Aarons Moving

I used this moving company to move my one bedroom apartment that was already packed when they arrived. They took their time and moved extremely slow and went missing at some point for awhile and I went down and found them sitting in the truck and when they saw me, they got out and said they were having a smoke break. At the point they had only been moving for about 35 – 40 minutes or so. Then it took them 30 minutes, almost 40 minutes longer than it took me to drive to the new apartment. I got pretty angry at this point and told them they were slacking. It then took them 30 minutes to unpack. Keep in mind they took 1.5 hours to pack the truck. If you choose to hire them, make sure you watch them because if they see you aren’t paying attention, they will take breaks and work extra slow. I would also make sure you follow them rather than drive ahead of them. They can do their job since they were hustling towards the end after they knew I was on to them. I really did not like this moving company and would never use them again.

From start to finish, their team was professional, friendly and very careful. Crew worked fast and efficient with a keeping eye for detail. Movers wrapped our furniture and pictures in the special packaging blankets. Everything arrived without a scratch. No damage to our furniture or the home. Aaron’s Moving were done in 5 hours, which I thought was very efficient, since they completed the job in less time than initially estimated!
I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to move in the Bay Area.

Nice job. The movers showed up on time and, with the exception of a lunch break, didn’t stop until the job was completed. Everything was boxed up nicely.
It did run over the amount that was quoted me, which is why I’m not giving them 5 stars. So, in the end, the discount coupon didn’t make that much of a difference.

From start to finish a very professional organization. We just completed Phase 1 of our move and we will definitely use Aaron’s again for Phase 2.
Viktoria was very knowledgeable, responsive and answered all my questions. She accommodated our move date to exactly what we needed.
The estimate was complete and also answered lots of our questions about some delicate office equipment we were moving
The crew leader was very good. The crew was courteous and efficient.
From 8:30 am till 3:30 pm they worked hard and took good care of our belongings.

This was the best moving company we have ever used. They were punctual, efficient, and courteous. The price was reasonable and they took extra care not to break any of our items. Extremely reliable. I would recommend them to anybody considering a move.

We used Aaron’s again in January to move furniture from one side of our duplex to the other (piano, dining room set with china cabinet and bedroom set, all heavy stuff). They also delivered an electric hospital bed to a friend in San Jose and set it up for her as part of the same move. The guys were great, the job was done quickly and efficiently with no damage or mishaps. The office manager Viktoria (not a typo spelled with a ‘k’) is very efficient. It definitely is worth every penny to hire the pros to deal with moving heavy furniture.

This review is long overdue. Konstantin and his crew have moved us 3 times already, and they did a great job every time. They work hard and move things quickly, which is what we have been looking for. No need to wrap and pamper our Ikea furniture (I’m pretty sure they could/​would do that if requested). Also, they always looked for a way to park their truck so that things can get in and out quickly. They have gone over our balcony twice, which cut hours off the total time (our neighbors’ movers parked about 100 yards away on the street…). I never had any issues with damaged items. However, I move the expensive electronics myself. Last time we asked them to use carpet protection, because we had just put in a new carpet — no problem.

I didn’t realize how much of a gem they were until I had a horrible experience with another mover. A friend recommended I use Aaron’s moving about three years ago when I moved out of a 3story townhouse into an apartment. 3 guys showed up – one elderly and two younger guys. I thought at first only the two younger guys would do all the move making this move longer than quoted, but no, all three guys worked diligently the entire time. Because it was a long time ago I don’t remember everything but I remember them bring very professional, taking extra care of all of our furniture and even taking steps to prevent any damages to the wall or ground by laying covers on the floor and on the walls. They were a bit in the pricier side… But looking back, it’s better to pay that much for quality work. Next time I move, I will definitely be using them instead of looking for cheaper movers.

Don’t use these guys. If something breaks they will loophole you out of your rightful compensation.

They were amazing and had 2 efficient movers who took care of everything! They even had wardrobe boxes for me to move my clothes with the hangers still on! The workers put my bed back together more sturdy than it originally was. I highly recommend Aaron’s Moving company! They worked from 10am to 3:30pm and everyone was starving but determined to get the move done efficiently.
I moved a 3 bdrm condo to a one bdrm and they made a quick run to my storage. Total cost was about $ 730 and the Unilocal coupon brought it down to $ 633!!!

Great job and nothing broke!

We needed movers with insurance so went «professional» as the condo HOA we moved to requested. Three guys. Pretty fast and decent but I am writing a bad review for three reasons.
1) I asked so clearly for them to wrap my babies crib so it would not be damaged. They ignore me and say it will be fine. It was totally scratched up and damaged. I pay for the damn wrap so why not use it?
2) we had a total of three really expensive big furniture items. My $ 1200 leather chair has a near hole in the arm. Almost punctured. Ir is permanent damage in a visible place.
3) Viktoria is horrible. Won’t respond or call back once she has your credit card. Won’t use these guys again.

These guys won’t be getting our business. Their movers blocked the handicapped parking spot and were rude to our HR admin, then began whistling at our other admin when she approached them to ask about a quote.

