Joe The Plumber

Iv’e used Joe twice now and he has been great each time. He answers his phone, he does what he says he is going to do. No fuss, no muss. What else can you ask for in a plumber???

We had a toilet that’s been slowly leaking and running off and on for quite some time. I replaced the parts I felt comfortable doing myself and then reached out to Joe through his website. After a few emails he came out to look it over. He helped me understand that the leak was with the flush valve assembly (we have an unusual toilet — a Caroma Caravelle two piece), and recommended I replace it.
He helped me figure out the parts I needed, I ordered them myself, and then he came back out and replaced them in no time. Toilet’s been leak free ever since.
I hope I don’t need to call a plumber anytime soon, but if I do I will certainly call Joe.

Joe The Plumber earns this rating not for work completed at my home, but for returning a phone call and being HONEST!
I had a situation with my tankless water heater on a Friday (don’t the problems always appear on weekends or holidays?) I left a message for Joe before 7am and received a return call within minutes. Unfortunately he doesn’t work on tankless systems, and recommended that I look on line for someone certified.
Well … that’s what I did. I was in a bit of a panic (no hot water for the weekend), so I contacted Beacon plumbing which advertised repair/​maintenance/​knowledge of tankless systems … HUGE MISTAKE! Dishonest people, completely took advantage of me financially, rude, zero customer service,

I’ve used Joe the Plumber on a couple of occasions for my condo in Queen Anne. The first time, he was quite friendly and helpful and I thought he charged a reasonable fee to fix my kitchen faucet that was leaking. I recommended him to my tenants when we had a noisy/​creaky bathroom faucet that needed to be repaired. However, this second time, he not only did a cursory check of my bathroom hardware, but rounded up his time. According to my tenant, he was there from 4:52 to 5:12 (20 mins approx) and charged us for half an hour plus tax. For turning on a faucet and a visual inspection, we were charged $ 98.64. I will upload a photo of the bill.

I have been looking on/​off for a plumber for quite some time. I have used a few and found them to be totally overpriced and dishonest, or not interested in doing small jobs. I live in a condo on Queen Ann and noticed a truck in our driveway with the logo Joe The Plumber. He was in the building servicing one of the neighbors who had some plumbing issues. I immediately went on line to look up Joe The Plumber business and was blown away by all the positive outcomes and responses people expressed after using his service. So I immediately call Joe as well as leaving a message on his web site. He responded back, set up a time to come out, did a great job and left no mess behind. He was professional, kind, very easy to talk to, and above all honest. The pressure is off me now knowing that I don’t have to go through trials and errors trying to find a knowledgeable, honest, easy to chat with plumber. All I can say and repeat is what Tony the tiger said «HE’S GREAT!»

Had water pressure problem for years. Old house with not great plumbing, but Joe saved the day. Tried to solve the problem over the phone at first to save us money. But when it didn’t completely solve the problem he was right here to fix it. He’s my hero

Super responsive over email and honest. He came out to check some rattling pipes and knew pretty quickly it was a heating/​boiler issue and that I needed to call a heating company. He didn’t charge me for his time to come out and check. I also recently had a problem with my washer leaking. I sent him a photo of where the leak was coming from, and he was able to tell me if I needed a plumber or a washing machine repair person.

Joe was extremely knowledgable and even entertained my curious baby while replacing our garbage disposal. We will call him again for our plumbing needs.

We had had a kid birthday party and discovered during the party that a friend’s kiddo had discovered a new trick… flushing items down the toilet. We called Joe and he was great about responding to my emails and figuring out a date to meet. I would imagine he gets a lot of calls so I was already feeling appreciative of his communication. He came out and worked on our toilet and was able to remove a kids toothpaste container (these are wider than adults). He didn’t even have to remove the toilet which I was really surprised by and he didn’t scratch our toilet with the auger. While he was here we had him check our kitchen garbage disposal and master bath sink and shower. I added these on last minute but he was totally fine with that. In my head I was estimating that this would be about $ 160 but he came in $ 30 under that. Woohoo! I will definitely be calling him again the next time we need plumbing help. Thank you Joe!

