We recently had our first pool built and, after meeting with several companies, chose to work with Premier Pools. Our consultant, Obie Miller, worked patiently with us to design a pool that met our expectations and stayed within a modest budget. The construction of the pool was completed in a timely manner and we received plenty of communication each step of the way. The finished product has left us with no regrets. Our pool is a feature that our family will enjoy for years to come.
Throughout the process we have recommended Premier Pools to our friends and they are having an equally positive experience. I would recommend Premier Pools for any project, big or small. They work hard to make sure you’re satisfied with the end result.

I had a pool installed by premier. the sales force was informative and helpful great design. the installation was less than promised. the hole was dug in a timely fashion and weather delayed further progress. once the work started gunite was done well. then the problems started. The wrong tile was put on water line and had to be removed delaying the deck pour. communication with office staff was hard to achieve. finally the color on bottom of pool is streaked. Premier rep said they can fix but we have had no contact from then in two or three weeks. We will live with the streaked bottom rather than deal with the possibility of further frustration

Premier came out for an initial consult on a new pool. During that visit, when I told them everything I wanted, they told me it would cost about $ 40,000. When I asked for it in writing, the price went up to $ 52,000, which was way higher than other quotes I had obtained. When I asked if they would beat or match the other quotes, they said no. I can’t comment on the quality of their pool construction, but a verbal quote that increases by 30% seems very unreasonable.

Premier did an excellent job building us the pool and spa of our dreams. From the initial appointment all the way to the final inspection, Premier was on top of it. Our pool was completed in 5 weeks, at a price that was very reasonable compared to several other quotes we got. I also felt like we got more for our money by going with Premier. We got the high end finishes and options that we wanted, without having to sacrifice anything. Everyone we interacted with was professional, respectful, and responsive. Anytime I had a question or request, it was quickly answered and taken care of. Premier is a master in this business, they’ve got the entire process down perfectly. They walked us through every step, letting us know what to expect. We would highly recommend them to anyone interested in building a pool. They stand by their work and take care of any issues that come up without hesitation. We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Premier.

I called Premier Pools believing they were a company highly known for quality pool construction with top customer service. On the contrary, Ryan from Premier Pools arrived to our home approximately 10 min late. Gave him our ideas and we never received his design and/​or cost break down within the time frames he promised the last 3 times. Poor communication on his part. Didn’t make us feel as a priority, although this was to be a $ 40k swimming pool. I voiced my concerns in which he responded via text, «Ok-​good luck to you then.» At this point, we were done with Ryan and his «family owned and operated pool company!!!»
But, he ends up sending me his sketch anyway but with no pool measurements or cost breakdown. Just a sketch. Sad to say, he gave us the same exact design my wife’s boss got from him too. Neither of us went with Premier Pools. Horrible service and bad reflection on your company.

After waiting for 4 – 5 months due to «cold weather» the company finally repaired the concrete. The job was well done. I just didn’t like the LONG wait!

Pool completed and running. Excellent work. Two issues. Leaking waterfall. Immediately fixed. Have a hollow spot on deck area. Apparently not an issue. The Pool school run by Professor Paul was probably the best completion of pool. The entire process was no nonsense an straight work. One thing should be noted. Expected delays an longer build times. Figure it this way. You could be in a worse situation than waiting for a pool to be built. In the end you will really appreciate the work they do.

We had premier pools do a pool remodel for us five years ago… it was a horrific experience with shotty work, complete disrespect of our home and landscaping and five months of being on the back burner because they were busy… I had forgotten about this experience until I got a call today from the person who bought the home From us which premier pools had done this work too — evidently the plaster is falling off and the hot tub is leaking into the pool and they called premier who won’t bather calling the back — – friends don’t let friend use this company… they are the worst. Since they did our work we had a pool built for us by Jim courage pools, it’s beautiful four years old and no issues and an entire pool was built in 2 months… premier took nearly six months to complete our project and in five years they still have terrible customer service. I feel back for the people who bought our house !!! Don’t use premier 1 if you sell the house your gonna get calls from the people who bought it and it’s falling a part ! If you don’t sell your house you may have to live with the terrible product and bad customer service !
But hey — the salesman was excellent and responsive and nice until we singed the contract and paid the deposit… Then he vanished.

