History

Established in 2001.

Beginning as a family business in the late 1980’s, Precision Door Service organzied as an informal partnership in 1997. With aspirations of building the best garage door company in America, the founders began a franchise program that is designed for national expansion. Incorporated in Arizona in 1999, Precision Door Service began its expansion nationwide through franchising. In 2001, Precision Door Service moved its corporate headquarters from Arizona to Florida.

Precision Door Service of Seattle was established in 2002, and serves customers in all of the Greater Seattle area from Bellingham to Olympia.

Meet the Business Owner

Kevin S.

Business Owner

Kevin started his 30 year career in the home improvement industry on the financial side serving as the controller for a construction company. After the company went public, he moved on and became CFO for a window and door company which included management of the installation, finance division, and administration of the company.



Kevin purchased his first Precision Door Service franchises in Seattle and Spokane. Eleven years ago, he started with three employees and now has enjoyed substantial growth, purchasing franchises in Utah and California; Precision Door Service Salt Lake City in 2004, and most recently Precision Door Service San Diego in 2012. With 45 employees including both residential and commercial door and access systems divisions.

For the past 11 years, Kevin has belonged to the local IDA affiliate, and the Northwest Door and Operator Association. He was elected to the Board serving for four years — three as Vice President.