I had him down to fix the Johnson T coming out of my dishwasher and he found the jam up. He was the most honest plumber I have ever delt with. If you have a plumbing problem call this company.

Joe provides fantastic customer service! I e-​mailed him for an appointment after my garbage disposal broke. He responded immediately even though his out-​of-​office message said he was on vacation, and we confirmed an appointment. He advised me what type of disposal to buy. The day of the installation, traffic was a nightmare — Joe called me repeatedly; first to let me know he would be late and then follow-​ups to update me on his progress. He arrived and was respectful of my home and didn’t track anything in. His work was fast and efficient and his price for installation extremely reasonable, including the small «haul away» charge for the old disposal. Great experience and I’m completely satisfied!

We were in a bind last week and Joe saved the day!!! We needed a plumber to come to our Queen Anne home as Toilet was backed up. He came over within an hour of the call.
He was courteous friendly and super professional. He not only solved the problem immediately he did not over charge us. He was better then fair. We call plumbers usually once or twice a year and no one has ever been as efficient and as nice as he was.
Very grateful for his service and highly recommend him!

Joe helped us out today with shower fixture and also caught another issue that had been mentioned by another plumber who quoted us a much higher price for fixing it as well as trying very hard to convince us it should be done immediately. Joe said it should be done… eventually. On time, friendly. Highly recommend Joe.

«Joe» replied to my email through his website, we discussed the project and my expectations, he was willing to come out and do the work.
While on site troubleshooting he also identified and implemented solution to a drainage problem that had troubled me for 20 years, a problem that a couple other plumbers on other occasions had looked at, fumbled around with, and failed to solve.
I recommend Joe every chance I get.
(I rarely do places earn a 5-​star review from me. But just to be clear, this was easily a 4.5 solution and service.)

Joe helped us with several plumbing issues after our move into a different home. He gave recommendations about what we did and did not need and was good to work with. We will have him back if we should need future help. Thanks, Joe!

He answered me via his website contact form but did not return my call. No big as he answered my question. They do not do re-​pipe work.

Yep, another rave for Joe The Plumber! Quick to respond. showed up as promised (including calling me when en route), fixed the clogged basement floor drain, advised us on using enzymes to keep our sink drain clear, noticed a small issue with our dryer vent and fixed it in a jiffy at no extra charge. And his rates are very reasonable.
Knowledgeable, reliable, professional, friendly, and affordable — that’s Joe The Plumber!

I left him several voicemails and, when I didn’t hear back from him within 24 hours, I tried the «contact me» on the website, I have heard good things about Joe but now I am starting to wonder… if he really wants my business… I work in sales and this is not how you handle customers…
****** update***** Well Joe emailed me after I wrote the 1^st review and stated that he could be there on friday between 12−2… OK cool I took the day off work so I could be at home that day… then at 5:15 AM I get am email from him stated that he could not make it and could come the following week. DUDE THIS IS NOT HOW YOU DO BUSINESS!!! I would have like to write a good review but, I have nothing to work with here, after I read all the good reviews I was like yeah this guy seems like a good choice to do the work I need done… the worst part is, is that I see his truck 2 blocks from my house all the time… he could walk to my house to do the work… all not good…

Joe was great! Love that my sink is running smooth and he was very friendly. My husband and I had questions. He was happy to answer them and give us advice to save us aggravation in the future.
He was very thorough and his pricing was fair. Definitely worth the call!

On two separate instances, I called Joe asking him concerning his services for my bathtub and sink. Both of which Joe was so helpful and honest in his assessment, which saved me both time and $$$.
A few months ago, my bathtub started getting a bubbly surface and Joe had me email a photo of my bathtub. After a discussion with Joe on the phone, he determined it was would involve his services, saving me time and money.
Now just a few days ago, I called Joe about a problem with my airgap in my kitchen sink. Joe was able to diagnose the problem over the phone and instructed me on how the issue could be easily resolved on my own.
For future plumbing problems that will require a professional, I can say without hesitation that I will be calling Joe, because he is so knowledgeable, professional, and honest.