My husband dug pools for 12 years so he understands how this process works and we know things happen during time of construction. We had many qoutes and knew about the issues that came with premier pools but decided to go with them due to the competitave price. We never thought we would have such a horrable expriance.
To say the least, we have a very very basic pool…
*it took them 3.5 months to build… and its still not complete because of issues they missed
* Doug (suporvisor never new what was going on) or could keep track of the next step. Blamed us home owners for issus that arised
*Julie in scheduling is extremly rude and blamed my decking guy for a problem they missed!
* it took them 2 weeks to dig a 2 foot area 2″ deeper to be at code (they should have known for as many pools they build in roseville)
* they called for preplaster inspection with out having the gate properly done (plus it was cheaply done and broke the first time it self closed)
* never returned calls
* never showed during appointments
* ordered pool cover 7/​18, called today (⁹⁄₁₇ and said well have to order one when it was ordered 2 months ago)
* they didnt ground my metal down spout and now we have to rip the decking up because of something they missed on the plans!
* they plastered and awround the lights looks like they patched it. and now we have a huge dark ring around the lights
All toghether this company is disrespectful, not customer orientated, and would rather have your money than fix the miss haps they have made. A good word of advise is put everything on contract and push for your last payment to be when last inspction is completed and passed! it says last payment due at preplaster but make them change it or it will be hell to get them back out if something is wrong.
Stay Away… Dont get sold on their low prices… not worth the hassle!

We had our pool done by Premier Pools.
I am very disappointed with the surface installers lack of skill.
The pebble sheen installers cemented over a water return line, which if I had not taken pictures as the project went along would have gone unnoticed.
I called Premier as soon as I realized it, and they sent the Foreman back to fix it.
To make a long excruciatingly frustrating story short, after four repair attempts and draining the pool once to fix it, it is still an obvious ugly eyesore.
I really doubt their ability to repair it and they keep trying to send out someone to look at it and try to fix it.
The installers also used a blow torch to «heat» the trim tile which they burned the plastic strip below the cantilever and scorched a part of the cantilever.
I’m very disappointed and am trying to get compensated for these issues.
My recommendation if for some reason you are going to use them is to withhold your last payment until the pool is «totally» complete and filled with water.

Used the company to replaster my pool as I thought that I would get what I paid (they are the most expensive out of the 4 quotes I got) — Having a bigger installation base, thought that they should know what they are doing. Boy, I was totally wrong. Better to go to other pool companies — for less expense, better installation experience, and better pool! The bigger showroom just mean that the sales only care about making the deal, and the installation guy would not care after the pool is in place. Definitely won’t use them again

We had our pool finished last October, had a New Years pool party and have been enjoying it every night this summer. The best investment we have ever made. We had no problems during the build, always had our contact on speed dial for any issue and our issues resolved asap. I would recommend premier pools to anyone wanting a beautiful pool, backyard and a place to make family memories. Thanks to Kory and the Premier Pool family.

