I came in the other day to pick up a «thank you» pizza for a friend and ended up having a really great experience, Initially I had tried to call it in on my drive over, but was placed on a long hold. He did pick up the phone again after a few minutes to tell me he was sorry and placed me back on hold. I HATE sitting on hold, so I ended up just hanging up since I was just down the street at this point. i was still in a good mood when I walked in and I wasn’t in a rush to be anywhere, so not getting my pizza going before I got there really wasn’t a big deal. As soon as I said that I wanted to place an order for carry out the man asked me if I was the person he had put on hold. When I told him yes he profusely apologized to me and explained that the woman he was speaking to on the phone before me had a huge order and was a bit long-winded. We laughed and I assured him that it was no problem. He offered me a coupon anyway for my understanding. It actually all worked out for the better because I was able to enjoy a beer on top and make a few phone calls while I waited for the pizza. This man was obviously a very hard worker. He threw my pizza in right away and then came out to the dining room and ran around like a madman trying to get it tidied up while he had a few free moments, all while addressing patrons by their first names and apologizing to me one more time. I did snag a slice of my friend’s pizza when I arrived at her house and it was really great. They have my future business.

Their pizza is delicious! Great crust not skimpy on the toppings. Fast delivery service. Nice lunch buffet, with salad bar. Rick the owner is super nice guy! Highly recommend

I went to this pizza place about 3 to 4 years ago and the owner Rick decided to kick me out of his restaurant for no reason. I asked him why I was kicked out and he said I don’t want to talk about it. So I asked him again kindly if he could please explain why I wasn’t allowed in there anymore and he said end of subject. I really love their pizza at this place but he has lost a customer and many more customers because everyone I’ve talked to said they will never go there again either. I have never been 86 out of a restaurant or anywhere ever in my life and this really bothers me that he kicks me out and will not explain why. I just want to let people know that Rick may kick you out for no reason and not explain why. Try to avoid this place at all cost.

Favorite pizza place in Redding. If you like pizza with thick crust this is your place. Lots of great specialty pizzas like the chicken gourmet that has a yummy garlic white sauce. They offer great coupons online like buy one large speciality get a medium one tiling free! For lunch they have all you can eat pizza and salad bar which offers a good selection of different pizzas. My family has been coming here for the last 5 years and are never disappointed in the quality or friendly service. We have even reserved one side of the restaurant for fantasy football drafts and parties. Good selection of beer on tap including Lost Coast and Sierra Nevada.

One of my favorite places to eat in Redding. The owners are super nice, the pizza is soo good and cheap! They even have $ 2 slices and you get to choose whatever two toppings you want.

We love Market Street Pizza! One of the best pizza places in town. Very friendly and they always have great coupons. They have great beer on tap and a full salad bar. We order a pizza from this place at least once a month.

It’s amazing how difficult it is to find a pizza place that offers calzones — after all, it’s basically just a pizza folded in half and baked, right? Anyhow we finally found where to go for calzones in the western region of Redding! Market St. Pizza does a fantastic job with their calzones with their nice, thick crust. So go for their calzones and pizzas! Their buffets are also a great deal. However, there’s room for improvement with the pasta as there needs to be more sauce added for it not to be so dry.

Just had dinner with my daughter and they have some of the best pizza in town. The sourdough crust is delicious and had a nice crisp to it, not soggy like other pizza places. The customer service was excellent, we called our order in and they were super nice. If you go to their website they have great coupons that make it a great deal. If you like good pizza at a good price, this is the place! Salad bar looked nice too, but didn’t try it this visit.

Thank you Market Street Pizza for your attention to customer service and quality pizza. Your effort is a great example of exactly how a business should be run.

Poor customer service. When they make a mistake on a pizza they refuse to make it right.

I give this place 5 stars because of the men who run it. They have been running this place daily since I moved to the area in 2007. As a Caltrans employee who works in the field, I go here for lunch whenever I can. The buffet will always have a curveball pizza like chicken tomato and bacon to stay different. Plus a salad bar with all I want in it. And they remember your name. Skip corporate pizza and support these local gentlemen who weathered the economic downturn. I know I will.

