I’m not really a review writer but this place deserved it! I was quoted $ 508 for replacement rear breaks from my Infiniti dealership and had under 3 mm left so I had to get them done. I searched for places around my house to see if I could get a better deal knowing dealerships charge above market… Came across the coupon so I gave these guys a call. The quote came in at $ 189.99 plus tax! Awesome and with the deal I save $ 25 more. So I asked could they take my car in an hour, yes no problem! Dropped it off and they called an hour later all done. Pleasant guys, great deal and fast service with 30,000 mile warranty. Can’t beat that I’d say… I’ll be back for my front brakes in a few months for sure!

Purchased the Unilocal deal, went in because brakes were making some noise. Was looking to spend about 3 – 400
Went in, they took a look at my car and said my brakes still had a ton of life left! Everything that came out of that man’s mouth sounded sincere and honest. Left without having to paying anything.

This is the best auto repair experience I’ve ever had. They are true professionals. They’re nice, the compliment and I’m not just trying to sell you something. I was most impressed one of the five people that came in, they killed three of them they didn’t need their brakes repaired yet. In fact my brakes pulsate on the highway. They said the rotors were worn out but it wasn’t a safety hazard and they didn’t need to be fixed yet. I decided to fix it anyway because it was so annoying. They told me I had to 20 000 miles left on the back brakes. The very next day I went to another Auto repair shop for an oil change and the people there said my back brakes are worn out and needed to be replaced. When I said I just have them inspected in a brake shop they were completely silent. I’d recommend D&D brakes to anyone.

Ok, this place is a true anomaly. What amazing, honest service! I went in to have my breaks checked as they were making some strange squealing and grinding noises. The guys at D&D were able to get me in right away and check my car. Much to my surprise, they came back to me and said there was nothing at all wrong with my brakes, save for some pretty bad brake dust which they took care of. I asked if they would mind rotating my tires while it was on the lift, which they were happy to oblige. When all was said and done, I had the peace of mind that my vehicle was safe to drive, and the awesome bonus, they wouldn’t even charge me for cleaning up my brake dust and rotating my tires. This might seem like a small thing, but to me, the customer service at D&D made my day. I have had a lot of bad experiences with auto shops trying to take advantage and overcharge, so this was the most welcomed change! I have told everyone I know to go here for their brake needs. Thanks guys!

The staff were great to me! I called on a Saturday morning to see if they can fit me in the same day for brake service. The guy on the phone got me in without hesitation! I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment and they got to my van right away. They first did a brake inspection & then let me know that my front brakes still look good & have about another 20K miles to go. The rears needed work done so I had them service it. It took about 1.5 hours & I was a happy camper! They do not recommend any unnecessary work unlike some other shops out there. I love their honesty! Larry & his crew at D&D Brake Services are highly recommended! I will definitely return for my next brake service!

I bought an aftermarket brake sport brake kit online for my car and I was looking for a quality install work at a reasonable price. I contacted other brake/​custom shops in the area and I was quoted almost double for what D&D charged me. My car is on air suspension with wheel spacers and rims. Maybe that’s why other shops charged so much, but these guys are fair. I waited only a couple of hours and the brakes work well with no issues! They also respected my request of hand torquing my rims back instead of an impact wrench. I’m definitely coming here again for any brake needs.

Been here a couple of times and these guys always have some of the lowest prices for some of the best service. Definitely go here if you need to have anything brake-​related done.

We have been here for a couple of things. The guys are always open and clear on what needs to be done and the cost. Fast service and great customer service. I know I will keep coming back for my car needs.

I’ve loved these guys for years, through three trucks of my own and the vehicles of at least two friends who needed rides to pick up their cars here after I referred them to this place. Even with a good friend now who owns a garage and gives me a hard time when I don’t bring all vehicles to him for repair, when he’s out for a day (as he was last week), then D&D comes to the rescue. We mentioned to him that this would be our brake spot while he was out, and he had nothing but good things to say about them. When your competitors say good things about you even in their private lives, you know you’re a good brake shop.
I can’t remember the prices on the past brake jobs I’ve had here, but they were easily the lowest-​bid jobs in town the first time, and after that I just kept coming here without calling around. This time, they were about $ 150 to just fix the brakes on a little Ford sedan, which ended up needing rotors and calipers, roughly doubling the price. The brakes were already grinding at every touch of the pedal, so the rotors and calipers had to be necessary. If we’d caught it earlier, we would’ve paid far less. They do only the work you need, they do it quickly, they pretty much always have the parts on hand that day, and I’ve never seen anyone able to match their prices.
The quality of work here has always been excellent as well. I’ve worn out brake jobs of theirs (through tens of thousands of miles of driving) and never had an issue, nor have any of the friends who’ve had work done here.
It’s not a big shop, other than the large number of work bays they have under their roof. The waiting room is virtually non-​existent, and the bathroom is a million years old, with stone age lighting technology and flush technology that’s maybe from the bronze age. You don’t come in here for the latest copy of Us magazine, free pop, and cushy waiting room furniture. You come here to get your brakes done, in and out. We dropped it off the night before, and it was ready before 11 the next day, even with a constant stream of customers all around us – they pulled her car out, and every bay was full behind her by the time we got there.
It’s a grotty stretch of Aurora. You’re looking at pawn shops and psychic readings and whatnot through here, and parking is tight. But I can certainly deal with some touch and go parking in order to save a hundred or more on PITA car fixes like brake jobs. So happy these guys are here, and will be back again and again.

