This place is a complete joke! I called and made an appointment to come in and get my tint done with prince. when I got there they weren’t busy they had me and the lady ahead of me waiting for no reason it took 3 hours to get my windows done 2 of those hours nothing was being done. When my windows were done I took a good look I noticed scratches and bubbles I told him to look at them prince said they would go away. Fine 7 days later I bring it back scratches still there and the outside of my window seal was burnt they did replace that which took another 7 days. They re did my tint and it looked worse little bubbles EVERYWHERE!!! For $ 200 I was expecting good work. And for that price I could have had someone on the street do that kind of job. When I went back to tell them fix it the owner said every time they redo it it’s gonna be something there and that they are wasting product and that from the outside nobody can see it. He literally pretended like he didn’t see all the bumps and scratches everywhere. That’s definitely is not the attitude to have. It’s not true anyways if they did it the Right way and not rush. I hate my tints I’m gonna eventually go somewhere else and re do it and take it as a lost. If you are debating this shop and the one at the bay shore car wash go to bay shore their work is worth the money they charge. No lint or bumps in your tint!

I bought my car almost a year ago from a private party who tinted the front windows and windshield an illegal grade himself. I left them on and never was hassled about them until recently. What brought me to Twin Brothers was a recent fix-​it ticket FOR MY WINDSHIELD (please note this) from a CHP officer creeping around right on my street.
I didn’t know what to expect when I got here, but upon finding street parking near the shop (they don’t have a parking lot, but finding a spot during the weekday shouldn’t be a problem) I walked in and spoke to one of the owners at their front desk.
He listened to my story, asked me to show him my car, and quoted me at $ 100 to remove the windshield tint, no big deal. I left the car with them and went for coffee nearby on Valencia (the location of this shop is great).
They called me back within 45 minutes to tell me the job was done! I arrived and noticed a little adhesive left over on my window, but an attendant quickly took care of that and apologized.
I promptly pay and leave for the CHP headquarters 10 minutes away, to get the citation signed off. The officer then tells me he wouldn’t sign it off unless my FRONT WINDOWS were taken off too!
Another call and drive back to the shop quickly solved the issue. They had the front windows taken off within and hour for $ 50.
Great service here; the staff is friendly, the work is top notch, and their competitive pricing is a plus. Definitely coming back here (to put my tints BACK ON). If you don’t mind a little clutter in an auto shop (unavoidable, if you ask me) give these guys a go.

Great service! Victor gave me a fair deal and stayed late to finish up. All in all I’d say it was the most pleasant experience I’ve had to at a San Francisco car shop since I’ve lived here. Precision work and friendly service

We took my brother’s car here to get tinted. They melted the side of his window. We came back to show them and they promised to fix it for us and after 2 weeks we haven’t heard from them. We came back again and they said he has to order the part himself even though they had promised to order it and fix it for us, since it was their fault. And before they even finished his car the first time they asked for a tip. Well here’s a tip. Do a better job because you’ll lose business otherwise. And as a business you should keep your words if you promise someone you’ll do something.

Needed sensor lowered on car alarm and battery for car alarm remote after negotiate a price with Victor, $ 45.00 down to $ 25.00 which I thought was a fair price. Victor tried to charge me $ 10 for one battery for car alarm remote he stated that was the Price for cleaning and one battery and got upset with me. When I knew all I needed was a battery he told me he would just take the battery out I told him that was fine then he changed his mind and said he didn’t feel like taking the battery out he would just charge me $ 5.00. All I’m saying is Victor try to take advantage of the wrong woman

