We had Dewey rekey our locks for our new home. He was very fast and efficient. Dewey also went out of his way to provide us additional keys and even made some keys with a stronger grip for my parents. I can’t thank this guy enough.

I had Dewey out last week (after my petsitter turned out to be completely irresponsible and HORRIBLE) to change all the deadbolts in my house. I bought new locks at the hardware store and had him change them all out. He did a GREAT job! He was very thorough, friendly, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. He made sure that ever door in my house was in tip-​top shape before he left … I highly recommend Dewey for all your locksmith needs :)

I called around to a couple of locksmiths to get my home re-​keyed, and Dewey had the best rate. My partner met him for the appointment and said Dewey was very professional and friendly. He was on time for the appointment and was very thorough. He also fixed locks were sticking/​not closing properly. I would recommend him to everyone.

Dewey is professional and really saved me a lot of money and time! I accidentally locked myself out of my bedroom a couple hours before work, and I called him exactly at 7:30. He arrived within 15 minutes, and was able to unlock my door in 10 minutes. He has great prices, takes prides in his work and is very friendly. I would highly recommend Dewey if your in the Sacramento area and in need of service ASAP (especially if you have a difficult lock that cant easily be opened with an old school method such as a bobby pin, credit card, knife, etc.)

Dewey came out and installed 5 new locking door handles in our Rocklin office today. I can’t say enough good things about his professionalism and timeliness. Dewey will be our go to locksmith from now on!

I called Dewey on a Saturday to have locks re-​keyed for a new tenant (yes, waited until the last minute). He was able to come a couple hrs later but we decided that Sunday was better for both of us. An hour before our appointment he called to say he could come early if it worked for me (on a Sunday, early not late — already a great first impression). It didn’t, so we stuck w the original time. He showed up a couple minutes early and was very professional and thoughtful. He let me know when a couple of the locks had issues or missing parts and which were still safe and which weren’t. He did a great job, was courteous and very reasonably priced (especially for a Sunday!). I will definitely be using his services in the future!

Was one of the few who called back, gave me a quote which was from $ 20 to $ 30 less than the other guys. On top of that came same day. Once Dewey arrived, he gave me other (better) options without up-​selling me for the same quoted price. I noticed he was very meticulous, he did a better job than expected. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic, professional service. We just bought a new rental and Dewey did a masterful job of rekeying the entire house. He spent hours carefully making sure everything was correct, gave us five new keys, and the price could not be beat.

Dewey is awesome! He was a little late, but he called me ahead of time to let me know and he showed up at the exact time he said he would! The price he tells you over the phone is the price it will cost you, no hidden charges and just good honest work! He also took the time to fix some sticky locks for me and made sure everything was smooth going before he left. We had a key break in a deadbolt lock. Dewey rebuilt the lock, advised us how to keep the lock lubricated so it doesn’t happen again, and made us additional keys at no additional charge. Very pleased and will call him anytime we need a
locksmith.

This man is a godsend.
It was a late afternoon on a Sunday, no less, and well over 100 degrees out even at 6pm.
My boyfriend said the words nobody ever wants to hear: «Babe, I can’t find the only key to our house.» The realtor lockbox taunted us, still attached to the front porch.
New house. One key. Sunday afternoon. Baking. Sweating.
Dewey to the rescue. He showed up in the sweltering heat on a Sunday, and proceeded to work magic — I thought he’d just do one door, but no, being the methodical professional he is, he re-​keyed four doors to our brand new home, and charged a very reasonable price.

So my 3 year old son decided it is super fun to try to lock and close doors. We had been able to unlock most of them until tonight when he locked and shut the door to our closet. Luckily he wasn’t locked inside or anything, but after tons of experimenting and lock picking videos we finally broke down and called this fantastic locksmith. For a meager $ 40 he came to our house, unlocked the door and fixed it so it wouldn’t lock any more. The icing on he cake? He taught my husband how to modify any lock in our house to keep it from locking!!! All this within an hour from the phone call. Love this guy!

Excellent service! Very professional and friendly. Carl was able to help me minimize the amount of keys I needed to open multiple locks and made some helpful recommendations. He also provided extra copies of the new key. I will definitely call Dewey’s Mobile Lock and Key again.

Very prompt and courteous service, and absolutely reasonable price. What more can you ask for from a locksmith? We were locked out of our home and Carl arrived within half an hour. It was more difficult for him to open our door than typical residential key. But he maintains his friendliness and positive attitude throughout the whole process. Based on his previous Unilocal reviews, i called Dewey’s Mobile locksmith service yesterday and made an appointment for today. He arrived in time and was very courteous. All in all, he rekeyed 6 locks/​deadbolts and 1 electronic Schlage keyless deadbolt. His price was great and he finished the job promptly. I will be using him from now on for all of my locksmith needs and will be recommending him to anyone in need of his service.

I was in need of a locksmith on a Saturday afternoon. The key to my front door didn’t work and I was locked out of my house. I asked a family member for a locksmith reference and I was referred to a company that charged $ 100+ just to dispatch a locksmith… So I turned to Unilocal!
Service
My first choice was Dewey’s Mobile Lock and Key. Dewey advertised cheapest rates in town and fast service. My call was picked up by Dewey (owner of company). Dewey was very pleasant over the phone. He was at my home within an hour. Dewey charged a flat rate of $ 50 for the visit with a GUARENTEE to get into the house. There would be an additional charge of $ 10 if I needed the lock re-​keyed.
Dewey was able to get into my house within a few minutes. He disassembled my dead bolt and discovered a piece broke off inside. Dewey fixed the lock and no re-​key was necessary. He was in and out in around 30 min.
Price
Charge for his service was $ 60. That’s waaay cheaper than the minimum charge from a different company. Dewey’s Mobile Lock and Key lived up to the cheapest rates in town.
Overall
I have added Dewey’s Mobile Lock and Key to my contacts in my phone. Dewey will be my first call if I ever need a locksmith. Fast service, great price, and really knows his stuff. I don’t give out many 5’s… But Dewey’s Mobile Lock and Key is very deserving of the highest rating.

I was in a bind, in Elk Grove, needing to get in a house and change a lock for a client in a hurry. Dewey came through for me in a big way, and charged a lower price than a few other quotes I got.
He was able to get to the house within an hour of my call, even despite rush hour traffic. Once there, he was able to gain access to the house very quickly, replace the lock and make three keys, all within approximately 20 minutes.
All told, it cost $ 70. Considering how extremely helpful he was, and quick with the service, this was a bargain. Dewey’s the man!
EDIT: Just looked at his business card. Apparently Dewey is his last name; first name is Carl. Whatever he calls himself, he’s the man!
