History

Established in 2006.

Before the creation of the company, Kitty was 16 years old when she

discovered photography. With no real training, she always went on instincts and they have never been steered wrong. She prides herself on capturing «real moments», and it was those moments that brought her photos to life. From the bonding moments of mother and child, to the welcoming home of a soldier. From the good times with friends, to the «I do’s» at the altar. The emotion she felt when her camera clicked is shown through her work.

Worth a Thousand Words photography started out originally as Photography by Vanessa Gutierrez on the island of Guam. She lived there as a navy wife and mother of five children. Being busy all the time did not make it easy for her to work outside of her home. So fate would have it that a photographer in Guam was selling her equipment, which was the same time that Kitty was considering going back into photography. It was then and there that it was decided to start a photograpy business.

Meet the Business Owner

Kitty S.

Business Owner

When I was 16 years old, I thought that I would be a school teacher at this point in my life. I was excited about the idea of teaching curious

children on how the world works. Never did I once think that I would make my hobby that I am passionate about into my career.

It was almost six years ago that I decided to make my hobby a career. I have never once regretted my decision. It became a journey and

one I was able to bring my kids along on. I have met so many wonderful people that I have been privileged to capture their moments in life.

Moments which to them are intimate, such as the first moments that a new born has bonded with their mother and father. Even my own daughter at the age of seven took her first professional photo of one of my clients during a maternity photo shoot.

I never thought myself to be one of the best photographer’s in the industry, but I would like to think that I am great at what I do.