Gotta say… I ignored negative posts about these guys and shouldn’t have. So far I am completely aware hiccups happen and there will be delays with projects. BUT! When all you do is build pools you’d think you would have the permits figured out. I have failed 2 consecutive inspections because these guys can’t properly complete a permit it display it properly. I’ve learned more than a client should need to know about the permit process working with premier and my city inspector. Without going into detail… These fools removed the permit from my property for over a week! I found out the hard way that’s illegal. It seems Premier thinks their above the law, fed me excuse after excuse… So far we’re not off to a good start, I’ll update this as we go. Hopefully positively.
1^st Update: We passed on our 3^rd inspection for pre gunite. Decided 1 star per inspection was fair since the work they have done so far looks good. I’ll keep updating as we go.
2^nd Update: The concrete sub contractor has installed the preform for the decking. He said they were told we were on a fast track. The preform was installed on Friday, he said concrete would be poured next Friday. If this inspection goes good we’ll have concrete by Friday. Still a little behind but they did make good progress trying to catch up.
3^rd Update: We’re pretty much back on schedule, all decking is poured, equipment is installed and clean up crew took a little longer than I think they even thought it would due to a larger than normal mess (hard to access yard). Tomorrow is pre plaster inspection, crossing my fingers. Personally dealing with these inspectors might be the worst part. Other than that, there’s been some lack of communication as to what’s going on where the main office called me to see how clean up was going and I had to have them contact the foreman because I have no idea what they’re doing. They defiantly need better communication.
3^rd update, update. I was out of town for the clean up portion. When I returned last night, I found a very poorly installed front gate and damage to the decking around the pool. The gate is installed in concrete, during the dig they wanted to cut the post for more room. They had to remove concrete and install a new post. The new post they used is too thin and wobbly as hell. Defiantly not gonna last very long. The decking looks like they scraped shovels across it. I will be trying to contact the foreman about these issues when they open but I shouldn’t have to. These things shouldn’t be happening in the first place.
When the main office set up the inspection for today, she said it’s between 7 & 4 but I could call the inspectors office before 7 and get a smaller window hopefully. First, she gave me their fax number, second, the city office doesn’t open until 8.
4^th update, The pool looks great, but was completed about two weeks or so late depending on what your interpretation of the completion date is. Contract said the pool completion date would be July 10^th. Today is Aug 11, we had our pool school today but have been able to use it for about a week +. I don’t know what date they use as their final date but no matter what, they busted it. We are still waiting our final inspection from the city. We are also trying to get premier to fix a gate they removed then replaced with the cheapest material they could find. It took me opening the gate 2 times before it was unusable because of crappy hardware. We are also waiting on them to fix poor plumbing that is visually bad. Pipes are leaking because they were cut to the wrong size. They are obviously fitting together at strange angles. We are also waiting on them to grind concrete for the skimmer basket to be able to be removed properly. A previous issue, I decided to fix the self closing gate myself after they couldn’t figure it out. I am also looking into our pump… I requested a variable speed pump, the sales guy said they only use variable speed pumps, the pool school guy said this in defiantly not a variable speed pump. The info they gave me with my contract was for a variable speed pump but apparently that’s not what I got. The contract is very vague and doesn’t break down into specifics on the pump, only the brand name But the information provided in the binder is very specific and not what I got. Pay attention to your contract, we’ll see where this goes when I call them tomorrow.
I should be done with updates by this time in the process but I’m not.

For the first month I was impressed with Premier pools, they were punctual and on time. The pool was being built quickly and I thought it may even be finished on-​time or even a week early. Seeing as how the pool was progressing smoothly I recommended a few friends to use this company for their pools which they did. I am now quickly regretting as after the concrete deck poor and third installment of $ 22,000 this company was nowhere to be found.
Extra costs Premier fails to warn you about:
During the install, you sign a waiver stating they are not responsible if items are damaged. I thought they would use great care, instead they dropped 100 – 300 pound boulders out of a dump truck onto the concrete (didn’t even bother to lay down plywood) cracking three slabs of concrete in my front yard. (No bid on this yet)
Seeing my front lawn was dying I had a landscaper come over to check things out. Upon inspection I was informed the graders took no care and failed to lay down plywood over the water valve box. As a result they smashed my water box and sent it deeper into the ground crushing my front yard valves and inhibiting my front yard sprinklers from functioning. As the landscaper inspected further he also notified me the water main had also been damage as they turned the valve off with vice grips instead of using a tool that was needed. The landscaper went onto state my neighbor up the street suffered the same consequence a few weeks prior when Premier did his pool install. I then got the bill form the landscaper. An extra $ 1000 out of pocket to fix.
As I returned home on yet another day, I found the existing bark and drainage system to be covered with piles of dirt. I then received a letter from the EID inspector stating my current drainage system was nowhere to be found during the inspection and as a result, I now would need to submit new plans for drainage and have the drainage pipes open for and EID inspector prior to being covered. So on top of not now being able to utilize my bark, I now have to dig up my existing drainage and submit new plans to EID and schedule an inspection. (Landscaper quote $ 3000)
While at home I saw the workers jumping my rod iron fence leading to the wildlife area behind my house to urinate and during this they used my snake fence as a ladder and ripped several sections of it. There is no way to repair this other than to replace the entire section that runs $ 5.00 a foot and a lot of digging and strap material.
Upon installment of my front fences, it looks like a five year old installed it. It appears they used a full box of deck screws and no leveler as it is off 3 to four inches in several sections.
In the entire month of June Premier has been out at to my house 5 days total and not one of those days were a full day’s work. During those 5 days not one thing was completed correctly. At this time my pool is past its completion due date per the contract deadline and not one thing; concrete, wall or pool is completed.
I have contacted the company regarding their disappearance since receiving their last big installment payment and all I get is excuse after excuse and no straight or real answer.
Scheduling has been horrendous with no set times or dates other than a call when they need you their within the hour or have an excuse as to why a no show occurred.
After talking with others utilizing this company, they seem to be having the exact same problems and their pools are getting finished two to three weeks later than stated in the contract.
This company definitely has the potential to be a five star company, but they need to hold off from accepting any new contracts. The owner needs to take a step back and realize if they continue to work in this manner, their reputation as one of the better pool companies in the area is going to be tarnished.
If it weren’t for their foreman, I would definitely have blown my lid further. He has been the only stable bit of reassurance I have received from this company. This individual is one great asset to have as an employee. (Give this guy a raise.)
As of right now I will no longer be referring this company to any of my friends or co-​workers as my experience with them has been below standard. My neighbors who have been inquiring and watching the progression have also taken notice to the lack of work being performed and are now seeking out other installers.
In short my pool has been sitting stagnant for the last month. There is absolutely no reason as to why it should not have been finished on time other than this particular company has more projects going than it can actually handle.
I truly hope this company will rectify themselves so I can at least leave a 3 or 4 star rating and be comfortable referring them to others looking to have a pool installed.

