When searching for photographers, we started based on friend’s recommendations. One of those photographers eventually referred us to Chris, and we’re so happy they did.
We met Chris for our initial meeting back in July. He discussed his services, showed us his portfolio, and gave us info on why he does his services the way he does. Having been through the wedding photography process himself, he wants to make it easy for a couple, and not force them to make decisions about packages, albums, etc… up front. This is just what we needed.
We decided to do an engagement session in September. Chris met us at the Sculpture Park in Downtown Seattle and we had so much fun. It was great to get to work with him before the wedding so we knew what to expect when the big day came.
As our wedding date approached, Chris reached out to us to discuss specific photo locations at our venue, the timeline, and provided many valuable suggestions. He had already checked out our venue, so he had great insight on the lighting and the best places to take photos.
When the wedding day finally came, Chris & team were on time and professional. They instantly made you feel comfortable and at ease, and began taking our getting ready photos. We were planning on outdoor rain photos with umbrellas but we totally lucked out and the rain stopped and we had dry outdoor photos. Chris & team were there to take photos throughout the ceremony, cocktail hour & reception.
We received our wedding photos very quickly (we’d heard stories of having to wait months) — and they were wonderful! We loved being able to choose which ones were our favorites instead of having a photographer do that (some photographers do that… crazy right!!!) We were instantly able to start downloading & sharing pictures — just in time to make some Christmas gifts.

Chris is incredible! He is a fun guy with great positive energy! From our first meeting, Chris’ personality put us at ease. His quiet confidence continually settled our nerves throughout the entire wedding process. He was unobtrusive but happy to give advice and direction when asked. I love how he was able to really capture our personalities perfectly! He was like a ninja, stealthfully moving around to capture every special moment. We are so incredibly happy with the service Chris provided us! From the minute we met with him, a year before our wedding, he was thorough, friendly, and made us feel like we would be taken care of.
1. As an anxious and often restless bride, I was very relieved to find that he was very quick to respond to any questions I had through email.
2. His pricing is very affordable for the service you are getting. ~1.5 hours for an engagement shoot, unlimited time on the day of the wedding, and rights to all the photos.
3. On the day of the wedding, Chris and the second shooter helped us coordinate the first look and really went above and beyond by transporting my husband and I to the ceremony. He helped us ahead of time by estimating how much time we’d need for the first look/​family photos and our pre-​wedding activities went smoothly because of that!
4. The photos are absolutely wonderful! He caught so many moments that I didn’t know about and all the things that I wanted to remember are perfectly captured. We had some rain during the ceremony and he somehow made the photos look amazing with the natural light.
As other customers have mentioned, we have the rights to all the photos. I cannot emphasize how important that is to my husband and I! We have over 2,000 from the day and can easily download them from the link provided to us. This has made it so easy to work with our parents to put together wedding albums.

It was very difficult when it came time to choosing a wedding photographer! There are so many options out there and it was very overwhelming. However, there are many many reasons why I am SO happy that my husband and I went with Christopher Gendron Photography and I will recommend everyone to him!
One thing that was very important for us is that we wanted the rights to our wedding pictures. Not a lot of photographers do this! Some will do it with an extra charge or some just won’t do that. With Chris, we got the rights to ALL of our pictures and he gave us EVERY single picture he took on a DVD. We didn’t have to pick and choose, we got them all! He will also start at whatever hour you want him to on your wedding day until you tell him to stop! He has another assistant that comes with him on the wedding day as well. This was amazing considering I talked to many that would charge over a certain number of hours. On top of all this, he also included an engagement session that also didn’t have a time limit! Basically for an AMAZING price, we were able to get ALL the pictures he took along with complete ownership rights for as long as we wanted him to take pictures for our wedding day and engagement session. It doesn’t get better than that!
He also sent us a gorgeous proof book afterward with the DVDs. During the wedding day both him and his assistant kept in mind certain shots we wanted. He was very friendly and I had many people come up to me and tell me they loved our photographer!

Chris is just awesome! We couldn’t be happier with our choice for our wedding photographer! Choosing a photographer is an important decision… the day goes by so quickly and the pictures are THE way to help you relive the moment.
From the first time we met with Chris we knew he’d be the one :). He was thorough, professional, and his pictures looked fantastic. We really liked that unlike most other photographers, Chris didn’t a set amount of hours and then charged extra, or kept the rights of the pictures for himself; it was all included! He photographed the whole day; and it’s just so awesome to see pictures of how the day progressed.
His pictures are AMAZING! We look at the pictures and they just look unreal! He is incredibly talented and has an amazing eye for awesome locations/​spots for the pictures. He does what needs to be done to get the right picture… he had to crawl on the floor for a couple of pictures and didn’t mind. I just still can’t believe how amazing our wedding pictures turned out!
He is also really awesome to work with. He is easy to talk to, and he understands what you need. He is quick to get back to you and very professional. During our engagement session he was carrying my purse around. During our wedding, he was adjusting my dress the whole day, and also the guys’ suits. He really is a fantastic vendor overall. With all the wedding stress, it is just awesome to be able to rely on someone completely to do the job well, and we had full confidence on Chris, and of course we got exactly what we expected from him. We can’t recommend him enough! Everything you get for the price you pay is really amazing value!