Step 1. Recently my car started squeaking a shrill, screaming bloody murder shriek every time I drove it. I started considering places to go which was overwhelming considering my little trooper Honda has never needed service before. I first went to place recommended by my good ol’ pops. This was a mistake. (No offense, dad.) Pops recommended place only fixed half the problem… still squeaked. (Squeaked it’s the right word… my poor little car SCREAMED. Hide yo kids). At this point I had to blast the AC and turn up the music… Avoid eye contact to other drivers… apologize for waking neighbor children… yah it got that bad.
Step 2. Consult Unilocal. (Duh.)
Step 3. Called these guys and boom. SO nice and calm on the phone when I described my screaming car «that kinda grinded metal sometimes… sometimes not though… but it doesn’t do it in the mornings tho…» Yeah not sounding like an idiot when talking about cars isn’t really my strong suit. Make an appt immediately, drive right up that week for them to check it out.
Step. 3. Immediately saw my back brakes were out and gave me a quote. Was easy going when I had to reschedule because of a busy day. Within a few hours it was good to go. I cannot express to you enough how genuinely friendly and chill these men are. It feels like you’re dropping off your car to one of your good friends. Especially recommended to those not completely knowledgable about cars and weird screaming noises.

For less than $ 200 plus tax, they will repair/​replace your brakes. They are honest and will show you the condition of your brakes (whether you need to replace or not). I, normally, will have them replace as I drive an hour to get there. Well worth it for me! Dealership would have charged me $ 400!

These guys did a very good job! Plus I used the Unilocal deal, so it felt like I got a good deal too. The mechanic that worked on my car did a good job answering my questions plus gave me an estimate prior to any work started.
After the repair, my car works a lot better and no vibrating steering wheel. I would recommend this place.

Seriously, I called yesterday afternoon, dropped it off at 5:30, and they called this morning around 9:30 to say it was done (front disc brake pads changed and everything else checked out). And the price was very, very reasonable.

Super easy transaction!
I made an appointment for a brake check and showed up a couple hours later. Tom took several minutes to open up my car, before showing me where the wear was and explained the process and cost. He offered to do the repair right then and there which was completely unexpected, but I opted to come back the next day (Saturday).
The quote he gave me that day though, was just about half of what another location had given me. I couldn’t believeeee it, but then I could after reading all these positive reviews on Unilocal!
The next day, I received a call offering to have me come in earlier than my appointed time. I was kind of being a pain when it came to scheduling (sorry!) yesterday and I appreciated that they wanted to help me earlier. However I had plans in the morning so I called to let them know I’ll see them at my appointment.
I dropped the car off and was told it would take maybe 2.5hrs. I walked home and did some stuff until my phone rang. It was Tom saying the car was done! I was surprised that it was done so quickly. I was further surprised because I saw that I missed a call from him about 40mins earlier saying the car was done then. Wow, what speedy service.
I walked back as quick as I could and saw my car sitting outside waiting. The shop was quiet and there were no more customers in their small waiting area. While Tom was updating my invoice because I purchased a Unilocal deal (accepted very easily and with no problems), I noticed they were listed as closed at noon on Saturdays! I felt really bad that I made an appointment at the time they closed and said so, when he returned. But Tom assured me that they are open a little later than noon on Saturday and not to worry. Wow, what great customer care!

Blown away by this place. Came in for a quote on Saturday. Scheduled an appointment for Monday. Pulled in, they got started right away. They got my truck on the lift and let me know right away that my front rotors were beyond being resurfaced. Done in about an hour. Super professional and personable. These guys know their stuff.
As far as price goes, they charged far less than anywhere else I visited. No bs. No upselling. If my brakes ever need work again, I’ll make the trip up to North Seattle. Definitely worth the drive.

WOW this place is awesome.
My brakes started going out the other day, if I didn’t have such spiderman-​like reflexes I could’ve easily rear ended a car on the freeway.
The next day I started calling a bunch of shops that had good reviews, and most of them quoted $ 500+ to replace brakes and rotors. D&D Quoted me something like $ 222. I had left my wallet in my friend’s car the night before I had my appointment and D&D were gracious enough to allow me to call them back with the payment.
Also they’re completely honest! Since they didn’t have to replace my rear brakes they lowered the cost by roughly $ 30 from what they quoted me.
I’ll never get brake service anywhere else again!
