Private teaching is a great way to learn a new language at your own pace. I offer customized lessons to all of my students depending on their levels, goals and needs. Whether you are preparing a trip to a French speaking country, are starting from scratch or want to perfect your conversation skills, I can help you get to the next level!

–French Conversation Support Group —

Here is your chance to be totally immersed in the French language for 90 minutes once a week! We are going to be speaking French only and have a real conversation in a safe environment where you can make mistakes. Making mistakes is good! You have more chances to learn if you make mistakes than if you stay in your comfort zone. This is a fun way to practice the language and be part of a supportive community!

History

Established in 2012.

I was born in Montréal (Québec, Canada) and raised in a French speaking family. I learned English as a second language at school but didn’t get many opportunities to practice it. When I moved to Seattle in 2008, I found myself in the hot seat!

Conversations were going too fast; it was easy to lose the thread and I didn’t have the vocabulary necessary to express myself. I was afraid of making mistakes, wanted to get it perfectly right away and was one of the people saying «I am not good at learning languages». Nonetheless, lots of mimes, laughs and hard work later, I learned English!

With my experience in mind, the desire to help people learn French came naturally. My hope is to create a safe and inspiring environment where people can make mistakes, experiment with the language and learn at their own pace. Learning a new language as well as teaching it is a very rewarding experience. It builds your confidence, broadens your vision of the world and enriches your whole life.
