 with certificate. It can be a pain in the a** finding a smog station open on Sunday. They are easy to get to in Poway if you are coming off the 15 they are in between Ted Williams Parkway and Poway rd. Best place to go if you need a quick and reasonably priced smog.

I’ve been going to poway smog for years now and every time great customer service. Edith is amazing and the tech are genuine don’t give you a run around. I don’t even live in poway anymore but always go to them for all my vehicles.

I’m on a travel job assgnment here in San Diego and needed a smog station for registration away from home. I called ahead and spoke with Edith, who told me «just come on in, we’ll take care of you!» I drive up a few hours later, and she came out of the shop to greet me. Edith’s welcoming professional customer service was the best! She and Ivan the smog inspector made it quick and painless. All I had to do was go to DMV online and pay the reg fees. What a great experience! Recommending them to all my local friends!

I actually came here a couple months ago, but its better late than never. All I have to say is that this place is awesome. It was my first time coming here for a smog check and I was in and out in no time, even if I was the third person there. The staff was awesome and nice. They even brought a cute puppy to work! I came in the morning just to beat any rush they might have, but its always good to be early to get something done right away. Edith is also a sweet lady. Thus, ends my very first Unilocal review.

In all my years of taking a car in for a smog test this was by far the best place. The staff was super friendly and attentive. We were in and out in less than 15 minutes. I am actually looking forward to my next smog test and no one ever says that.

Absolutely a great place to go when you need your car or truck smogged! I called and made appt with Edith, who was extremely nice and had awesome customer service! Then, when I got there 5 mins early, Shelby came out and greeted me, and said, «You must be my 9 o’clock.» Then proceeded to have me sign a cpl forms, and I was outta there less than 10 mins later with a «Pass»
Also, I forgot a coupon at home that I had ready for my appt and Shelby still honored the price! Highly recommend this business to all my Family & Friends! Thanks Poway Smog!

This is the best and friendliest place I’ve been! Edith is the sweetest person! She greets you outside when you pull up. I went on my lunch hour and I was in and out in 10 minutes. I recommend this place to anyone

I called ahead and asked if I had to make an appointment. They lady on the phone said it would be good to but they could take me right now since there was no wait. When I got there I expected to wait at least 20 – 30 mins. I ever brought my iPad to check email etc. It was super fast service. I was in and out in less than 5 mins. Thank you!

I’ve been going here for years and I own three vehicles. I’ve never had a problem. The staff is super nice and friendly. I appreciate the advice and info. They also offer a AAA discount. I’ve always been in and out fairly quickly. I’m super surprised that this place has had a few grumpy reviewers. My cars have had various smog issues, but I’ve resolved them BEFORE taking it in to get smogged. If you have a check engine light, take it to the mechanic or buy or borrow the reader from an auto parts store. Whenever I had work done on my vehicle, I’ve told the people doing the smog test so they can make sure it is ready to test. I’ve never had any concerns that I didn’t get what I expected.

Wow what service! So helpful, professional and nice!!! What a great business with perfect phone info and prompt service. Definitely the ONLY place to go for smog certificate. Told me it would take 6 minutes and it was completed in under 5 minutes!!! Awesome!

Dare I say Edith is sweeter than my mother? Dare I? It’s real close here. She’s sweet because that’s who she is, not because she wants something from you. How can you not stop and appreciate that? As usual, I was in and out in around 20mins, and she did all the DMV sorting out stuff. She even offered to rescue me if I ever got in trouble down in Mexico. Now THATs Service!

I’ve been going to poway smog for a couple of years now and the customer service is great. They always get me in and out fast with both of my cars. The lady at the desk is friendly and always makes me feel comfortable, they are on top of there game and have me smogged in no time.

Allow me to relay a story of today’s experience with Edith from Poway Smog. With my Pennysaver coupon for Poway Accurate Automotive (PAA), which gave me a discounted price of $ 30, I proceeded to search for PAA, but because it had been a little time since my last visit, I had forgotten where they were located. Thinking I had found the place, I parked in front of a smog place, but there was no PAA signage. As I parked, a lady, who I found out was named Edith, came out the door and motioned me into an open bay of the business. I asked Edith if her business was Poway Accurate Automotive and she replied it wasn’t. Edith stated, «We take business from them all the time.» I asked Edith if she honors competitor’s coupons to which she said «No», but that she would give me a good price. She even said that PAA doesn’t really charge $ 30 and I replied that I’ve used this same coupon with PAA in the past. She told me that she charges $ 48, so I said «No thanks» and quickly exited her business to find PAA. I have zero tolerance for people with no integrity and you should too.
PAA is one driveway before Poway Smog and they are located next to a U-​Haul business. PAA’s tagline is «We are honest, have integrity and will do only necessary repairs.» Talk to Bryan or his father, who are respectful and seem like good guys. I personally can attest that these guys have strong integrity. Edith from Poway Smog, shame on you for bad mouthing an honest business trying to make an honest buck. Unilocalers who have to renew their car registration by having to do a smog check, a business that employs people with no integrity should make you reluctant to spend your hard earned money. For a fast, professional, and most of all, high integrity business, Poway Accurate Automotive should be your automotive needs destination.
