Cindy beautifully photographed our engagement session and our wedding day in La Jolla, CA. My husband and I were blessed by her talents. Cindy’s ability to capture moments of genuine joy and happiness is truly a gift. Moreover, the attention and care that she gave to our wedding – before, during, and after – to ensure that we were happy customers is a true testament to Cindy’s kind-​hearted nature and her passion for her craft. Of all the wedding vendors that I worked with Orange Turtle was the most professional. From receiving an Introduction package upon booking to let me know exactly what to expect, to the actual photo taking during our engagement session and wedding day, to the packaging and thank you note after the fact. I LOVED our photos and our experience was A+ from start to finish.
Cindy is extremely talented and I can’t tell you how many of my friends complimented our photos. She has a unique point of view and I was amazed how natural we looked in every photo she captured.
For our engagement shoot, they recommended a couple spots, but I actually suggested one of my favorite places in San Diego and they happily agreed. We met at the location and brought a few props and a change of clothes, my fiancé’s fishing poles and our cowboy boots because they held special meaning to us. They incorporated them very nicely and I was blown away with the final product.
At the wedding, they were professional, treated my family and friends kindly. And the photos really told our wedding story completely and so well.
The photos truly do speak for themselves, but the service and experience with Cindy & Daniel is what sets them apart. I’d recommend them to anyone and I’ve actually had 2 other friends book them for their weddings since.

We did a kid’s Valentine’s day photoshoot and also took photos with Cindy in celebration of my daughter’s 3^rd birthday. I LOVE how the photos turned out! I can’t believe how Cindy perfectly captured my daughter’s personality and quirky expressions. She was constantly moving (running around and jumping up and down!) but Cindy still captured her, crystal clear and with so much life! The best part was that the whole experience was so fun and easy going. We want to do family photos every year because kids grow and change so much from year to year. But we’re a little afraid because when they’re so young sometimes they don’t act normal around strangers and especially in front of the camera. Cindy knew when to take a break with the kids, how to keep it natural and capture so many memories for us! We would definitely go with Cindy again.

Cindy of Orange Turtle is an AMAZING photographer. I have no idea what the total was on the ridiculous amount of hours and days I put into researching photographers in the southern california area, but of all the photos I saw, Orange Turtle was my favorite. My husband and I had decided early on that photographer was going to be one of the most important parts of our wedding. I couldn’t be happier that we chose Orange Turtle to shoot our wedding. Cindy was so sweet and made us feel very relaxed. I am absolutely in love with the engagement session they did. I have had lots of friends and family members say «oh my god, you guys look like models», and I wish I could take the credit but I can’t, I just say «No, we just had a REALLY good photographer!». We haven’t received our wedding photos yet (the wedding was only a couple weeks ago), but I’m so confident in Cindy and Orange Turtle that I know I will love those just as much, if not more than our engagement photos. I love that I was able to enjoy my wedding day without having to stress or worry about if our photographer was capturing great photos. I highly recommend Cindy and Orange Turtle!!!

Take it from me, I’ve been married at least 10 times these guys are by far the best. They even took a picture of my dream while I was sleeping. The way they use the free light that God gave to everyone for the past millions of years and then lump it into an affordable package is just amazing!
They even made me look average. I’m naturally a 1 or a 2 but when I view these photos, I’m at least a 4 ½. None of my other 9 photographers we able to do that.
I recommend Orange Turtle no matter how ugly or beautiful you are.

These guys are great, very talented photographers. They did our wedding in Oaxaca, Mexico and truly did an awesome job, the wedding went off with out a hitch, so grateful to have found them. We will use them in the future highly recommend.

Of all the wedding vendors to me the most important was the photographer. I searched long and hard to find the perfect one. I found Orange Turtle on a blog for a wedding they did at Mt. Diablo State Park. The pictures and whimiscal, calm nature of their photographs are just beautiful. I knew it was exactly what I was looking for in a photographer and my search was over.
Cindy and Daniel are great, very easy going and professional and such a cute married couple. I am not the best in front of a camera because I get very nervous, but they made it easy on us and the photos ended up turning out great. My fiancé had food poisoning in the engagement photos and you can’t tell in the final product at all. We did not hire a videographer and were worried we would regret this, but we do not, due to the story that the pictures tell. I will treasure the very candid nature of the photos. I highly recommend Cindy and Daniel, you will not be disappointed.

My husband reached out to Cindy at Orange Turtle while we were planning our wedding halfway across the world — and you wouldn’t have even known it with the amount of attention and emails we got from Cindy. She made it incredibly easy for us to book her and sign the contract even though we had limited connectability.
Cindy and Daniel were absolutely amazing — and we have the engagement and wedding pictures to prove it. They blended in, got great shots and made sure to get all the shots my bridesmaid pointed out that would be really special. We got shots late into the evening, as they stayed for the long haul. We can now recreate the night with the great pictures they took.
We loved our pictures so much we had them take pictures of our family a year after our wedding. The pictures turned out beautifully! I really think its because Cindy makes you feel so comfortable you aren’t self conscious about getting your picture taken, everything looks so natural and beautiful.
We could not be happier with the service and all of our pictures, you will be happy if you use them too!

