We have a focus on Old World craftsmanship but, are experts with new age materials such as Trex, Fiberon, Azek, Timbertech, vinyl fencing, aluminum, stainless steel and glass railings, cable railings, and exotic hardwoods.

I had work completed by MBA Deck & Fence on my house in West Seattle and I just wanted to give a huge thank you to Matt and his carpenter Jeff for the awesome job on my deck. He was very responsive when I called and came out to do an estimate fixing my deck. I figured this would be something they’d be able to do later in the summer, but Matt was able to make it work and started just a couple days after I gave the thumbs up. As a former contractor myself, I appreciate how straightforward he was in the estimate and the price was great. His dog that he brought to the estimate was pretty adorable too.
Now, on to his carpenter, Jeff. He was a true craftsman and did an amazing job with attention to detail and worked his tail off. And after the first day, he happened to save the life of a baby in Everett — seriously, here’s the story (Jeff is interviewed and quoted in the article) —
What’s crazy is that he still came out a couple days later to finish the job. A true hero, great craftsman, and of course I highly recommend both Jeff and Matt.
And my deck looks great!!! Thanks guys!!!

After multiple attempts, haven’t been able to get an estimate from Matt. If the «Seattle building boom» has got you buried in work 1) Update your website 24 hour response statement. 2) Remove your Unilocal $ 155 for $ 200 deal 3) Hire someone to give bids.

Matt was straight forward with his bid and availbility. He communicated well and was responsive. Pricing was resonable.
The project was building a stairs from our deck to our patio. The job was done timely and looks great.

I was towing a U-​Haul trailer today when the drawbar came off (improper placed hitch pin, thanks U-​Haul…), causing the trailer to disconnect and the coupler to slide under my car.
This mess was blocking half of the lanes on the freeway for only less than a few minutes before I saw the MBA Deck and Fence truck pull up in front of me. With no hesitation, the MBA boys jumped out and not only helped me pull the coupler out from under my car, but also put together a homemade hitch pin using a nut and bolt to get me off the freeway.
I’ve never gone to MBA for my deck and fence needs. But if they are half as good at their job as they were helpful to me, then they’re the guys to go to. Thanks again for saving me guys. Ya’ll are awesome.

I’m honored to be the first one reviewing Matt! We received several quotes for our deck, trellis and fence project in Seattle and decided to go with Matt. His bid was right in line with the others, but what made us go with him was that he took the time to explain the various material options and he gave us his opinion on some things we could change to make our plan better. I am very pleased with the end result. We had to make some changes to our original design in the middle of construction (decided to add a hot tub, change gate location, etc.) and Matt was easy to talk to and gave his honest opinions about the best way to move forward. He is a one man operation so he can book out a ways during the summer though.
