~Saw BudgetTire’s CraigsList-​ad on good ‘used-​tires’ so drove my ‘66Chevy-​van (windowless G-​10 with Corvette-​sbV8 & Turbo400-​trans.) a number of miles from KearnyMesa, –where out of their vast-​stock of used tires Martin selected a very decent matching-​pair of Pirelli-​tires 205−60Rx15″ for $ 70-(balanced&installed); —so then i also bought a nice Michelin 205−65Rx15″ for my spare! My wheels are the classic Slotted-​Mag (aluminum) style, –so they also hand-​torqued the lugnuts as requested as to avoid any stud-​stripping over-​tightening. The $avings over new tires was definitely worth the trip to deal with these very obliging gents! They will be my ‘Go To Guys’! Bob -(Jan./10/2016)

Had to stop by on an emergency for a new tire before heading back home. I was going to grab 1 used tire for $ 40, but they had 4 Michelin tires with way better threading. My tires were all due for a change since the threading was fading. I’ve always gotten used tires on my car, so to find Michellin tires at a used tire shop was a score! The gentleman Martin had great customer service and very friendly. Luckily they were open on Sunday! Thank you Martin for your help

In short: super friendly, ridiculously helpful, and fantastic (aka inexpensive) pricing!
In long: My tire had a nail in it and was *completely* flat. After having AAA come out and fill it for me, I came straight down to Discount Tire expecting them to tell me to buy a new or a used tire since I had unknowingly driven on the flat the past few days (hey, I’m not a car person) and made it worse… to my pleasant surprise, Jose explained exactly what the deal was, PROVED it to me by showing me the inside of another tire who had done the same thing as me, and then showed my the inside of my tire to compare, and told me he would recommend simply patching it since my tires were still 95% new!
He joked and said though he would love the extra money a new (or even used) tire would cost, there’s no way they would do that to a customer. I appreciated that honesty because there are plenty of car places that would do that without batting an eye (especially to a car-​clueless woman like myself).
I had vented a bit to him about my frustrating car issues over the past month and Jose went WAY above and beyond by checking out my brakes AND giving me a referral to a place to get my broken back window replaced (from a lovely car break in 3 weeks ago).
I really can’t say enough good things about the service here, which is saying a lot for a simple little tire shop!!!

I went there after a tire blowout nearby the shop. I felt as though I should have left once I saw all the USED tires there. I ignored my guy feeling, Big Mistake. He priced me 350 for 4 tires for my car. Nice price so I went with it. Upon getting up to speed on the highway the car started being very unstable wobbling all over. I returned the next day and Martin, the manager, rebalanced the tires and we did a test ride. Same result but a little better. He gave me 4 more tires of another brand. It was better but still a big problem wobbling at 65−70MPH. I called him back and he said nothing else he can do. I was willing for them to order Better Tires but that was not offered. I then took it to a dealer and told them the problem. The checked the balance and ALL FOUR were IMPROPERLY BALANCED and under inflated. My car is now back to perfect. 60.00 Later of course.
I called Martin back and told him what happened. I spent 4 – 5 hours of my time correcting what should have been no issue for a Tire Store. Balancing Tires is their BUSINESS! Although the staff were friendly and fast the result is a total lack of confidence of doing business with them again. The reply to me telling them the problem was «sorry, we will check our machine, thanks for letting us know».
The prices are good and I think they mainly just deal with the lower end that want used tires or cheap Chinese tires mainly. If you want quality Tires and Balancing go elsewhere.

Best tire shop in town– bar none. Very helpful, affordable, and very little wait time. Drove over here from Mission Valley and it was worth every penny.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Will definitely be back.

I came here after calling about an add they had Craigslist. Came in, picked out a set of used tires, first he tells me $ 225 out the door, then later raises the price to $ 250, then on top of over charging me doesn’t give me the 10% of I got from Unilocal for checking in. Very Very Dishonest place. Don’t shop here!

Above-​and-​beyond, friendly service to replace my two front tires (I had punctured the sidewall on one of them). My spare was also flat, and Sergio fixed that for me too. I’ll be going back to them next time I need help with my tires!

Came in this morning and they changed my tires quick and at a really great price.
The two guys that helped me this morning were friendly and very nice. I’ll definitely be recommending these guys to everyone.