We found this neat little place for lunch and did the all you can eat pizza lunch buffet, that included your drink and salad bar. Everything was delicious; salad bar fresh(blue cheese dressing was incredible), pizza brought out promptly and the cashier(possibly the owner) was so incredibly friendly. It was also a great deal, compared to other area pizza lunch buffets. We will return.

Our new family favorite! Delivery faster than estimated, loved the two free ranches. You want to save the ranch for the crust, it’s the best crust end in the area!

Good pizza! But takeout service is terrible called an order and took 2 hours to get the pizza-no discount or apology! Not to mention I only live 5 mins from the place so I offered to come get it after an hour of it not being ready… their excuse was they were buzy? I’m sorry but I only ordered one pizza… NEVERAGAIN

This used to be my favorite pizza in Redding. That started to change on 7÷19÷13 and fully changed on 7÷27÷13. After a long day of sitting in a seminar we didn’t feel like cooking. I called to order a pizza for delivery and was told it was too late but that I could pick it up. I did. By the time I got it home and we were all grabbing slices we realized that the pizza was not fully cooked. Plus it had hardly any sauce or meat topping and little cheese but it was smothered in raw mushrooms(yuck). I called but they would not answer the phone as it was too near closing. The next day I called and spoke to one of the owners and explained the problem. He said«no problem, I apologize and your next pizza is free. Great, that worked. So, on Saturday my family and I had spent the day up at Mt. Lassen Park and when we were on our way home we decided to have dinner at Market St Pizza. We called some friends and they said they would meet us there. I walked in and was explaining the free pizza to the girl at the register(she is a friend of my son) when the owner came out of the kitchen like a pit bull with an attitude. He said I’m not giving you a free pizza. It must have been my partner and I don’t know anything about it. I tried to explain the situation and that we had more people coming and that this was not just for a free pizza. Our group was going to order several pizzas, salads, beer and soda. He wouldn’t listen so I asked him«is this worth losing a long time customer over?» He said he didn’t care so we left and called our friends as they had not arrived yet. My wife called later that evening to try to straighten this out and he was very rude to her and called her a certain derogatory name. On Monday I called to talk to Tony, the other partner, and he told me that they would never give a free pizza away(basically calling me a liar), that my wife was rude and dismissed my complaint about the previous pizza finally saying«half off, take it or leave it». I explained to him that he had just lost a good customer forever and he hung up the phone on me. How can they expect to stay in business by treating anyone so poorly and not honoring their word? Redding is too small of a town for that.

I have eaten here a few times and have never been disappointed in the quality of their pizza. The crust is a little thicker than what I usually prefer but it is good with a little crunch. The flavor of their sauce and toppings are pretty good though. It is a pizza that I would eat again but it doesn’t compare with some of my favorites. If I could give this place a 3.5 star rating I would. I think its better than a 3 star but not deserving of a 4. A friend and I recently stopped by for the all you can eat dinner buffet and was the first time I’ve been disappointed here. They only bring out 2 small-medium size pizzas at a time. There was about 8 people eating the buffet when I was there and they couldn’t keep up with the demand. There was always a wait for pizza and when they brought out a fresh one it was a mad dash and sometimes there wasn’t enough. There was a lot of waiting for a pizza and the table we sat at was dirty. This also played into my 3 star rating.

I drive by this place at least 3 times a week and finally stopped. Ok, I got a flat tire last week and pulled into the parking lot to wait for road service, so I kind of felt like I needed to. Anyway, the service was friendly, the pizza loaded with toppings, and the price was right. Very tasty.

Situation: I looked on Unilocal to find reviews of this pizza restaurant that I drove past every once in a while– thought I was reading the reviews of Mkt. St. Pizza, so I go in there convinced(by Unilocal reviews) that I need the Elvis special. So I embarrass myself by asking for it which of course was a different place’s specialty. I received a good impression of Elvis by the owner btw. Met the owner Rick, who was really personable. Took the pizza home, we ordered the Chicken Supreme and it was REALLYREALLY good. All in all, my confusion aside, I recommend this pizza joint!!!
