I am a client of this salon for three years. For me, a hair salon is a serious relationship! Jen is a great stylist! Not only do we share the best name in the world, but she is a wonderful stylist too. She believes in her clients. She doesn’t see you as a dollar sign that just walked in the door, but as a person who she cares to perform the best service for. She will make recommendations based on your hair type, personality, and your interests. She’ll always listen and never push you into something you don’t want. But, she will present you with ideas that are the trends and techniques that will keep everyone asking «where dooooo you get your hair done?» Sometimes I want to keep the secret all to myself, because Jen is the best kept secret in LA. But, you have to give her a try! I promise– once you have a consult and give her a try you won’t go back! Here is a tip: book your next appointment in advance. Remember she is the best kept secret in LA!

I just moved to downtown LA and was in need of a new salon and there are a few good options, but I am beyond thrilled to have tried Salon Eleven. Jared and Sylvia were amazing with my highlights and for the time and effort that was put in I was pretty surprised at the price — lower than expected. Not to mention the complementary champaign didn’t hurt :). If you are downtown or in the surrounding area and need an amazing hands on salon that will provide a professional yet fun and personal experience I highly highly suggest going to Salon Eleven!

Chic salon, excellent customer service and staff. When you come it really feels like a treat with the staff making sure you are satisfied, offering refreshments including champagne, cheers! Jared who’s the owner is very knowledgeable and talented, will work with you to get the results you want, is nice and easy to talk to. Definitely a gem in dtla, not overly crowded and a nice relaxing experience with fabulous results.

Jared’s been cutting my hair since I went to FIDM 5 – 6 years ago. I haven’t let anyone else touch my hair since! Even when I lived in in Chicago, I would wait to get it done on trips to LA. He’s a master at cutting and color, not to mention a great dude and inspiring businessman.

Very happy with this hair salon.
First of all service is really good, and all the team is very friendly. They make sure you feel at ease.
Then I met my hair stylist Tarra who made a miracle on my hair that were messed up by another hair stylist in another hair salon last Saturday. She did a wonderful job, I’m sooooo happy! On top of it she’s very nice and very friendly. She explained me everything well and gave me some advice to style my hair by myself.
I loved it so much I’m going back next week for highlights

Jared and his whole team are amazing! They are talented, professional, and super friendly. My husband and I have been coming here for three years and Jared never disappoints. They are true artists and treat every customer as friends. From crazy color to simple cuts they do it all and they do it better than anyone else in LA.

I just had my hair blow dry by Tarra last wk. I live nearby and been wanting to try this place instead of driving to K town where I normally go. She was great! I will definitely go back to her for my routine blow dry!!!

Tarra and Christina are the best! They both really listen to what you want done to your hair and are willing to go the extra mile for you. Tarra saved my hair from a disaster at another salon and I can’t thank her enough. :)

I have been coming to Salon Eleven for years now and love JEN! I went in for an ombré look (my hair is pretty chocolatey brown and I wanted to go blonde at the bottom).
She took the time to look through all the images I had pinned for inspiration and walked me through any fears or concerns. Even though the process took a while in the chair, she was great throughout it all. She made the time go by faster, super easy to talk to.
The end result — I love my hair! I get so many compliments all the time now. She gave me exactly what I wanted with the ombré effect and it was just enough of a punch. It has just the perfect gradient from chocolate brown at the top to bright blonde at the bottom, which is exactly what I wanted. The haircut and layering makes it feel light and voluminous too. I have coworkers come up and touch my hair asking how it was done. Seriously, lots of compliments!
Another thing to note, I told her my hair was naturally straight and all the ombré pics I saw were with wavy hair, so I wanted to make sure the color would look good on both straight and curled hair. She dried my hair (straight) and showed me the back, then curled it and showed it to me again to make sure I loved it. And I did! I can’t wait to go back for any touch ups or maybe something new!

Had a really really awesome haircut with Tarra. She was so friendly and attentive to how I wanted my hair cut. She was sympathetic to my chopping off my length and made sure I would be cool before making the Non-​retreatable snips. The salon itself was modern, very clean, and hospitable. Got to meet the owner, Jared, who was also a treat in person and would recommend to anyone looking for a great salon.

