Finally! We have needed a quality bubble tea spot. I love that there are games and little knick-knacks to buy as well. Favorite place to go for a little pick me up.

Since I can’t go to Seattle to get Oasis or Gossip, this is the best so far in Pullman. I honestly wouldn’t buy bubble tea at restaurants anymore who do serve it because it’s not as good as Popo. Plus it’s a cute kick it spot too.

I love their drinks and their staff member. But it’s a little frustrated every time I order hot drinks, it’s never full almost like 2⁄3 of the cup. Please let your staff know and make the cup full

Mango cakes are good. The drinks(milk drink at least) are what you go there for. Prices are too high and appetizers aren’t great… don’t get the appetizers. GETTHEREDBEANMILKTEA.

Pretty good bubble tea, which is nice since there isn’t a bubble tea place around here. Their potstickers are pretty good too. I think they deliver too which is nice, but I wish it was open later.

I ordered the honeydew slush with boba and was slightly disappointed because it was bright green! This means their drinks are probably prepared using flavored powder instead of fresh fruit. It just didn’t taste the way I thought it would. I’m probably being a bit biased because boba drinks from California are prepared differently though. Nonetheless, it was still pretty good and the prices were reasonable too. The Mango Pancake is much smaller than the one advertised, but it was yummy. Overall, I’d definitely come here again because Popo is a cute little place to hang out. Plus, I would like to try the other boba flavors to(maybe) find a flavor I love.

I was very excited to see that a boba shop was opening in Pullman. Being from California, there are Taiwanese Boba shops everywhere so there was a void in my stomach until POPO opened up! The first time I came in I ordered a Jasmine Milk Tea with boba and popcorn chicken. It was delicious! The popcorn chicken is seasoned with Chinese 5 spice and it really hit the spot. The fried rice was a good! But I wish the onions were caramelized and cooked down rather than biting into chunks of onion. As to Sarah D’s review, Milk Tea is generally sweetened tea, milk, ice and then the additions like boba and jelly! And a slush is a same beverage but blended into a smooth concoction with the drink additions on the bottom. I really don’t understand what you were trying get at when you ordered a Strawberry Milk Tea. If you google it, you can literally see the drink you described and then you wanted it blended… You got it blended and still were confused as to what you ordered. As food service workers cannot read your mind, it is critical for you, the customer, to ask questions so the employees can help you in any way they can to ensure you have a positive experience. They tried to help you but you refused so I really cannot comprehend your frustrations. But maybe I’m biased because I have worked in retail sales and food service. But anyways, I’m excited to see POPO grow and incorporate itself in Pullman.

Good bubble tea and friendly staff. A good addition to Pullman. Looking forward to going back. I haven’t tried their food, but bubble tea was good. They have many options to add to the drinks besides the tapioca balls. The mango balls are really good.

With Asian cuisine options being limited in Pullman, we decided to give Popo a shot. Please note this review is for their entrees and not their bubble tea, however. We ordered the beef fried rice and the beef yakisoba. Both dishes had their share of problems: Beef fried rice: 1) The fried rice was evidently too wet to be stir fried properly. The result was very broken grains and a mushy texture. 2) The MSG was overwhelming. Keep in mind we’re accustomed to MSG given our experience with Asian restaurants. This rice went way beyond decent levels.(And no, it wasn’t just sodium… it was meaty flavoring that didn’t belong.) 3) The beef was excruciatingly tough to chew. Perhaps the cut of beef was poor, but the way it was sliced didn’t help either. Finer slices would go a long way here. 4) Where were the fresh ingredients? The veggies consisted of peas, carrots, corn, and onions. This is fine except the carrots had the distinct freezer burn taste from having sat around too long. At least toss in some green onions to cover up unattractive flavors(rather than add more MSG) and to enhance authenticity. Beef yakisoba: 1) Sugar, sugar everywhere! There might’ve been MSG in this dish but we couldn’t tell with how sweet the sauce was. We had to take a bite of white rice for each bite of noodle to thin out the sugar content. I guess this would be good for people who want to carbo-load before a marathon? 2) Minor gripe: A little too much sauce. Noodles were quite wet so it lost the stir fry texture and exaggerated the sweetness of the dish. Overall, I would’ve given the food just 1 star but I added one more for customer service. Water was served promptly and we were given more rice when I explained about the sweetness problem of the yakisoba. I understand this is primarily a drink and fast food establishment, but if you’re trying to expand to entrees, there’s a LOT of work to be done.