In October of 2013 we had Aarons Moving move two of our family into a new condo in San Jose. I spoke with 3 other moving companies and decided that Aarons would work for us. I think what sold me on them is when the Manager came out and gave us the bid and Victoria who is the «office lady» in charge was also their. They were very professional in doing the estimate and very polite. They were clear in explaining what they would do including taking care of breakables. The moving truck and three guys showed up on time, they were efficient in moving the furniture, packing, securing loose items and did not waste time. They arrived at the new destination on time, unloaded and moved up to the 3^rd story using both the elevator and stairs. They were working hard and even had to deal with a oversize couch that would not fit into the elevator nor could go up the first flight of stairs. They had to manhandle it by lifting it up to the 2^nd floor mezzanine and then they could work it up the stairs. I want to thank all three guys for doing a great job and we will use them again and I would recommend them to all.

Aaron’s moving did such a great job moving all beloved belongings! I hate moving. They are so good. I would pay again just for the ease of simply packing and unpacking. They also have closet boxes which are AMAZING if you have too many clothes like me :)

We used Aarons Moving recently and were very happy with their service. I asked for three moving men to help with the move and a large truck with a lift-​gate. I asked to have my important things blanket wrapped and that’s exactly what I got. They were at the old house on time, in fact 10 minutes early, and they were off the job when they said they would be. That is very good estimating on their part. The cost was exactly what I was quoted not a penny more.
I used another company for a previous move, and after they finished, they told my wife she was to pay their fuel, and then they demanded tips for the three workers. $ 100 dollars each. Amazingly my wife paid everything they asked. When I called Aarons, I asked if this was the case with them and they assured them it was not. What they quoted is what I would pay.

We just finished our move today and Tony and Q. did a great job! They were courteous and professional during the whole move and easy to get along with. With their help we managed to move within 4 hours exactly, no damage, all goods were moved safely. Without their focus and determination that would not have been possible. Will definitely be using Aaron’s Moving next time and would happily recommend them to friends and family. Again, great job you guys!

I’d give 3.5 stars if I could, but rounding up because the guys worked so fast — I actually felt bad for them! (It was an uncharacteristically hot and muggy day.)
Positives:
1) They wasted no time; they worked nonstop and I couldn’t have asked for them to work at a faster pace.
2) One of the men tracked a little mud in, and he bent over backwards cleaning it up and making sure it didn’t happen again.
3) They were ontime and very friendly.
4) Viktoria was great to deal with both on phone and by email! She made sure I knew about the Unilocal deal.
The negatives were few:
1) One of the wardrobe boxes smelled like cigarettes (the menthol kind) and now my clothing does as well. (My new place is less than five minutes from my old, so I hadn’t thought it would be long enough for the smell to be picked up. I was wrong!)
2) They wrapped my furniture in plastic… then didn’t unwrap it. I don’t move often, but if they wrapped it, it seems like they should have unwrapped it as well.
3) They took the shelves out of the bookshelves, but didn’t put them back in. I had to hunt them down — they ended up in a totally different room. (But, on the other hand, they took apart an entertainment unit to move it, and did put it back together.)
The minimum you pay for is four hours (which they clearly tell you ahead of time). My move took a hair under two hours, so they could have done those couple things I mentioned.
Another Unilocal review said it took them 4+ hours for a one bedroom apartment with no big furniture, so I was a little worried. (I’m in a one bedroom with big furniture) But, as I mentioned, it didn’t even get close to 4 hours.
All in all, I’d use them again and recommend them. …and now that I’ve written all this up, I think they do deserve the full four stars.

Had an excellent experience today with Aarons moving! From start to finish my experience was professional, efficient and positive. I was really nervous about using movers but would do it over again in a heart beat.
Oh and the Unilocal deal– do it! Worked like a charm!

I’ve used several moving companies in the past for both local moves and long distance. This was the first time a mover told me they would show up at a certain time and actually showed up on time. The two movers showed up on time, explained the paperwork and asked me if everything was clear and that I understood.
They offered me use of a wardrobe box and asked me if I needed any more packing supplies.
I have a very long couch and they could not get it through the front door which is at the top of the stairs followed by a sharp right turn. They had to lift the couch up and bring it through the upstairs patio doors, and did not ask for any additional charge. They were carefull and did not damage anything of get it dirty.
The woman in the office was very nice, explained everything and told me about the online coupon.
I think I got a great deal with this move and am very, very happy.

My first time using a moving company — and after reading the nightmare stories and reviews of moving companies, I was *SURE* my move would be a disaster (and expensive!).
I moved from Boulder Creek in the Santa Cruz mountains, an area that is remote and sparsely populated, so I figured the movers would likely be late or get lost or take the wrong route to my home. Boy was I surprised when they arrived at 9:30 am on the dot, as promised!
The guys were a whirlwind of activity and got to business right away. They loaded just as I directed, and moved so fast I could barely keep up. I filled the wardrobes they provided with all my hanging clothes, which arrived securely without a wrinkle.
Not only were they hard-​working and polite, here’s the real shocker: They charged exactly what they quoted on the phone.