Orange Turtle captured our wedding perfectly! Cindy and Daniel are such talented artists and are totally able to capture the beauty of the subject in the picture. They are also so fun to work with!!!
I’m obsessed with my wedding pictures and cannot stop looking at them. I’ve received so many comments on how Cindy and Daniel captured the happiness of our wedding. When you hear that from your guests, you’ve totally succeeded!
FYI — Your wedding day passes by so quickly so hire someone who will really embrace the best moments of the wedding. After all is said and done, you really only have your pictures as a keepsake. Thankfully, I had Cindy and Daniel to help me remember my day.

Cindy and Daniel are absolutely wonderful! They are super friendly and they make you feel such at ease when taking photographs of you. Their photographs have a «dreamlike» quality which I love. They were also always very prompt in getting back to me and they were pivotal in our wedding day in making sure that they fitted in our timeline and making sure that we got all the photos we needed. Because of Orange Turtle, we now have wonderful photos of our engagement and wedding!

Cindy and Daniel at Orange Turtle are awesome. We just used them as our wedding photographers and I hope to use them for family photos in the future. They are professional but also very relaxed and fun. And their photographing style and eye for the right shot is amazing. My new husband and I did an engagement session with them in addition to our wedding package and this was one of the better things we did (and something we had not planned to do!), just to get us acclimated to the photography process. Cindy and Daniel got us feeling comfortable quickly and turned out some amazing photos. On top of that, they are responsive to questions and very organized, which helps a lot during a wedding! I cannot recommend them highly enough!

We recently had a family portrait session with Orange Turtle, and we were more than pleased with our experience. Having two active boys under the age of four makes picture taking quite an ordeal. But Cindy made the session so much fun! In fact, my older son, who normaly hides from the camera, keeps asking when we’re going back for more pictures.
The photos that we got are simply amazing. Cindy must have done some magic behind her lenses! No more stuffy studio poses; she truly captured our personalities, and we are so happy with our pictures.

We had an engagement session with a more corporate ran photography company and the photographs look so poor compared to Orange Turtle! I am very frugal and would rather pay 2x what Orange Turtle charges than to waste my time getting another free engagement session from that other company.

Cindy & Daniel’s work is amazing… They did our wedding photography and it was everything we had hoped for and more! There is a fairytale-​like quality to their photos, seemingly transporting the moment into a different world. I love the artistic composition and use of color of their photos; each photo is not just a photo, but a work of art.
Even though we live in the Bay Area, they were willing to travel all the way from San Diego for our wedding! To top it off, their fees are extremely reasonable and very affordable.

Looking over our wedding photos by Orange Turtle, the word that comes to mind is «phosphorescent.» They have this wonderful, subtle glow. The photography certainly captured the feeling of our wedding celebration and we were very pleased with everything. Our wedding was scheduled for 9÷27÷08 and we started the vendor search in ¹⁄₀₈. We stumbled upon Orange Turtle on an internet search and admittedly, the name and the note about rabbits in their description peaked our interest! We were definitely targeting warm and fuzzy photographers and they are it! They are disarming and wonderful with giving directions. They were extremely prompt with e-​mail communications. If you are considering Cindy and Daniel, I recommend visiting their website and evaluating their photographs — if you can see yourselves in their style of photos, they will be a good match. I do recommend scheduling an engagement shoot before the wedding — it’s a great way for you to get to know the photographers and for them to get to know you so they know what you would like captured on the wedding day! My husband and I found Orange Turtle through a recommendation of one of his co-​workers. We loved their work we saw online but initially ruled them out since they were based in San Diego. After meeting and interviewing with multiple photographers, we still had Orange Turtle on the back of our minds. We decided to go ahead and give them a call. We spoke with Cindy and she was so friendly and very patient with all our questions. My husband and I loved their friendly attitude for our wedding vision, their personal artistic style and overall photographic work so much that we decided that it was worth it to hire them out from San Diego for our Bay area wedding.
One of the best things about them is that they are very easy to work with. They are not only great but very very prompt with all their work. We received teasers and preliminary photos probably the week or two after we shot our engagement session and wedding. I was so surprised and truly appreciate this so much, considering that I have another friend who waited for her photos after 5 months!
I am very camera-​shy but Cindy and Daniel made my husband and I feel like we know them, which was a big plus for our wedding day. Since we already had a fun experience shooting our engagement session with them, I was really excited to see them again on the wedding day. Seeing them at our wedding day made my husband and I feel relaxed and assured that they will do their best to capture all the right moments.
A week after the wedding, I already saw a sample of my wedding photos on their blog. My husband and I were so excited that we took a peek during our honeymoon. We love their work and would 100% recommend them.

Cindy and Daniel are amazing at what they do. Not only are they a truly genuine and sweet couple, but their work is flat out breathtaking. They could make a rusty shack look like the home of a princess! It’s pure magic. My husband and I hate being in photographs, but the Orange Turtle duo did such an awesome job that we now have a wall full of the family photos they took for us. They helped capture some wonderful memories for us… and we will definitely be using them in the future.

Beautiful, romantic, dreamy photographs. Fun down to earth couple. I hired them for our wedding and have no regrets. They are a steal for the quality. Their photos have a magazine feel. They make their subjects look like professional models. It’s pretty amazing.