My advice to you is be very careful with getting over charged at this place. Also DO NOT get your stereo installed with them. About two months ago I had a touch screen stereo installed in my 2000 Ford Expedition. They installed it incorrectly twice. I went back a month later after the entire system turned off because they didnt connect and secure the wires correctly the first time. I went back the second time because as I drove around the next day I noticed scratches all over the dash and around the area of where they had installed the stereo. They must have forced it in and scraped off the paint in several different spots trying to cut a bigger space in there to fit the stereo. When I complained that they had scratched off the paint the owner tried to tell me that it was like that before. Ha! I had pictures AND videos of the guy installing it and proof that it wasnt! He very rudely told me he would order me a new plastic piece to replace the one they had damaged but would not install it in fear of damaging it again and that I would have to take it elsewhere to be installed. It has been several weeks and I still havnt recieved that piece. Every time I go check to see if he has it yet I see that he has forgotten again… It has now almost been 3months since my stereo was installed and i STILL have not recieved anything from them. I am thinking of calling a lawyer if something is not done soon. Horrible customer service. Owner is nice and all smiles only when he knows you are about to come out of your pockets and pay him his overpriced prices unless you tell him you know its overpriced in which case you have to negotiate and deal with not as good service and rude customer service from him. I have told ALL my friends not to go with him. Half of them were like «Omg girl I could have told you that!» So Im not the only one dissapointed by them. If you do go with them be very careful of how they treat your car and also shop around so that you are not JIPPED for your money

I rarely write reviews but I was incredibly impressed with this place!
Like many others that live in SF, I recently experienced the sad ordeal that was having my window smashed in and my car broken into.
I drive a very common 2006 Civic coupe.
It happened at 7PM on a Friday.
I was a little worried that I may have to go until Monday without a window if the place I chose to fix it had to order the part.
I called this place at 345PM on Saturday. I told them the make and model of my car and which side it was. He told me they had it and I asked if I could come in within the hour. He said yes and I headed over.
I was driving away with a window at 545PM for under 200 bucks.
They instantly got themselves a lifetime customer.
The ONLY reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because they didn’t have anywhere to wait. I don’t expect much, maybe two plastic folding chairs up by the front desk just in case I come back early or don’t feel like walking around the neighborhood.

Sometimes you let me down. Like the other day when you let someone bash my back car window in. A stellar way to start a Sunday, wouldn’t you say?
Anyway, it happens and when it does, it’s a HUGE pain in the ass. You have to call around, juggle the feeling of basically bending over and taking it from places trying to gouge you on prices, but you know ya gotta get it fixed, so you smile like a cheap whore in the red light district and take it.
Thankfully, I got Pretty Woman’d out of the ho boat when Twin Brothers popped up on my radar after calling about 12 other places. They were open to beating anyone else’s price AND they came in a good $ 100 cheaper to boot! They had my glass repaired and tinted to match the rest of the windows in an afternoon and graciously held my car there til I was able to pick it up later the next day.
I was super impressed with his friendly service, happy demeanor and true professionalism and I would recommend him to anyone! He was even able to do the whole quote over text by sending pics. Awesome!
Thanks for reminding me that there are good and honest people not looking to screw you in times of stress and annoyance.

I got caught with my front windows tinted after a year and a half on the way to San Jose once by the highway patrol. This was last year ³⁄₂₀₁₃. After the initial grief of getting caught I thought off and on bout tinting them agAin but was either too lazy or too tired. But seeing more and more cars with their windows like thag motivated me till one day I decided to cruise the city and see wat I run into. lol. I had followed mission from Daly City into sf and realized I was near twin bros so I thought why not and decided to get them done here (I got my windows done here legally wen I first got my car back in 05). The dude said he could squeeze me in and quoted me $ 90. I decided not to haggle since I was a drop in and thought it was only $ 10 over so why not. They did a good quick job while I chatted with sone of the staff. After they were done I asked the fastest way back to Daly City so I dnt get caught. He told me the way and off I went hiding next to each car that was next to me (way of the ninja: one must blend in with surroundings). My hear was beating out of my chest but I made it home. Accidentally rolled down my window as a habit cuz my car got too hot but a week later still no bubbles. Good service good quality tint.

