Derrell is THE MAN!!!
My story is that I had a Dell laptop that my mother gave me when I went off to college. It worked like a dream, day in and day out, for approximately 7 years.
Then one day I got «the blue screen of death.» I took it to Best Buy, as it was covered under Geek Squad tech support. Geek Squad took my laptop for a day and then told me it was my hard drive and that the data wad COMPLETELY UNRECOVERABLE. Disappointed with the employees of that particular Best Buy it decided to try another location. When I took it into the second Best Buy they wouldn’t even take the laptop because apparently the first Geek Squad techs had damaged my serial number and it was against policy if the serial number was not visible!!! He must have wiped the laptop down with an alcohol wipe or something to smear the ink numbers off. I mean that’s gotta be a huge rookie move if you ask me.
Furious in what Best Buy had done, I did research on Unilocal for a independent Computer Tech guy/​gal. I stumbled upon a plethora of them. Yet I went with Derrell after reading some other reviews and seeing how he was close to me. It is one of my best choices in recent memory.
Don’t be fooled, Derrell does his work out of his home/​garage. You may feel slightly indifferent leaving it up to a man in his garage just as I did. However, have no fear, Derrell is completely professional, kind, and a family man. No funny business.
Derrell took my laptop and went to work the next night (he does this side computer stuff at home at night). He seriously jumped through what must have been 10 big hoops. He even took it to his day job (that is also computer related) to use insanely mature professional grade software to search for my data on what was according to Geek Squad, «a piece of trash.» It took about a week and a half but Derrell pulled off what Best Buy/​Geek Squad would have deemed UTTERLY IMPOSSIBLE. He recovered my data, put it on both a thumb drive and a CD.
I now have my old book ideas, old tax forms, pictures of deceased family members, and all of my miscellaneous forms, ALL THANKS TO Derrell.
He charges a flat fee ranging from I think $ 50.00-$ 70.00. Even though my situation was a extremely time consuming and difficult one, his rate was still just $ 50.00. I was so elated and grateful, I paid Derrell the $ 50.00 flat fee and then gave him two times that amoiunt as a tip. He earned every penny as far as I am concerned for his kindness, professional prowess, and for working what would be a miracle according to the so called «techs» at Best Buy. I will go back to him for every computer question or issue I have in the future (here’s to hoping I won’t need to.)

Need help with a computer — especially at night or on a weekend? Looking for someone you can trust, ask questions, and not have to pay much? Give Derrell a call. He may be able to help you over the phone — or tell you to bring in your computer for him to look at — at no cost. If he can do whatever is needed, he generally charges a flat rate (around $ 50 plus or minus $ 10 depending on the problem) — no matter how long he works on your computer or what he has to do to get it running as well it can. Any needed parts are extra — but he does not charge you in advance for anything ordered — and will ask before incurring any additional costs) AND he MAY even replace, upgrade, or add things like memory or standard hardware components for NO cost if he has it available. He also has chargers and things like refurbished computers for sale. If an operating system needs to be (re)installed, he generally also includes Microsoft Office, antivirus and anti-​malware software. The 3 laptops and desktop I took to him — each with a different problem — now all work better than ever before. Two caveats/​considerations regarding Derrell are that he is NOT available (nor working on you computer) during the day (meaning you cannot take or pick up your computer until after 6:30pm) AND that it may take him several days to complete whatever he thinks your computer needs (including ensuring that all software required updates are downloaded and installed). Overall, though, Derrell is probably the person to call (first) for most computer problems. And if you «check in» on Unilocal,you can save an extra $ 5. Better yet, write him a positive review (and hope he doesn’t get too busy the next time you need his help).

Derrell is awesome about answering any questions and giving you the best deal. He is my go to guy!

Owner is reachable on nights and weekends when most businesses are closed. I was updated regularly on the status of my computer and explained what was wrong and what was needed to fix it (in language I could understand — I am not very tech savvy).
He went above and beyond in fixing the computer and also helping with a problem I was having with iTunes. Price was very reasonable and lowest in the area.
Parking is easy. My dogs were welcomed while I dropped off and picked up my computer.

Derrell did a great job of fixing my computer. Charges a fair price and stands behind his work. If I need am in a computer 911, Derrell will be the guy that I call again.

Darrell is excellent! Very knowledgeable and very nice! He has a flat rate so there’s no hidden upsets. I had updated to Windows 10 but my husband didn’t like it on his laptop so I tried to revert back to Windows 7 in doing so windows would not start up after I did that and I thought all of my data was lost and thought the computer was broken forever. I took it to Darrell and not only did he restore windows 7 on my laptop but he also restored all of my data including all of the pictures that I thought I had lost. I would recommend Darrell to anyone especially any friends and family that I have in the area. Not only did he do excellent work but he did it very quickly and it didn’t break the bank! Fantastic service at an excellent price! Derrell is really a nice guy and he knows what he’s doing. I took him my Windows 8 machine that wasn’t working the only display was a black screen. Not only was he able to repair all of its problems among them a corrupted hard drive; he had it repaired in a couple of days. I had called around before taking my machine to him and his price was a third of what other had quoted me. I highly recommend his work in fact next I’m taking my Windows 7 machine to him for repair.