From the first meeting, we knew that he was the perfect choice. We got along great, and he was always quick to answer any questions. He scouted out our location to find the places we wanted to take pictures. He’s great at suggesting poses based on your personality. He really goes the extra mile to make sure he captures you in your natural form.
I was a hot mess and didn’t feel as prepared as I should have, but Chris took over and took AMAZING pictures! He showed us some of the shots he took when he was taking them the day of the wedding! Chris was perfect for our wedding. He was very practical and very honest with us. He was willing to do anything that we wanted, but also gave insight into what would make the pictures better. He did a couple things that I absolutely loved:
1. He started when we wanted and he didn’t stop until we said he could go home. There was no extra charge for a long day.
2. He gave us a list to fill out of what pics we wanted and he ensured that he would get those for us.
3. We got ALL of our pics. We got all the rights, and he gave us everything. Even if he thought the picture was bad, he gave it to us to decide if we wanted to make our own prints.
4. He has fun while he is there. He will interact with guest and help the feel at ease with having a big lens in their face.\

Chris was beyond awesome! He did our engagement pictures plus wedding! He was easy going, creative, flexible, friendly etc etc. he captured our wedding from beginning to end and our pictures were amazing! Everyone loved our pictures. We got a lot of compliments! Thank you chris for an awesome job!

Chris is, in a word, amazing. We just got our wedding photos and could not be happier. He has such a great eye. The photos are so unique and just perfect. Of course we weren’t surprised that we loved them, since we also loved our engagement photos. Chris is also just a great guy and awesome to work with — he’s super cool and laid back and has a great sense of humor. He immediately put my husband who hates photos at ease. Chris is also the best in terms of value — his packages include unlimited time (other photographers I noticed do 5 – 8 hours and you have to pay for extra hours!) as well as the engagement session. He was also so flexible on the day of the wedding, able to tell when we needed breaks, and very attuned to certain family dynamics that affected the photos. He was also so quick with the posed bridal party and family photos which was much appreciated. I highly, highly recommend Chris, you will not be disappointed.

Christopher Gendron was recently the photographer for a wedding that I was in. He did an absolutely amazing job. I was so impressed with how he was able to capture every moment, but never once noticed he was really there. He was very easy to work with and took some amazing shots. He is truly a nice, genuine guy. I believe he is the next «it» guy for photography. Weddings are never an easy task to work and he made it look like a piece of cake. Great work Christopher!

Chris was everything we could ask for in a wedding photographer. While I wasn’t comfortable having my picture taken at first, I showed up to our engagement photos and by the end I was posing and laughing the whole time. He has a way to make you feel comfortable, but still feel like you and your lover are the only two in the room.
Some people asked me if it was weird having him at the house when all of the girls werel getting ready for the wedding but I honestly forgot he was there! He has a way of staying in the shadows and an amazing eye to catch the most artistic shots you didn’t even know he was there. He was also very patient with the family photos and was great with the shy 2 year olds who refused to cooperate :)
He is very flexible in pricing packages and isn’t out to nickle and dime you. He actually got married himself during our engagement and he truly understands working with brides and the importance of a budget.

I stumbled upon Chris’ website in my seemingly endless search for an affordable, yet modern and creative photographer. Chris was very easy to work with… flexible and accommodating. We chose his «Basic II» package which was essentially 2 photographers (Chris and his assistant) for unlimited time on the day of the wedding and all the digital images for us to keep. We met with Chris a couple weeks before the wedding to make sure we were all on the same page regarding the schedule and which specific pictures we wanted. Chris and his assistant were at our venue to start taking «getting ready» pictures at about 10am (our ceremony didn’t start until 3pm). They stayed until after our sparkler exit at about 10pm. They were extremely professional throughout the day and kept the formal pictures moving in a respectful way. In the weeks following the wedding I heard from guests several times that every time they thought «oh this is a great shot, I should go find the photographer» they would see Chris or his assistant was already there shooting. Sure enough, when we received our photos (uploaded to a website for us to share with our guests, less than a month after the wedding) they told the story of the day from beginning to end with every important moment captured and a perfect mix of posed, candid, and artistic images (over 2000 pictures!). The proof book and CDs were mailed to us a few weeks later. They came beautifully wrapped and we were pleasantly surprised to see one of our favorite photos of us on the front and back of the book and on the CDs. Many of the images were provided with a variety of effects (black and white, textured, etc.). We are so incredibly happy with our photos and our decision to go with Chris!

Don’t hesitate to hire Chris as your wedding photographer. Easy to work with, follows the style you want and ideas you have. Takes pictures of things/​events you didn’t even know you wanted. Works hard through the entire day, leaving with well over a thousand photos. Although he takes great classic ‘posed’ shots, his unique skill is in obtaining the beautiful ‘natural’ shots of the bride/​groom, family, and friends you never noticed him taking. Chris was amazing. We knew the quality of his work from our engagement photos, so I was THRILLED to see our wedding photos. The week of the wedding, he offered to bring an assistant (the joys of an off-​season wedding!). The assistant took great photos of the details of the wedding (shoes, dress, etc), while Chris got the posed and action shots. He blended into the crowd, and my guests raved about how he got great shots. He was everywhere!
He gives you rights to his digital negatives, you get them on CDs, and he can put together a flexible package. His winter rates were fantastic.