In my experience, nobody builds a better pool or treats the home owner with more professionalism and integrity than Premier Pools & Spas.

It would be 5 star except for a few of the people’s attitudes. a few act as though you are bothering them… Tim came over today and showed us the functionality of everything. what a great guy!!! Extremely friendly and patient. its a little confusing, I was repetitive in my questions to him, he just smiled and gave me answers. Very knowledgeable.I wish all the employees at Premier were as nice as Tim. Thx much Tim!!!
I want to mention one more employee, Steve. he’s the mechanic/​electrician… Another super friendly person. during the whole installation process, he was always available, quick to return calls. Got a little irritated a few times. Steve would stop by and put my mind at ease. Great Guy!!! Thx Steve!!!
Quality construction, everything spelled out… Be prepared to fix (or pay someone) any landscaping that is destroyed. they don’t do it. and you will initial a document saying so.

If you are looking for a company who is fast and efficient, communicates with each other, go somewhere else. I would not recommend Premier to anyone.
They sell the fact that they have been in business for a long time so that makes them a great company. They know what they are doing and will get it done. They tell you «we have are own crews, thats what makes us so efficient.» Many crews came into my backyard that did not work for Premier. Efficiency most definitely did not happen.
The workers speak about how much they dislike management, and how other clients are complaining. But they need a job.
They do call when money is due, and will not continue until you pay, now i know why. The last check is given when they come to plaster, not when they finish, which means you have not had a chance to look things over. If you have a compliant, they already have all the money. So if you do have a complaint good luck. You find this out after they have cashed your check.
If I could go back, I would not choose premier pools.

We had a great experience with Première. Initially, we were not happy with our salesperson and decided to go with a different, much more expensive company in Roseville.
The owner of Premier called us back to discuss the situation and we set up another appointment with them. The second meeting went much better and we ultimately signed with Premier which saved us over 17K dollars (direct comparison). After all, its just a hole in the ground right? :D
There are advantages and disadvantages to everything. However, the pros of using a big company mean they can (and did) absorb costs where a smaller company can’t.
Everyone we came in contact during construction was respectful and helpful.
They did a great job and continue to provide us with outstanding service over 2 years later. Not that we’ve had many problems (equipment/​not their fault) but depending on the issue we’ve had to wait a week for an appointment. Not a big deal.
We chose to have a separate company do the landscaping simply because we had already been working with one when we decided on a pool.
Premier builds thousands of pools so don’t let a few negatives on Unilocal stress you out. We are super thrilled with our experience.

We are re-​plastering our existing pool, and as I write this, my pool is empty, I got open trenches all over my yard, unopened boxes of equipment on my patio, wires in my lawn and nobody has been here for a week and a half. They claim that they need to order pipes but that should have been done before the work started (because nobody measured). Our concrete patches are not matching, and that should not happen — the rep should have taken pictures to ensure that the concrete would match. Now they have to remove it… but when?
The first week went great and then nothing. They keep telling us that the crew will be back tomorrow, but that never happens. We do not know what is going on, nobody gives us any update, our calls are left unanswered, and we are very frustrated. Nothing has moved for over 11 days now. VERY disappointing.

Only getting better!!! Most seamless project and incredible design expertise we have encountered! We own a few other properties and have made chic to fab, however Premier and our designer Mike was a top top experience!!! We couldn’t be happier.
