I have two cats and I usually board them when my husband and I go out of town; however, over the holidays, the place we usually book fills up in May (!!!). With the holidays approaching I was desperate, so I did a quick search on Unilocal and it led me to Fur the Love of Your Pet.
Working with Maria was hands-​down the easiest, most stress-​free experience I have ever had. She came over to meet my husband and I and our fur babies prior to us leaving on our trip. Her love of pets and compassionate nature was immediately evident. My cats loved her, and so did we! For me to trust her with full access to our home while we were away says a lot about her. She even made a good impression on my neighbors.
Maria gave us updates while we were away and sent us pictures of our pets via text. I am sure she would have even provided more had I asked, but I felt comfortable with the care she provided so I didn’t ask. She was flexible, prompt, and affordable.
I absolutely will use Maria to pet-​sit again, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter!

Maria did her first house visits for my cats this Thanksgiving weekend, and I’m very glad that I already reserved her help over the December holidays. One of my cats requires pilling and an inhaler for minor chronic asthma and Maria handled it all without a hitch! She charges a very fair price for her qualifications and hard work. I have cats and birds, and Maria took excellent care of the furred and feathered — she impressed us very much at the meet-​and-​greet, and kept us updated with texts and video — letting us know how well everyone was doing.

I’ve been a pet parent for over 16 years and aside from picking up the poop my least favorite thing to do is having to clean their teeth, but i know how important that is for their health and well being so i was ecstatic to have found the ladies through this service. I’ve now used them on several occasions and absolutely love their professionalism. They come into my home brush and clean my doggies teeth and both my dogs and I are happy campers.
They do an awesome job and their prices are very reasonable, would highly recommend!

I found Maria via Unilocal and we couldn’t be happier. We had recently adopted a 10 week old puppy and our other pets were still transitioning to the new member of the house. We had scheduled a 10 day vacation and felt a pet sitter who could stay at our home would be a better fit than shipping off the dogs to a kennel and didn’t want to burden relatives who usually took care of our one dog. Hooray and many many thanks to Maria and her crew who were able to stay at our home, take care of the two pups and two cats. Our fur babies were well loved and so was our home. While we were gone the puppy developed a cough and she was able to get her to the vet and medicated the same day. Only great things to say about Maria who kept us updated with photos and puppy love notes!

I found Fur The Love of Your Pet through another pet sitter not in my area. Maria is awesome! Since I got my cat a year and a half ago I’ve been nervous to take trips and leave her. Maria made the transition smooth. She texted me that day with photos of my little one and said she’s doing well. She also posts on Instagram so I got to see a little video of her too. My wife and I found Maria when we first moved to San Diego a couple of years ago when we were in search of a dog sitter who could do walks, overnights, medications, feedings, etc… basically all aspects of dog care. We are very particular about our dogs and one of them has some very unique health issues that make us even more concerned with who we trust to take care them.
We really lucked out with Maria though. She and the other ladies that help her are terrific! They are incredibly detail oriented regarding planning the schedules, very conscientious about following through on commitments, very responsible in taking good and proper care of our dogs, reasonably priced and most importantly, our dogs LOVE her.
We have used her off and on for the past few years and we absolutely trust her in our house and with our dogs and are immensely grateful to have found Maria and her company.