Well, after three years of uneventfully parking my car on streets around the Bay Area, my luck finally ran out one night when Oakland decided to live up to the stereotypes that I used to defend it from. I left the car for ten minutes and came back to a busted rear door window and a missing Canon DSLR. Lovely.
I called Safelite that night and got a quote of $ 450 for the new window. The next day, I searched for a few other places until the search ended at Twin Brothers with a quote of $ 230, including tinting. And they had it in stock! Awesome; sold. I now know how Safelite can afford those national radio commercials with the dumbass jingle. Took it in on a Friday morning and it was fixed up in about an hour.
Of course, the window Twin Brothers replaced was promptly busted out again two weeks later around the corner from my apartment, this time with the 10-​year-​old car stereo missing. You win, Mission, you got me. After replacing not one but two windows in the span of a month, I now pay for a garage parking space and carry around a Jambox until I get tired of that and call these guys to replace the radio. Lesson learned.

What a terrible window tinting experience here at Twin Brothers Auto Glass. I called about a week before to have my BRAND new car tinted. I spoke with Prince over the phone, he was very polite and professional. I specifically requested that he use the tint brand SunTek (a very reputable tint film on the market), he told me that that’s what they used so I scheduled an appointment.
The following week when I get there to the shop he raises the price on me because of the small back window. Original price of $ 150 went up to $ 180. I said ok because I didn’t want to deal with it and I was already at the shop. They get to work right away on my car and they used a film brand called American Standard Window Film (ASWF). I did some research and this brand seemed to be ok, but not as reputable as SunTek as Prince had promised me over the phone the past week. They did their thing in about an hour, and when one of the workers was working on my back passenger door, he dinged the door on a file cabinet they have in the shop; although there was no damage that was very careless of him to do that.
Overall the tint job looked great and I was happy with it until I noticed something on my car. Not visible inside the shop but when in the direct sunlight, one of the workers had melted my b-​pillars (the black plastic on the exterior of the car where the front and rear window meet), and it was also dented. I go back in and they deny all claims that it was them who had done it although clearly it was them. My car was about 2 weeks old and had been garaged every single night. The pillar was melted and dented; AND THEY STILL HAD THE NERVE TO DENY ALL CLAIMS OF ANYTHING. How else can a 2 week old car’s pillar get melted then dented? It was obviously the heat gun.
Overall a terrible experience; they ruined the exterior of my car and on top of that didn’t even use the brand of film that was promised to me. Please go here if you want your car to be dinged and if you also want to be lied to in order to get you into their shop. I have no idea why they have so many good ratings. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.

I Made an appointment at 4pm for a tint removal, and came at 430pm. Done in 15 minutes. Great price, and great service.
Prince is extremely helpful. I will definitely recommend my friends to come to this store.

After having my power window come off track, I had them put my window up a couple of weeks ago until the part came in from BMW. When it arrived earlier this week, I made an appointment here to have the regulator installed and the window re-​tinted.
Cue the circus clowns.
I was here for four hours on my Saturday, only to have these jokers:
1. Ruin my door panel by splitting the two panels on takeoff or installation, and not installing it correctly (my door handle is currently not flush)
2. Weasel out of responsibility and try to say I destroyed it (Huh? It was intact when I pulled in. Did I use my telepathic powers while watching the Giants game? Yeah… maybe I DID do that…);
3. Cut the tint too small (not to mention it is also bubbled);
4. When I called them out on horrible work, I was told to «sell my car.»
Victor initially refused to give me any money back. I lost my composure and began arguing in English and Spanish that I want my money back for a shoddy job. When he saw the effed up window tint, he begrudgingly gave me back the cash for the window, but refused to take any responsibility for the door panel. None. Zero. Nada.
No worries, Victor. If you screw me once, you’d better enjoy it… you aren’t screwing me twice. And I am more than happy to let the world of Unilocal know what an unethical business you run.

After getting my car broken into for the 2^nd time… AGAIN… I am sick and tired of fixing it! But it is what it is… I have to call places for a quote.
Not knowing the actual worth of windows/​glass, I got a range of prices. One place tells me $ 285, one place tells me $ 400. Another place tells me $ 210 for a used one. Being clouded with the inconsistent pricing… my next call on the list was Twin Brothers. They were helpful and tried to give me the best price compared to what I’ve gotten so far. They matched one place and I went with Twin Brothers since they can get it done the same day. Very efficient (done in 1 ½ hour) and they did a great job in vacuuming out the broken glass. USA made glass with weather strips. Don’t worry Unilocalers… they got you covered!