I’ve been coming to this salon for the past 6 years, and figured it’s high time I leave them the glowing review they deserve.
I first came to Salon Eleven for a relaxer and haircut with the owner Jared. Most salons won’t do relaxers without an in person consultation, and even then it has to be a future appt to do it. I’ve had relaxers done since I was 9, I know the process and how it goes… but most salons don’t do relaxers regularly so they hesitate until they can see the texture of your hair. Even then they charge a crazy amount of money for it, with lots of upcharges for things like hair length. But not Jared! He knows and understands the process well, and I was able to easily schedule for a relaxer. Everything went great and all of the staff were SO nice… so I’ve kept coming. Even now that I live in Santa Monica I still drive downtown solely for Salon Eleven.
Flash forward, and I booked Salon Eleven for my bridal hair and makeup. Since my wedding was on a Sunday (a day the salon is typically closed), they graciously opened the place for my bridal party. It was great to get ready in a place that I knew well with stylists that I knew were amazing. Christina did a great job with my hair, and Silvia was amazing with my makeup. Silvia is also the manager, and keeps the whole place running so smoothly.
I’ve also had a great experience with Jen. I first met her when Jared when her mentor, and now she sees clients alone. She’s a great stylist and HILARIOUS, and now she cuts my husbands hair.
Come here, you’ll never go anywhere else. Nor will you need to.

TARRA SAVED MY HAIR. I got a horrible haircut from a different salon, one that I thought was legit beyond repair. I walked into Salon Eleven trying to keep my expectations low and Tarra just blew them away. She was honest, nice, easy to talk to and even though I dreaddd getting haircuts she made the overall experience super pleasant. Love her and the staff here. I’ll be back!

Tarra is so amazing!!! She’s been my stylist for five years and I would never even dream of going to someone else! She so attentive and meticulous. She will always do anything you want and need to make you happy. She’s just the best. I cannot say enough great things about her. No matter what kind of hair you have, you will never regret going to Tarra! Try her!!!

I live about a 30 second walk from here and I’m upset that I just now came here. I was styled by Cristina and I left so incredibly happy. I’ve gone To salons in Glendale and north Hollywood and I just wanted to find a closer place I loved. I found it! My husband came in to get a last minute haircut because his usual girl at super cuts in Downey wasn’t available. He was very happy. He told me to check them out so I did. Cristina was a pleasure to talk to and she did a phenomenal job on my hair (long layer cut and all over color and style). The price was amazing too! Last place I went to I paid well over double. I most certainly recommend Cristina and salon Eleven.

Been working with Christina here since I was recommended to come see her when I first moved to Los Angeles some years ago. She’s amazing at cutting hair but she also has this almost preternatural ability to pick up conversation right where we left off 6 – 12 weeks ago.
You know that two week period after you get a haircut during which you hate your hair because it’s too short and you’re waiting for it to grow out? Yeah, I’ve forgotten that feeling.
The rest of the staff is lively, gracious and very nice. Conversations are like open forum there, and sometimes you’ll be a part of a conversation encompassing the whole room. It’s an amazing environment full of talented staff.

Salon Eleven are always up to date with the hair fashion world. I enjoy the people that work there are always friendly, they treat you like family. and I get amazing hair cut and style by the best Jared. Thank again Salon Eleven.

I came here recently because I followed Cristina over from the Den. I needed my hair cut before my wedding and I was able to make an appointment for a Wednesday afternoon. I was able to find some street parking during the day and it wasn’t too bad. I like the salon because the doors were opened up to the street and it was very clean and intimate.
Cristina met me at the door and it had been a while since I’d seen her. She’s always such a great stylist. She listens to what you say and she does a great job executing what you’re looking for out of your hair.
I was a bit nervous because I was getting married in a few days and wanted my hair to look a certain way. But she never fails to make me look like a million bucks.
The great part about this visit was that Cristina gave me $ 20 for coming from her previous place. So my haircut wasn’t that pricey at all.
I definitely plan on coming back when I need a haircut because it’s right down the street from my wife’s work in DTLA.

I came to Salon Eleven very recently because I followed my stylist, Christina, here from another salon. I guess this is a good time to review both Christina and Salon Eleven.
Well as for Christina, her haircuts are awesome! Why else would I follow her over right?! DUH! I can only speak for her men’s cuts cuz well I’m not a woman! Although I’ve seen her work on women before my appointments and they look great and seem satisfied too. Christina is friendly, welcoming, and is very good at men’s cuts. I get a ½ on the sides, short/​medium length on top with an oh so stylish comb over. She really knows what’s she doing with clippers, fading, and the scissors. She gets it right every time. I always leave looking and feeling a few years younger (in a good way). She usually starts by cutting the sides, then shampoo/​conditioner/​rinse, then finishes up the top, a neck shave with a blade, then styling with product. Keep them great cuts coming Christina!
As for Salon Eleven, it’s also very nice. It’s in a cleaner part of DTLA. Interpret that however you’d like! lol. The salon is modern, upscale, clean, and everyone was really nice. Receptionist was cool. Met the owner and he was cool as well. And are you ready for this? One of my favorite things about a nice salon… they give you wine! I think they have other beverages too, but why would you get other beverages when there’s wine? Great place! Thanks guys!