We were visiting Pullman from Portland, so we are used to good bubble tea. Pleasantly surprised to find this bubble tea place in this quiet college town without much choices. Popo is pretty good spot to study and their drinks are very comparable to other bubble tea shops in Seattle/Portland area. Love their different varieties of jellies/boba you can choose from. Get their popcorn chicken snack because it’s awesomely delicious. Taking one star away because there were at least 5 people behind the counter, yet there was only one staff that helped take our order and made our drinks. This resulted in an almost 10 mins wait with an empty store on a Saturday afternoon.

Yummy taro milk tea with coconut lychee. Coffee milk tea with boba is delicious as well. Pot stickers… too tasty! Open til 10pm. This is my new favorite late night snacking spot. Cute atmosphere inside and friendly workers.

Got drinks here today and really enjoyed it! My husband got a strawberry smoothie(aka milky slush) and I got a honeydew slush. They were both delicious and the café had a fun atmosphere. I will definitely be going back a lot.

Came here twice now and both visits were great! The first time was great, the only thing that could of made the experience better is if the ac wasnt broke(fixed now). Second time I went with my gf, got the taro smoothie and she got the rose petal. My taro wasn’t as sweet as I’m used to and asked if I could replace it with a milk tea. They were more than happy to replace my drink. We also found out they use real petals and real taro root. Great plus! Great tea, great environment and great customer service! This place will definitely be a regular hang out spot for my group of friends once school starts.

I’ll preface this by saying that I know they’re a new place, but in customer service, especially in the hospitality industry in a small town, first impressions are everything. I LOVE bubble tea so I was really excited to try this place. I walked in and stood at the counter for almost 5 minutes while the«employees» stood around and talked, a few even glanced my way but no one came to help. This was strike one. They had food and so I decided to try the potstickers with my drink, but they were out. That to me is poor planning on their part since it was like noon and they’ve just opened so they should be fully stocked. Strike two. Now, for the whole reason I came, bubble tea. I’ve been to quite a few and the process is pretty much the same at all of them so I figured this place was too. I ordered a strawberry milk tea one with boba balls. It was literally ice, milk, and the balls. So I said isn’t this supposed to be blended, the guy apologized and said they’d make a new one. Get the new one and it’s just a slush with the balls and again, I said it’s supposed to be the milk tea blended and pretty much refused to make the product I paid for so I said whatever and walked out. Strike three.

This bubble tea place just opened! They are currently having a special: buy one drink, get the second half off. They are located next to the WSECU that’s across of Safeway. They have a variety of milk teas, slushies, desserts, appetizers, and entrees. I got the matcha milk tea with boba and red bean. It was actually pretty good/better than what I was expecting for Pullman(which tends to disappoint me in the ethnic foods area). The boba had a good texture and tasted fresh. They only have one drink size but it’s a good size. My boyfriend ordered the strawberry slush and loved it. We shared an order of potstickers with potsticker sauce and chicken fried rice. We received a sample of the hot sauce to go with our fried rice and while we were waiting in line, we were also offered samples of the egg roll. Everything was pretty good! Everything tasted fresh and homemade. I particularly love that the sauces are homemade. I was expecting the hot sauce to be just sriracha but it tastes really unique(I think it has some plum sauce mixed in?). The fried rice on its own was okay but we added in the hot sauce and it tasted really good! We added in the leftover potsticker sauce we had too and it tasted even better! They charge you a little extra for the sauces but at least you know that they’re unique and homemade and not just out of a bottle. The fried rice and potstickers can easily be shared between two people. Our food came in paper to-go boxes. I hope that one day they can have actual plates/silverware/cups for dine-in options to be more eco-friendly. I think it would make it a little more date-friendly that way too. It’s still a cute place to hang out with friends or your significant other though!(Edit 07⁄26: they have dine-in baskets for food now) There was only one machine(blender?) working when we were there which caused a little bit of a wait/back up but the service was great besides that. The manager(?) was very personable and made sure everything was running as smoothly as possible. The AC was down and it happened to be a really hot day(95 degrees) but they said it should be fixed soon. Either way, it’s still better than standing directly out in the hot sun and it kinda makes your cold drink taste better haha!(Edit 07⁄26: they have AC now) Once the AC and the machine issues get fixed, I’m sure coming here will be an even greater experience. I enjoyed it overall. I feel like this business will continue to grow and do well in Pullman! Don’t forget to ask for a stamp card!(:
